So what's the NFL going to do about this?

The whining is embarrassing. Tomlin denied it and Harrison walked it back. Crying about this stuff makes us look weak.

I say the same things to Steeler fans when they cry about Myles hitting Rudolph or the Turkey Jones sack of Bradshaw. Stop crying!

Hard to do anything 10 years later. It's a non-starter.

I suppose I could buy the equivalence between Harrison and Garrett and Jones if it wasn't for the fact that Harrison has been fined or suspended 7 times, 6 of those times were for roughing/illegal hits (total fines were $223K). And that doesn't even count the hit on Cribbs that wasn't even flagged in the same game as the hit on Massaquoi. That's not a momentary lapse of reason - that's a pattern of behavior showing intent to injure. Its only a discussion because it raises the question (at least in my mind) whether the Steelers & Tomlin encourage this kind of play. The envelope story would indicate as much.

Dave, I wasn't comparing them. I was just using those examples because I have family and friends who are Steeler fans and they bring those up, especially the Myles one. I tell them to quit crying. I'm saying the same thing to Brown's fans. Crying about those things does no good and just makes the protestor look weak.

I get that you think it makes us look weak, I just don't agree because I think that minimizes what was a clear pattern by Harrison to injure opposing players and his allegation that it was sanctioned by his coach. Sean Payton and Gregg Williams lost a year off their careers over this kind of thing, and I think the league should investigate it.

IMO, that's the wrong comparison. The correct comparison is Tomlin vs Williams/Payton. One got bent over the table, the other is getting a pass... and both (allegedly) did the same thing.

In a weird way, my beef isn't with Harrison. Dude got fined, suspended, etc. I'm sure some would argue his punishment, but that's a separate debate. Dude got punished. Payton/Williams got punished. Tomlin...

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
