I don't think most people have any idea what an N95 mask is, I didn't until this all started happening.

Most people think of those cheap surgeon style masks, which from what I have read are useless at anything other than helping prevent you from touching your face. Which I find when I wear a mask of any sort, I am always reaching up and adjusting it, thereby touching my face more.

The Washington Examiner reports that Trump is making it possible for Medicare patients to visit their doctor by phone, or video conference, and no extra charge. I think this is a good idea.

People keep saying they don't know what to do while quarantined.

I am an introvert that has grown up playing video games, eating Doritos, and chugging Mt. Dew. I have literally been training for this my entire life.

Does anyone know anybody that actually has the virus? Don't need names or any details, just wondering if anybody know someone who actually has it?

A few of my Navy buddies and I were joking that this quarantine is nothing.... we just "shifted colors" and are good with not setting foot outside the hull of my house for the next six months, lol

OCD: No, I don't know any confirmed cases, yet, but I do know a few that have been tested. The one woman I've known since middle school that was in for breathing issues had her test come back negative.

No. I know 2 people that were on the cruise ship that ended up off the coast of California. They are quarantined in Georgia right now.

Italy has over 31,000 cases - up from 27k yesterday, and over 2500 deaths.

Spain is over 11k... right about where Italy was like a week ago.


It was just like a week or 9 days ago that we hit 100k cases worldwide... now, we have 115k outside of China alone. I think we might hit a half million next week.

From what I was reading in Pure Football yesterday eotab is in quarantine awaiting results.

My step mothers daughter, she's a healthcare worker, and began her quarantine last Friday after testing positive.

Italy will likely pass China for most deaths by the end of Thursday.
With the rate at which they are getting new cases, though, and as strained as their system already is, I would not be overly surprised if they surpass China tomorrow.

We will likely cross the 200k cases mark before tomorrow morning.

I don't know anyone who has tested positive. Given the number of people who have the virus and haven't been tested I definitely know someone who has the virus (they just don't know they have it yet).

No. You can have the virus and have not been tested. I think the governor of Ohio said something like 100000 people have the virus in the state but only a few thousand have been tested. I can only imagine what those numbers are in Southern California.

My niece went to Florida to see her sister, and got back last week.

She is supposed to stay isolated as a result, but my sister in law (an RN) insisted on staying over with her when she got back.

Yep. You have to be tested and fitted to use the N95 mask or it will do you no good. There are 3 sizes and they must be applied correctly. They are made for healthcare workers who have to work with patients in isolation. Our hospital requires annual fit testing and demonstration of use for them.

The regular masks you see people wearing on the street aren't airtight like the N95, but they do provide some protection. That doesn't mean you can be careless because you're wearing one.

I think I have been exposed, 1, 2, 3 separate times in the past 3 days to someone with cold symptoms.

I think I have been around someone, who by now has been tested and is in self quarantine, though I didn't hear the test results.

I think the natl. talk show said I would be 5-7 days without symptoms, but contagious during those,
so I suspect I'm probably already contagious and could develop symptoms at any time,

I'm not yet able to avoid contact with dozens in the public and individual sickos, because no matter how much focus is given, some folks just don't stay even "2" feet away while talking.

... ...

And after folks come back from the 14 day isolation...
How many of them are going to stay 6 feet away?
at all times?

The more I think about it the more I dread going back to work.

I'm probably in a "worse case scenario" in regards to being able to avoid contact at 8.5-13 or more feet apart, which is the distance I need before I start to feel comfortable.

The Dallas news is reporting 3 people in critical condition with the virus. One in their 20s, one in their 30s, one in their 60s. None of them had any underlying conditions.

Everyone should take all possible preventative measures, and no one should assume that they are so health that they can't get this, or that it can't be serious.

I'm probably at a 75% shower rate after a BM. It's right there, it's quick and it's a lot cleaner. Heck, if you got poo on your hand or arm, would you wipe it with dry toilet paper and be done? Nah, you'd soap that stuff up.
