There are some things I'd like to do before I kick it.
1. Another playoff game. My last one was my birthday Jan 6 1990. Clay intercepted Jim Kelly on the 1 yard line to end the game. I'd like to see another one before I die.
2. Did I mention a playoff game?
3. Army Navy in Philadephia.
4. Halibut fishing off the coast of Kodiak AK
5. Fishing Peacock Bass in the Amazon River Brazil
6. Playoff game. I think I mentioned this though..
7. Flip off and Laugh at 45 in the same room on 11-03-2020
8. See The Rolling Stones one more time.
9. Another shot at a Bluefin Tuna on board the Hatteras Fever with Capt Buddy Hooper out of Hatteras NC
10. Walk across the casino floor at Monte Carlo wearing a formal white dinner jacket.
1. Visit Gibraltar, go to the top of the rock 2. Cross over into Morocco while I'm nearby 3. Pilot license 4. Learn Krav Maga 5. Learn to play bass/guitar 6. Visit the beaches of Normandy 7. Build a car/hot rod 8. Learn to be a machinist & gunsmith 9. Visit Alaska & Hawaii 10. Visit as much of the South Pacific as I can get to 11. Spend my retirement years occasionally cruising the country in an RV
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.
Watch my grandsons become men Build my own custom home in Central Oregon Fly fish Iceland for giant brown trout See the Browns win a Super Bowl See the Braves win the World Series See the Tribe win a World Series Fly in a glider plane Ride a luxury train to Banff National Park
It’s sad, but the Browns winning the Super Bowl would be on my list ... even though I have zero control over it
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
My bucket list is filled with destinations... I was blessed enough to check my #1 off a couple years back by going to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat. It was breathtaking. Watching the sunrise over the temple with my girlfriend filled me with so much gratitude that I was able to make it happen.
Now my list looks like this... #1 Sydney Harbor, Australia #2 Vietnam #3 Barcelona, Spain #4 Lisbon, Portugal #5 back to Paris, this time with my girlfriend who’s not been. #6 Fiji/Tahiti/Palau #7South Africa #8Patagonia
I’ll likely get Vietnam checked off next. Traveling to SE Asia is affordable compared to the rest. I’m trying to get my art into a festival in Sydney. Been trying for a couple of years actually. Would be nice to have an all expense paid trip to knock that one off the list.
In reality my biggest bucket list wish is to not have to retire as a nurse, but to be able to walk away from it and into a full time role as a working artist. It’s something I’m working towards diligently. I try not to think about it as the end goal but more of a byproduct of being able to share my creativity. I see it getting closer as the years go by... but try not to dream too big. I just try to put my creativity to work regardless if it ever happens.
I could have added the Brown Super Bowl too but I won’t add things to my bucket list I have no control over.
1. Being alive to see the coming of the Lord 2. Going to another Browns Playoff Game My last on was in 1994 vs Patriots 3. Seeing my Browns in their 1st Super Bowl 4. Going to San Francisco and seeing my Giants 5. Going to see my Celtics in the Boston Garden
John 3:16 Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Barcelona would be higher up if I hadn’t caught the SE Asia bug (not the corona virus) when I visited. The food, the beaches, the culture, the inexpensiveness... Toledo and Barcelona have certainly been on my list longer than Vietnam. It’s just a month can be had in SE Asia for the cost of a week in Barcelona. Unless I die an untimely death I’d expect I’ll get both of them checked off before I pass.
Don’t get greedy. Your #1 happens in your lifetime means the rest of us don’t get to see our bucket lists checked off. Nor likely a Browns’ Super Bowl. Just sayin’.
It has been a long time ago but I was in Barcelona.
What I remember was it was beautiful. But what stuck out more was Majorca the island right off the coast from Barcelona.
When I was there it was like Ft. Lauderdale. All the Scandinavian's went there for spring break. I was with two buddies from Cleveland we were about 20 years old.
I have never seen more beautiful girls in my life.
And Scandinavians are very open about sex. Damn that combination got my attention real quick.
I went to china for a month once just a long vacation that was great. Yellow mountains and Li river are very cool look them up.
