I will just say it this way...
It is more difficult to be given differing facts and then sort it through them to form an opinion...
News today is providing an opinion based on cherry picked facts and suggesting that you come to their conclusion.
Lazy....we are losing our minds, and our abilities to sort the wheat from the chaf.

That would be a fair point if it wasn’t for the fact that we still have systems in place that enforces those standards.
Don’t declare all men are created equal if all men aren’t created equal.
That excuse of “that’s how it was back then” ended in 1776 with that declaration.
I’m not even one that cares about Washington’s statue. But that’s the thing: I don’t care from either point of view.
Yes, he’s a founding father and our greatest general. So I don’t care about His statue being up.
Yes, he’s a slave owner, so I don’t care that people want to remove it.
Because it’s a statue. People acting like we learn our history from statues. It’s a joke. It’s like saying because the Germans ripped down statues of hitler, nobody will ever learn about holocaust.

None of my people owned slaves that I am aware of. My people were mostly poor dirt farmers in west Ohio and middle Alabama. The Alabama kin may have rented some, but to me that is just hiring help. We didn't hold slaves. I know my grandparents were very much in favor for black rights. My Mama was from Alabama. When I was maybe 6, I used the N word in front of her, nothing intended, just a kid repeating other words. She slapped me upside the face twice. Hard. Let's say, the teacher taught her lesson, and lesson learned. We can look each other in the eyes, and we agree. We are brothers. We may have slightly different views but it isn't that far off.

I simply call things like I see them. If you can't convey your thoughts in complete and rational sentences then to me that means you're either uneducated, dumb, or don't take the topic serious enough to discuss it. It's a symptom of overall responses on the board, at least for the Politics section.

Interesting photo of Tucker the trout fly fisherman.
I have been a avid fly fisherman for over forty years.
I see a man with fly rod. I don't see boots, waders, vest, fly boxes or a fly of any kind anywhere in the photo. Most fly fisherman who take photos or have others take photos of them. Usually they are holding a trout.
Maybe he just wanted of photo of himself holding a fly rod.
One other thing the water. Doesn't look like very productive trout water.
Maybe he is. Maybe he is not. I am just saying.

That photo of Tucker Carlson was taken by Joey Boots (Joey Boots from the Howard Stern show Wack Pack) and he had no idea it was Tucker Carlson.
Tucker was fly fishing in one of the ponds in Central Park.
You can google the video "Tucker Carlson fly fishing" and watch the interaction. Tucker was quite friendly and personable in this situation.
On a side note, Joey Boots died of a heroin overdose. Baba Booey!
