I'm in the NE for work - just spoke to my wife and was surprised to hear there are only 7 noted infections in NC. I said I was surprised because Charlotte has the 7th busiest airport in the nation and has many direct flights to EU .... she explained that Mecklenburg County (where we live - same county as CLT airport) has NO test kits. . . . all the test kits in NC are in Raleigh apparently!!
Whatever the official numbers are - they are a total and complete lie. There are going to be hundreds, maybe thousands of infected people in NC - they just have not been tested.

I was sick last week. I had all the symptoms of the CV (I do not think I had it), and was tested for the flu. That came back negative, but the Dr said "I am not certain what you have, I think its just a upper resp. infection" I asked him, "well could it be CV" He said "I don't believe so, we don't haven't had any cases around here" I then said "well I would feel better if you tested me for it, I have older parents with health issues". His reply was, "wellll, we don't have any test kits in the state yet, so theres no way to test for it". I then asked, "well how do you know then no on has had it here?" He kind of blankly looked at me..."
That was a MedExpress, so I immediately went to my DOCTOR and they confirmed it was resp. infection and gave me an antibiotic and it cleared up in a few days.
Point being, they have 0 idea about the numbers on this thing, and I bet THOUSANDS have died already we don't know about.

Testing does not contain it, actions do. A person can catch the virus the day after they took a test that showed negative.
The Government and CDC have, to date, done everything possible to slow the spread of the virus. This is why it has been slow to overrun us like it did in China, Italy, Iran and others. They are also testing treatments and a vaccine as we speak.
It is also up to we the people to do our part and practice proper hygiene while taking precautions.

I haven't changed my routine, I got on a plane Monday and traveled for work. My wife and I are traveling to Europe in the summer and we're not planning on changing that trip. But we are relatively young and healthy.
