I’d see us looking to draft a KR/PR/Speed guy at WR in the mid rounds
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Yes, but some are getting the sense that teams should steer clear of him.

Wonder if the "right price" is the fair price? This is NOT a proclamation. Instead, it is a sense or a feeling: The analytic guys are going to do what they did last time and create holes while trying to fill others......thereby spinning their wheels and putting an inferior product on the field. I think the Brown's record will be fine for the next year and probably two years due to all the talent Dorsey and company assembled, but I sense the same illogical decisions brewing as the first time they were in charge and we went 1 and 31. That "sense" could be dead wrong. I am not saying it is a fact. It's a sense that was caused by just how awful their personnel decisions were last time. I am NOT talking about acquiring assets. I am talking about personnel decisions.

It seems like I've read a lot of opinions that basically say to stay clear of Conklin due to age and contract...not my opinion as I'm no OL guru...but that's the sense I'm getting. FWIW
Are you possibly confusing Conklin with Castonzo? The reason I ask is that Conklin is only 25 years old (Castonzo is 31 and will be 32 at the start of the season).

I would like to see Higgins back. I hate the fact he fell out of favor with Kitchens. If he was to come back then all I think they need at WR would be a deep threat to replace (JG2) Antonio Calloway. OBJ

And Yannick is tweeting he has NO intention of staying with the Jags. This oughta be interesting.

I read that from another Browns fan site. It wasn't my opinion of the guy - as I have stated that I am not an OL guy - just what I read.

As a person who lives in Tennessee and kind of, sort of roots for the Titans, Conklin is pretty darn good.
He would look better in orange and brown over powder blue and white.
I think he is going to be a primary target. In the end, Nashville is a very unique place for many reason. Lot's a star power in that town. It might be hard to leave.
I say town. It's a big city with a small town feel. It's Nashville. There is a vibe you don't get anywhere else. It's Music City. It may not be your kind of music, but it is when you visit. Heck, you might even buy a $900 pair of boots.
Alcohol probably helped in that decision. But hey, you have some nice cowboy boots. All men need a pair of gator leather boots.

I didn’t watch Tennessee that much, but obviously their run game is an A+ ... If we could get Conklin I’m sure he’d make our OL much, much improved

They are on local tv every week. We get 6 TVs at the bar. 4 are on the Browns with volume. Usually 1 is on the Titans and 1 on the Falcons.
They are the local teams. We have a Bills fan who joins us on a regular basis. If all 4 are playing at the same time, which isn't all that often, we give up one for Ron.

I was going to say we should trade for Nick Foles along with picks to take on his contract. And then I looked at this contract. . . oof If the Jaguars cut Foles they lose $12,567,500 in cap space. If they trade him they only gain $2,557,500. I can't think of another team that botched their situation worse than the Jaguars. They had an elite defense full of young players and now they are over the cap and are having to shed young players (Jalen Ramsey) to have a chance.

I can't quote an excellent source like a guy from another fan site, but I think Conklin is good. His overall PFF grade was 78.
I think he would be an excellent acquisition for this FO. Like it or not, the Browns need OTs. Drafting tackles has become a crap shoot. This guy is a known quantity. Sign him, draft another OT, and hope for the best.
However, like Milk said, there are probably going to be multiple teams interested in him.

Yes, Conklin would be an expensive venture. Very expensive. I'm not sure at what price it becomes prohibitive.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Well, who do we deem more valuable? Schobert + Higgins or just Conklin?

Yes, Conklin would be an expensive venture. Very expensive. I'm not sure at what price it becomes prohibitive. When its your or my money. No matter whose money it is, there is a market value than any business places on its employees. In the NFL there is a salary cap to consider. There has to be a cap placed on your investment into each unit. My comment is simply that this FO will place a certain value on Conklin. At what price Conklin is valued will determine at what point his asking price becomes too expensive. I'm not sure what that price is.

Well, who do we deem more valuable? Schobert + Higgins or just Conklin? I don't believe that really has anything to do with it. If Joe leaves we will need his replacement. If Higgins leaves do we have someone this coaching staff feels will be a good replacement? We may also need a replacement for him. Each unit, secondary, LB'ers, WR's, RB's, etc.... are not intertwined in investments.

Guys I'd keep an eye on because of their history with Joe Woods:
Danny Trevathan (recently released by the Bears) Derek Wolfe Chris Harris Jimmie Ward

Wolfe would look good at DT

Danny Trevathan (recently released by the Bears) Derek Wolfe Chris Harris Jimmie Ward Trevathan used to be pretty damn good. I am not sure he still is. I'm not dogging him....I just didn't pay attention to him as much as when he was w/Denver. Wolfe is a solid guy who can penetrate. He's GM's guy. Chris Harris might not be good fit. I see him going to a team like the Cowboys. Jimmie Ward frequently caught my eye in a positive way when I watched SF games this year. And I watched them a lot. Wonder how much he would cost? He certainly plays a need position.

Btw-----I agree w/you about Nashville. It's one of the most fun cities I have ever visited. Surprised the hell out of me. Hey, we all have our country side. Embrace it. It is a great place to visit. Lot's of fun. I don't care how much one doesn't like country music, you're going to like it that weekend. Pretty girls in tight jeans and cowgirl boots is a pretty wicked look.

J/C If already posted, please delete. Reports Browns are letting Joe S. walk, and the asking price is 10 million a year. Frankly, that is not an absurd amount given what he has provided compered to others making that right now. https://www.cleveland.com/browns/2020/03...mbine-week.htmlGotta to say, if we let him walk over 10 mill...well, that's all I need to know about this FO. There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
