Go read the story and inform yourself. Russell Vaught was the victim of religious discrimination by the US government

it was how he carried that message to try to discriminate and be hostile and accusatory to others who were not Christian that was the issue and as a public/government official there needs to be a SEPARATION of faith and Govt ..... bottom line, clearly Vaught was not well equipped to set aside what he believes his religion says and carry out his duties without being prejudiced by his religion.

If you ask me, I think every time somebody invokes god or Jesus in public during a debate on political issues or other logical rational adult conversation, you should be allowed to beat them with a stick.
