Another great thing about music: it’s truly in the eye of the beholder. Art is subjective. No one can ever be proven wrong about who or what is better.

I do like that Sounds of Silence cover, btw.

My wife reminded me of this track today.

Neither had heard it, in our lives, before we all but joined hands with a bunch a strangers and marched around the room. Live band rockin' it - Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues in Cleveland.

Wow. Blowin' me away. Different world from this day forward. Live it to the fullest Dawgs... and smile. wink

Love this U2 video, and the unveiling of the buildings is very symbolic of opening the economy in some sort of way. We all need to love each other and help each other.

Two legendary voices singing a legendary song.

They don't play country music quite like this on the radio anymore.

I've always liked this one in particular. I can listen to it on loop.

I love that song, but if you listen to the lyrics.....it's pretty depressing. And I mean that as no disrespect to the song and/or Tracy. She is one my favorite singers. I just think that songs really captures the essence of being born into poverty and broken relationships. She is trying to express hope, but the outlook is grim. I actually think it is a clever way of voicing the circumstances of many of our impoverished minorities.

I get you, but I think it still represents hope, however unlikely. Fast Car = a chance ... a possible way out, IMO.

Funny. I was watching Judith Durham this afternoon. That girl could sing her butt off. She sang the lead for the Seekers, a 60's folk rock band. The first Aussie band to hit it really big on the charts.

You have all heard this song, but really listen to her voice. Judith had some pipes. I love that woman. She could hit the ceiling like not many can, and it is a feel good song. You can't help but not smile listening to this one.

Man, I haven't heard that song in ..... probably 30 years. Good stuff.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.

Thanks man. Good music is good music, it doesn't matter if it is almost 60 year old at this point. There is a bit where they sing I am Austrailian, Georgy Girl, and Waltzing Matilda.

You can find it. I had tears in my eyes

The last 2 verses are pretty heartbreaking.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Speaking of Bob Marley..........I would like to share this gem. Before I do, I just want to say that Bob Marley is one my all-time favorite artists. I think this song is about learning from our past, grasping the present, and never giving up on our future.

I listen to an oldies radio show on Saturday nights that play it once in awhile.

I don’t know anything about the Seekers, except what I just learned from your post:, that they did that song, which I like a lot.

Nice add, and damn that brunette was attractive.

Someone should write a song about the plight of the Browns to win the division.

That would be uplifting.

"We will Rock you", way back in 1986, I often heard associated with the Browns.
"Thunderstruck" was played during kickoffs, some years ago.
