No. You will admit that Biden couldn't bring out the votes needed to beat Trump. Just like Hillary.

I'm not sure what part of what I've been saying that you're missing here. I've never said any Democrat was going to beat Trump in November. I have only talked about which Democrat stands the best chance to beat Trump.

What I will do is say that if Biden doesn't get at least a million more votes than Hillary received in the 2016 election, I will have been wrong about Joe being a more likeable candidate and being more popular than Hillary was.

Oh so the centrists stands the best chance, but you're not sure he can beat him... double talk. I'm sure Bernie would beat him.

A video has gone viral that shows an Illinois TV news station, WCIA 3, airing primary election results a day before the election happened, including results showing President Donald Trump winning the Republican primary and results showing Joe Biden beating Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary. According to the person who recorded the video, the station says this was an accident and was just part of testing graphics. WCIA 3 has not responded to Heavy’s request for comment. Sherry Daugherty shared the video on Facebook after watching Price is Right and seeing the election results show up on the TV screen on Monday, March 16. The Illinois primary isn’t happening until Tuesday, March 17. At first, it wasn’t clear what happened and people took to the Internet to say it was an example of rigging, but the station says it was a test run that accidentally went live. Here’s the video below, which aired on WCIA 3. IT shows 986,341 for Biden at 50% and 893,249 for Sanders at 45%. It also shows President Donald Trump getting 74% (1,071,399) to Roque De La Fuente’s 26% (369,353 votes.)

Daugherty later updated the video post on Facebook and said that WCIA 3 reached out and said it was a graphics test that was never supposed to go live.

Daugherty said that Mark Maxwell of WCIA 3 wrote back and said: “We do routine test rehearsals before every election to make sure the graphics work properly and to give directors some practice. The error was in putting the dry run on air. That shouldn’t have happened and we’re looking into it. Obviously, we never intended to give the wrong information or wrong impression. None of those numbers were based on any real polling returns. Since your post is being widely shared, I’d appreciate it if you would consider updating the original post so people don’t get the wrong idea.”

Daugherty also said that Rich Flesch, the news director, wrote back and said: “WCIA 3 News — Sorry it was an error by our team. We are currently doing election rehearsals with test data and not intended to go on TV. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

Heavy reached out to WCIA 3 for a comment or to confirm the messages and WCIA 3 has not yet responded. We’ll update this story when we have a response. WCIA 3 has not posted anything publicly yet on Facebook about the error.

So far, the Illinois governor has said that primary elections tomorrow will still go on tomorrow. Meanwhile, gatherings of 50 or more in the state have also been banned.

I am not up on the labels and I kinda quit reading after the about 7 posts that were new since the last time I read.

I do have an honest question.

Why is being a "moderate" a bad thing?

I don't know the actual political definition, but I consider myself "moderate" in that I will listen to both sides and then try and find some common ground that we can all agree on and make as many people satisfied as possible.


I would never want to be an extremist on the left or right and stomp my feet and shout others down just to get my own way.

It's "we." Not "me."

So, why do people use the word "moderate" as an insult?

Nothing wrong with being a moderate except they chose Biden over Bernie. And the insult of disparaigning moderates and centrist is in return for the Bernie Bros, extremists, radicals, far left labels mostly between Pit and I on here.

But why did you just disparage progressives who want a guy like Bernie by calling them extremists on the left? We have different BUT equally important values that we want to see represented. But because we see it different, we are extremists... If you don't see it, no explanation will help you understand it.

So today will be interesting to see who turns out to vote with the coronavirus. If the over 45s stay home it could be a whole new election.

Well they are holding elections in 3 states. And older folks are more likely to skip it due to virus, but kids are on spring break... so it kind of evens out. You have to admit the virus will affect the election in some way.

Let's just call it "Bernie's virus advantage". He'll need it.

I believe Biden has more guns than trump in a one on one debate then Bernie who will falter against trump in a debate big time. Biden will get the female and black majority vote and will take states like Michigan and PA that pushed trump over the top.

I'm a regular guy. Regular folks make up a large percentage of the population. I think politicians would be wise to identify w/the majority of voters.

Supporting the USSR was not cool w/Regular folks.

The statement about not having ghettos in his home state did not sit well w/regular folks, either.

Giving things to people who don't want to work while taking those assets away from people who do is not the America most of us love.

I am not saying any of this in a mean way and I certainly respect your right to love Bernie and his ideas. We all have our own thoughts.

I just think that there are far more people who think like me than those who think like you regarding Bernie and his beliefs.

It's okay to have different opinions about things and to express ideas that are not popular with the majority. Neither of those make you better or different. The word you are looking for instead of regular is 'herd'. You go along with the herd, you are a herd guy. Herd folks is what you meant to say. Well guess what, there are millions of people who support Bernie. There are Millions of Atheists. There are Millions who think you are wrong and the way you just used those labels is offensive. I have zero issue with you saying 'the majority' as long as you are sure you are part of the majority. Or you can say 'most' if you think truly most feel or think like you. This is a very Republican thing to say. Do you know how many people that truly just "don't want to work" but are capable actually get anything handed to them? Believe it or not, there are very very very few people who just do not want to work, but this line of thought you subscribe to not only punishes them for that, but it punishes people who can not work, don't make enough even though they work hard, or have other issues out of their control preventing them from working. Think bout that.


You said it all in a demeaning way and you do apparently take issue with people who have different thoughts. Being part of the majority does not make you right, it just means you go along with whatever is popular. Think about all the horrible crap the majority has gone along with and allowed throughout history. People who buck those popular or accepted horrible ideas are responsible for change, better and worse.


You are most likely correct, but you see this as a good thing or a normal thing and I don't for all the reasons I just stated and more. Forget Bernie the man, I'm talking about compassion for others, and that working people deserve a bigger portion of the wealth that their labors create, and that nobody should go without the bare minimum basics to live with dignity or be thought of as lessor for simply having less.

I thought you were older than 20. It sure doesn't sound like it. What revived Bidens campaign was being the only moderate left. The Democratic party has shown you exactly what their voters stand for and all you can do is come up with conspiracy theories and excuses why you're out of sync with actual democrats.

Biden had less money. Bernie had more people in his campaign. A better ground game. None of that made any difference when the message you're sending won't get you elected and people know it.