The Li looks amazing. Learned about it a few years back. Picturesque is an understatement. Would certainly visit if given the chance. Laos is another country that intrigues me. Kuang Si Falls in Luang Prabang, a jaw dropper. If Myanmar can get it’s actually together I’d love to visit there too.
If you haven’t seen Ha Long Bay in Vietnam check it out...
I needed to go from Guilin to Yangshuo. I just arrived at the Guilin airport I asked how I can get to Yangshuo. They said bus $2 cab $10 or boat tomorrow. I explained that I had hotel reservations and needed to get there today. They said you can take a private boat for $140. I asked when does that leave? They said whenever you want its a private boat . I booked it and went down the river in a small boat with a guy that didnt speak english, I dont know chinese. It lasted 2 1/2 hours I took 200 picture it was a beautiful day. The Yellow mountains where just as amazing. I made it to the top of lotus peak.
1. Visit Iceland 2. Reindeer sleds in Finland above the circle. 3. Attend the Memorial before Jack passes. 4. Have Emeril give me a private cooking lesson. 5. I could see a white coat in Monaco, but I tend to smudge, I would go black tie.
That is about it. Pat and I have been pretty much everywhere we have wanted except Iceland . We have jumped out of airplanes, ridden elephants, I have conducted orchestras, had a hour on the PBS station playing the tunes I like. I have taken cooking lessons in Paris and Rome...I like to cook, and she like that I like to cook...I don't make beds...she has to do that or it doesn't get done.
Been to the Masters on Saturday and Sunday a few times. My bucket is pretty full.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

Similar story. We pulled up after dark in Krabi, Thailand. We had to catch a long boat to Rialay Beach. An area not accessible by vehicle. We got to the longboat dock and asked about cost and schedule. The woman basically said we had to wait until the boat was full, about $6 per person, or we could hire it private. When asked how long they take to fill she said we could have to wait a couple hours. We paid $40 for the private ride. Totally worth it. This was the beach we spent 5 days on...
I have been all over Europe from Iceland to Poland and everywhere in between, across Canada from Nova Scotia to Vancouver, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico and I have seen 41/50 states. I am well travelled in N. America & Europe, now I want to see:
1. Vietnam/Laos/Cambodia 2. Ghana 3. Cuba 4. Peru 5. Iran (its culture is so ancient there is much I would love to see, but alas...not yet)
And then a few others:
*To see the beauty and awesomeness of a Great White in the wild (shark cage off the coast of S. Africa?)
*Browns v Green Bay at Lambeau in the winter (they play in 2021, I believe it will be in GB...I have my eyes on this)
*To find an elusive original UK mono pressing of a favorite record of mine that is affordable
* Trump being voted out of office in November 2020!
*And, of course, to see the Browns win a Super Bowl (for the record my last Browns playoff game was the double OT Jets game in 1986!).
Guess I’ve been pretty lucky to see alot of Thailand/Vietnam/Laos/Cambodia. Spent 2 of my 3 years in the Army in one of those 4 countries. And have been to Thailand maybe 10 times since then on vacations.
In Thailand I’ve seen and been in many temples. Drove by where the King lives. Seen ALOT of Muay Thai fights. Talked to so many people from different countries, Australia, Russia, England, New Zealand, many of my bests nights were just talking and drinking with strangers.
Cambodia, didnt see much as the Khmer Rouge were still around. And wandering around Phnom Phen was not recommended.
Laos stayed in Savannakhet and Vientiene for 3 months. Saw the Plane of Jars.
Vietnam spent alot of time in Hanoi, Danang, Hue, and many more. Drove by the Hanoi Hilton many times, in ‘92 it was a bank, but is was still very cold and dark looking place. Wanted to go to see Ho Chi Mihns body, which is encased in glass, but our Vietnamese counterparts wouldnt allow us to go, just take pictures from the outside. Drank a night away on China Beach, we were the only ones there, really cool experience. Dont do it anymore but in ‘92 you could get 20 rolled joints in a cigarette box for $.50, want a weekend that was, lol.
Spent my 20th birthday in Laos, and my 21st in Pattaya City, Thailand. Could go on and on, figured I’d share a little of my experiences.
