It was awesome to see the teams in front of Ohio State lose. USC beat the same Washington team by 3 points that Ohio State beat by 19 points. LSU's claim to be ranked #2 is solidified only if they beat Florida - who lost to an unranked team! Oh yeah, and again, Ohio State rolled on.
If the Buckeyes go undefeated they are in the National Championship, matter of fact, they should be in the top two spots right now considering how good their defense is, and how bad they beat Washington compared to how close USC came to losing to Washington. LSU apparantly doesn't play anybody that's any good, why should either USC, or LSU be ranked ahead of Ohio State?

Crazy polls this week!
LSU is #1 in AP poll... USF who was unranked what? 2 weeks ago is now 6th! Kentucky is in the top 10!
We need UF to beat LSU... then USC and Cal play each other so that's another spot.
OSU wins out and their in... of course IMO we haven't played anyone yet. Still have Wisconsin, UM, and PSU... all good teams.

Don't forget about Purdue. I didn't think we played any good teams either, until Washington lost to USC by 3 points. OSU wins out and their in.

Honestly, I dont think Florida is good enough to beat LSU. Florida almost lost to an unranked team last week, then lost to another unranked team on Sunday. They can't hang with LSU. OSU should be #1 or #2 on account of what their defense has done, combined with the final score from when they beat Washington versus the final score from when USC played Washington.

i agree with the first part, i'm not completely sold on the buckeyes yet...
they showed some flaws on saturday, and it's good that they did in that kind of a game where they still controlled the tempo, because the coaches will have good film to look at...
but florida is going to get decked on saturday... tim tebow may not want to play football again after having to play against this defense...
ohio state has set themselves up nicely... tough game against purdue on saturday, but easily winnable with how bad purdue's defense is... penn state was overrated and that is a winnable (but still very tough) game
wisconsin will be a battle, but it's a home game, and that place should be rocking if both those teams go in unbeaten...
illinois may give us fits with their spread offense, but again, it's in the shoe, and they should win, setting up a battle in ann arbor, where michigan can spoil our hopes...
in my opinion, i think they're going to drop a game this year...
'but next year, they're returning what, 20 of 22 starters? they'll be #1 in the country going into the year, with the big game being in the shoe, it sets up beautifully...

I'm not sold on OSU yet either... I think we beat a good Washington team, but we didn't look great in that game. This weekend will be a good test.... I know it's Purdue, but they have played well.
What worries me is our last 3 out of 4 games are really tough. I HATE playing at PSU at night... that is one of the toughest places to play IMO. Glad we have Winsconsin at home, and you never know with UM.
In terms of UF and LSU... I think LSU is going to win, but don't count out Urban Meyer... I know he's going to be fired up this week after losing at home.

They lost to an unranked team, and almost lost to another unranked team last week. Who cares if they go undefeated from here on out, there is no way they ever get ranked 1 or 2 again this year.

LMAO... ... I distinctly remember a few years back when the OSU mantra was "a win is a win".. the point spread doesn't matter... you shouldn't drop if you win, even if it's close... oh my how the tide changes.... So don't take this the wrong way my brother, but if you consider the quality of the opponents.. Cal, Kentucky, South Florida, and even Boston College should all be ranked ahead of OSU....

It was a great week for college football. Some great upsets. USC almost losing.
