I don't think I know what 'impeached' means anymore.
Impeachment is like an indictment. A person is impeached in the House. The person impeached then goes to trial in the Senate. It is only after being convicted in the Senate by a 2/3 super-majority that the impeached person is removed from office.
It is very hard to accomplish.
3 Presidents have been impeached: Andrew Jackson, Bill Clinton, and Donald Trump. None have been removed in the Senate trial. (though Jackson came close)

Slavery was not uncommon in the world when it started here. And both blacks and whites traded in slaves. But slavery was a horrible institution that should have been ended way sooner than it was.

I know what it's supposed to mean. I just don't think I understand what it actually means now. My post was more me throwing my hands up in the air than anything.
