Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
Whitney Houston had a once in a lifetime kind of voice. She was incredibly talented.

I read a lot of these responses and agree with a many of the names. I would have a really hard time picking one, but another I would add (I apologize if her name was posted earlier) is Marilyn McCoo from the Fifth Dimension.
I think to single out a single voice is impossible because there is so much difference between some vocalists, but to me that does not make one better than the other, just different.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
Did you know Heart paid their dues in Elyria Ohio at the Joker? They were the girl band that played Zepplin. They were just starting out and unknown at the time.
...did I say angel? I meant angle as in an angle grinder.
Sounds like a can opener having an orgasm.

I understand that a lot of folks don't listen to all of these songs, but I encourage you to listen to this one. I sent it to a couple of dudes I respect, but I don't think they listened.
She is an angelic voice that is extremely pure. She struggled for a long time and chose to follow her own convictions instead of doing what the record companies wanted her to do.
She didn't find global fame until after her death, when some industry guy from England heard her music and researched her story. She had succumbed to cancer after a long battle. She was a true musical artist because the work was more important than the fame and money
So, last Sunday, I found a new favorite soprano. Her name is Janinah Burnett . She performed this incredible new-ish work with us by living contemporary composer by Nkeiru Okoye.
In this movement, she portrays Harriet Tubman after her transformation from victimized slave Minty Ross to Railroad conductor known to many as 'Moses.'
'My Name is Harriet Now.' -from the 2-act theatrical production "Harriet Tubman- When I Crossed that Line to Freedom."
It was such a treat and inspiration to perform this work with Ms. Burnett last Sunday. The venue absolutely vibrated with the energy she poured into her performance. Not a dry eye in the house, and that includes my colleagues onstage, who have pretty much seen and heard it all.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
Side note. I was at a party for a kid this past year and the parents hired some girl to perform. She had a loop machine which could make her a one person band. She would lay down a guitar track. Then key board and add drums and base if needed. She was a young pretty girl with talent.
She opened up about her struggle with depression. Something she had from a early age. Sounding exactly like what this girl stated about her struggles with suicidal thoughts and depression in general.
When you watched her perform and her looks. You would think wow she has everything going for her.
Amy is such a sad story. A great talent but like others she struggled with success and excess.
Sorry she is no longer with us. Her performance at Dingle in Ireland is a classic. If you like her and had never seen the entire performance well worth it.
Amy Winehouse was a tremendous vocal talent. She had that smokey feel down pat.
I was never a big fan of Janis Joplin's voice.

I have to add this session with Tony Bennett because she just sparkles. She was raised on this kind of music and adored Tony. And of course Tony Bennett is amazing.
Not to often that a father is able to say that a song is about his son.
But that is the case with this song. Jade MacRae is from Australia. She has been a star there for years and she now performs with Joe Bonamassa. She wrote this song and it is on her new album.
We were just together last Saturday when the band played the Fox theater in Atl. My son works and travels on the tour. He owns the catering business that works the tour both domestic and international.
