I love gospel music. I'm not talking about the message, but I am talking about the power and soul of those who sing it. A lot of my favorite female singers had a background in Gospel music.

Young, black females doing their thing in a church. One of those ladies was Oleta Adams, who has one of the most powerful and clear voices I have ever heard. I'll post a couple of familiar ones, but it goes much, much deeper.

I never have understood why she didn't become wildly popular. She is so far superior to so many that made it big.

Not sure if anyone will listen to those songs, but if you did and liked them.........here is her best one [in my opinion:}

Although, her version of Elton's Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me is pretty impressive, as well.

1A Whitney
1B Aretha

And I have to say, this may seem odd, but my wife dragged me to one of her concerts this year. I am not a country fan, but the sheer power in her voice in my opinion is up there with the above two. I actually encourage some to really listen to her range and power of her voice. Its rather amazing. A futher down 1C - Carrie Underwood.

Patti and Janis get honorable mention.

I've posted some of her songs before and I think I should post a couple more. Sometimes, music is fun. Caro is fun. She can make you dance even if you can't dance.

I can dance. My dogs? Ehhh.......they love when I dance w/them when Caro is playing. Have a listen, loosen up your backsides, and let your hips do the talkin.'

Actually when I dance it's with my wife. We don't really go into Nashville that much. We go see some concerts and once in a while when there's a new artist we like playing in one of the clubs. Try again....

Well I am one proud Dad.

My son and Jade were married Saturday 3/21.

With all the other crap that has been going on both in the world and in mine after moving back to Atlanta.

Damn it feels good to be happy about something.

They have been together for about three years. They are just great together. Really take care of each other.

A good thing for me to see.
