I love gospel music. I'm not talking about the message, but I am talking about the power and soul of those who sing it. A lot of my favorite female singers had a background in Gospel music.
Young, black females doing their thing in a church. One of those ladies was Oleta Adams, who has one of the most powerful and clear voices I have ever heard. I'll post a couple of familiar ones, but it goes much, much deeper.
I never have understood why she didn't become wildly popular. She is so far superior to so many that made it big.
And I have to say, this may seem odd, but my wife dragged me to one of her concerts this year. I am not a country fan, but the sheer power in her voice in my opinion is up there with the above two. I actually encourage some to really listen to her range and power of her voice. Its rather amazing. A futher down 1C - Carrie Underwood.
I've posted some of her songs before and I think I should post a couple more. Sometimes, music is fun. Caro is fun. She can make you dance even if you can't dance.
I can dance. My dogs? Ehhh.......they love when I dance w/them when Caro is playing. Have a listen, loosen up your backsides, and let your hips do the talkin.'
I figured all the fine ladies in Nashville would be standin' in line to practice the Tennessee Waltz with PitDAWG...do you do any finesse dancing?
Actually when I dance it's with my wife. We don't really go into Nashville that much. We go see some concerts and once in a while when there's a new artist we like playing in one of the clubs. Try again....
