Thomas was my 4th OT -- so i'm surprised, but not too sad about it. He was my #1 OT so I am bummed. I thought the Giants would go with Wirfs - no insider knowledge, he just feels like a Gettleman type player - purely subjective.

If they were trying to trade up for tackle then why would they take Tua at five? That doesn't make sense. Or they weren't trading up for an OT

with all the talk about Detroit and the Giants wanting to trade down, nada... good job of smokescreens. Bummed Thomas went... Dave Gettleman has literally never traded down.

At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I think they have to take a QB, but we’ll see

Great leftie QBs Steve Young and ...... Jim Zorn?
Zorn was a nice QB, but hardly in the same breath as Young.

He will have a long time to heal up before he plays a down in the NFL. NOt a bad choice for the Phins.

After this pick we should trade up and get Simmons, assuming SD does not take him.

I wanted Thomas or Simmons if neither are there I look for trade down ... If Simmons gets taken before #10 maybe Miami would trade both #1's to get an OLineman to protect Tua.