Been there as well, be it 50+ years ago. Not all that great then, but did see much.
Some mentioned Machu Picchu. My wife wants to go. Me not so much. Now we are older, I think she knows it probably isn't the best idea at this point. About 15 years ago she was really hot on going. I managed to talk her in to Tahiti.
I knew I had to come up with something better than a cabin in Gatlinburg to coax her out of that idea. She is pretty sly. Maybe she just holds Machu Picchu over my head to get what she really wants?
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
I have so much unfinished business in Europe that it legitimately bothers me.
One major point on my list is to see every castle in Europe. There are 20,000 in Germany alone, and unfortunately I’ve only seen 15 of them.
Epic road trip to Brasov, Romania. Why? Bran’s castle, also known as Dracula’s castle in the Transylvania region.
I just love road trips, but especially over there. Where I was stationed in Mannheim, Prague, Amsterdam, and Paris were all 4 1/2-5 1/2 hour drives either direction. Zurich, Switzerland was about 3 and some change.
Comparably, 4 1/2 hour drive will get me from cleveland Ohio to......Cincinnati.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Austria is easily the most beautiful country I’ve ever been to.
Easily, bro.

Yea, the Alternate goal is to Atleast knock out the major ones. I was thinking the top 10 per country, and then some minor ones every now and then.
The autobahn makes travel ridiculously fast though so there’s that.

I thought this too.....and then I went to Iceland.
Reykjavik not so much, but the geography of the country/island is simply out of this world, surreal and absolutely breathtaking.
New Zealand seems like it may be in the running too. Haven’t been but every photo I’ve seen is spectacular.
Yeah, the only way I can describe Iceland was surreal and almost lunar. A stunning geography that is growing, changing, rearranging right in front of you. Also, there is something rather discomforting, yet awe inspiring to stand on a subglacial volcano knowing that if it erupted it had enough energy to change life, as we know it, on earth.
This has been something I have "unfortunately" been thinking a bit about, as of late. I have a lot of destinations in mind, but not all. I haven't even ranked anything.
I am getting to do one this Fall. I am going on a trip to Disney World with my 9 and 7 yr old nephews. (Their first trip). My wife and I, we enjoy going to DW...but we have no children. So it is this trip we are looking forward to more than any of the others. Just to see their faces when they see things for the first time...I can't put a price tag on that.
I will own a Corvette...I am picky tho. Always have been. But I have my eyes on a couple that I may be able to get this year. My Uncle who just recently passed, owned a 67 convertible. One of the best summers of my life, I got to work on this car every day with he and my cousin. He introduced me to this car when I was 7 and I have been a "Corvette Guy" ever since.
I want to watch the Corvettes race at the 24 hrs. of Le Mans
I want to return to Germany (I lived there as a small child) and visit the small village I lived in.
Would love to visit Italy, France, and England
Here in the States, I want to take a trip to Maine and visit all the lobster shacks I can...LOL. Take a trip to Hawaii and visit the USS Missouri. Visit Yellowstone and try to see what I have only seen in Ansel Adams prints. I want to fish in Alaska I want to Deep Sea Fish (that I can do here...anytime...lol)
Take a road trip down Rte 66 in my Corvette.
See a Browns playoff game in person.(what better way to end it..lol)
I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...
What's the use of wearing your lucky rocketship underpants if nobody wants to see them????
I would like to talk to people...Spend time traveling and meeting people.
Pope Francis would be the top... not because of him being the Pope..because of his personality. Being able to speak many languishes...being able to communicate with everyone...I feel meeting strangers would give me the opportunity to experience things I never even thought of being able to experience... Kind of like when I was younger.. I've done some cool things because of the people I met.
I want to meet my soulmate and go somewhere, where you can see this sky. And lay in the grass with him. And watch the night sky.
I feel like this will never happen.
That was an exes and my song. Makes me think of her, and my early 20’s. Still love it to this day. Love her still too. And her me. Just not romantically anymore. That place is held by my amazing girlfriend.
Good luck on your quest for love. It’s an amazing drug.
