Good God! I hate passing judgement early, but the video on that is horrific.

What irritates me even more is how some act like racism isn't a real thing. You can read the thread about the proposed rule change and the subsequent comments on the Rooney Rule and a bunch of dudes act like racism isn't alive and well. Pfffttttt.............it's alive and the minorities are not well.

Saw the video this morning as well. Cop murdered the guy right out in the open as bystanders were pleading to get his knee of his neck, said he was bleeding out of his nose and asked to check his pulse. The cops were smug about it.

The police approached him initially for possible forgery.

I am white and I am enraged by this. Can you imagine how our black community feels?

I don't cut blank checks for minorities. I get on them when they are wrong, but damn man, this is insane. Too much of this crap going on.

Maybe there is more video, but from what I saw.....that was freaking murder!

May I ask a question. This is not just for Milk. But, the video of the murder hasn't been posted on here. The protests have. A casual observer might conclude that blacks are "rioting" again. Is there a reason why the video of the murder isn't being posted? Is it against board rules?

That's really a question for the refs if it would be allowed to be posted or not, I suppose.

I will say I watched the vid this evening. I could not believe what I was watching.

I know the press is saying the guy died later, at the hospital........and I am not a doctor, nor was I there, but geez, I swear I watched the guy die on camera. If anyone has watched the vid, I bet they'd agree.

I could not believe what I was watching. The guy was cuffed - at least it appeared that way and I have no reason to believe otherwise.

He wasn't fighting, wrestling......he gave. He laid there saying "I can't breathe"....repeatedly. And finally, apparently, he died right there, with the officer still kneeling on his neck.

Damn arch, that was hard to watch. People were even shouting in the background to ease up. Dude was cuffed and on the ground. Pleading for his life. The knee never moved off his neck. His partner was clearly uncomfortable w/what was going on, but he didn't intervene.

You know, I can see the cops roughing a dude up when he resists. Had it happen to me once. I was okay w/it. But that crap I just witnessed............No sir! That was was dead wrong. It was murder!

My guess is he was just officially pronounced dead at the hospital. Looks pretty clear he was dead when the cop finally took his knee off his neck and rolled over his lifeless body.

To defend TTT ... he messaged me asking if it was allowed to post a video of a guy being murdered ... fearing it was against board rules.

I’m not sure on the rules about posting the video ... but it’s horrific. I saw it this morning and got visibly upset, and I’m a pretty collected person. It’s so bad.

It is not just sad..............I am very angry about this. We cannot allow that type of behavior to exist from the "good guys." No man, we have to maintain some sort of civility in order to proceed in a positive direction. Stop crap like that now!!!!

That was really hard to watch. I get it he resisted arrest for over 10 minutes, but sheesh did they have to kill him?

He had his hands cuffed behind his back at the point the guy has his knee on the back of his neck, He could have gotten off him and at least let the guy breathe.

However, this should serve a lesson that the moment you begin to resist the police, right or wrong, your putting your life in jeopardy. Its not worth it to refuse to listen to lawful orders and resist the police. Save your arguments for court. Its not worth dying over.

I agree w/Acho's take that it is going to take white brothers and sisters to become outraged to stop these senseless murders. Well, maybe not stop them......but, at least reduce the number of them.

History has shown that things get done when the majority adopts a stance on an issue. Child labor was okay for quite some time. So was slavery. So was the repression of women. On and on and on.

Change occurs when the majority becomes enraged enough or disgusted enough w/the current state of affairs that they speak up. Politicians are elected. So yeah, I agree w/Acho that white folks like me need to speak up and help our black brothers. Time for sheet like this to stop!!!

Watching the whole situation is horrible. There is no way that 4 officers should not have been able to control a suspect once in that position.

If it was one officer, then it seems to me that the the neck is a legitimate area to establish control .... (such as in Jui Jitsu, which I learned as a kid) but no way that man should have been held in that position, especially with 4 officers on the scene.

You don't seem to understand, being killed by the police isn't racially exclusive, we are all part of the same club....it doesn't matter what race you are, if you resist the police your putting your life in jeopardy regardless of what color you are.

I’m with those who don’t want to see the video. That won’t do much good. Toxic stuff

The cop that come and checked his pulse failed to see he was non responsive. The guy with his knee on his neck was afraid of the crowd and knew he was cutting the man's blood flow off. HE KNEW IT! You could see it in his face. He seemed to be enjoying it.

I don't have the answers as to how we protect police in violent/resistance of apprehended suspects. BUT the police have no excuse for killing people like this. This is poor training, poor judgement, or outright murder. It's time to fix this with laws that punish cops hard for unlawful unnecessary deaths on their watch.

Being fired is not enough. That was murder. You could see him continue to adjust his knee every so often to literally choke the life out of that man.

As for the others, I really didn't notice all three while the victim was being murdered, but the one portly officer was walking close by and kept watching it. His body language showed that he was uncomfortable. What I don't get is how one of those guys didn't walk over after a bit and quietly get the murderer to stop? Most of us have experienced a street fight or a fight on the playground when one dude is clearly beaten and we pull the guy who is winning off the other dude. Enough is enough.

I don't want to hear any fancy talk as this case moves forward. That was clearly "murder."

This murder should be required to be seen by everyone who was appalled by Kap taking a knee.

The only good to come out of this is white Americans are finally seeing, first hand, how our police departments are killing off people in our black communities.
