Swish, to answer to a few of your statements.

Yes, my wife is a highly qualified virologist. She actually geeks out on it the same way computer and tech guys geek out.

I don't think I've ever watched more than a couple episodes of tucker carlson, and that was years ago.

I said I wouldn't be surprised if dems refused to wear masks if Trump said to wear them. More of a comment on the political state of things right now. To relay a joke I heard, if Trump walked across the water of the Potomic, dems would say, "Trump can't swim".

Small pox would kill 30% and leave survivors scarred. Polio killed up to 18%, and would leave people paralyzed. People were more willing to take a risk, and trusted their government more back then. Seeing as polio was basically a death sentence if you became paralyzed (no ADA), those were vaccines people were willing to risk their lives on.

As for trust in the government, I voted for Trump because I trusted him to get rid of a ton of regulations, lower taxes, improve the job market, and make the borders more secure. I also voted for him because he's not a longtime government employee. I'll vote for him again.

My problem with government is the embedded people that never leave. These are the people who are unaccountable for their actions, and care more about their power than us. When you also figure in some of the dirty stuff our government has done since WWII, we should all be weary of them.

Trump does not control the day by day of government work. He oversees the highest levels. Come on, do you really think Trump is personally overseeing how the CDC counts virus infections? So no one gets the wrong idea, I'd say every president since George Washington has not had control over the day to day.

The CDC has lost their way. They are supposed to be tracking disease around the world, but they cow tow to political pressure. This skews the facts of their numbers, and kills any chance of unbiased science. Biased science is nothing more than a belief.

I read an article or heard a report yesterday predicting that the exponential growth path we are currently on will result in every American knowing at least 1 person that has had or has covid by the middle of August.

This whole post read like this:

The buck clearly doesn’t stop with Trump. Trump isn’t in charge of anything, takes no responsibility for anything, and you refuse to hold him responsible for anything.

Trump literally could shoot someone on fifth avenue, and you would still vote for him. That’s.....sigh.

No, I hold him accountable for the low unemployment we had before the virus. I hold him accountable for the tax break I got. I hold him accountable for the wall he's building. I hold him accountable for the new trade deals. I hold him accountable for getting our "friends" to pay more in nato (friends that keep sticking you with the bill aren't really your friends). I'd say he's kept more promises than the last 5 presidents. I can't help that he's a brash, rude, obnoxious new yorker. I rather enjoy that part.

So you give him credit for stuff that you think is a good deal ( a lot of which is not great) but don't fault him for any of the problems. Do you see how biased that is?

Trump isn't building a wall, and Mexico definitely isn't paying for it.
I got a good tax break too, but at a huge cost to the deficit.
The trade deals have been so-so at best.
The unemployment rate had been in steep decline for years with Obama. Trump has some to do with it, but it wasn't solely, or even a majority, of his doing.

He's a "brash, rude, Obnoxious new yorker" who also can't tell the truth about anything. He lies like it's his job, and no one holds him accountable. People have read direct quotes back to him and he claims it's "fake news." He tried to edit a hurricane projection, with a Sharpie no less, because it went against what he said.

I keep seeing news about the wall being built. 97 miles, I believe. Not bad, considering all the road blocks.

The deficit has been screwed up since the beginning of the country. Eventually, it will destroy us. Biden will add trillions and trillions (think Carl Sagan) and trillions. The trade deals have been far superior to what we had before, and manufacturing gas been coming back. Unemployment might have been in decline, but it bottomed out when Trump starred making changes. I mean, lowest in history for blacks and latinos, and he's still called a racist.

I guess it will all eventually come down to the old question. Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?

That answer is unequivocally no.

And you’re still pushing that fake narrative about black and Latino unemployment? Somebody clearly doesn’t know how to read a chart.

Dementia Joe?
Have you heard donny speak? He sounds like a rambling drunk uncle at Christmas just before he pees himself and passes out on the couch. The guy can’t form a coherent thought to save his life.

This is only one of his drooling mess of a run on sentences that’s oozed from his mouth hole in the past few years. And it’s only gotten worse...

It's a good thing the Colonial Army stormed the airports or we never would have won the Revolutionary War. wink

Roger Stone calls Black radio host a racial slur

Dennis Romero 6 hrs ago

Roger Stone, friend and former campaign adviser to President Donald Trump, called a Black radio host a racial slur on air Saturday while the two debated Stone's federal conviction.

Stone's sentence was commuted by Trump on July 10, just days before he was scheduled to surrender for 40 months of incarceration after he was convicted of witness tampering and making false statements to Congress as it investigated Russia's influence in the 2016 election.

On Saturday night, Stone was grilled by radio host Morris W. O’Kelly on "the Mr. Mo'Kelly Show" on KFI AM 640 in Los Angeles. The phone interview was broadcast and streamed.

Stone claimed his conviction last year was the result of bias against himself and the president.

"It was a jury of my political opponents," Stone said.

O'Kelly pushed back and challenged the idea that Stone did not get a fair trial or that the evidence did not clearly show his transgressions.

The host also suggested that not only was Stone not a victim of biased justice, but that he likely benefitted from knowing the president.

"There are thousands of people treated unfairly daily," O'Kelly said. "Hell, your number just happened to come up in the lottery. I'm guessing it was more than just luck, Roger, right?"

Stone was silent, then it sounded like he was either away from the phone or covering it up when he said, "I don't really feel like arguing with this negro."

"I'm sorry, what was that?" O'Kelly responded. "Roger? I'm sorry, what did you say?"

Stone denied calling him that, saying on air, "I did not. You're out of your mind. You're out of your mind."

Stone could not be reached for comment Saturday night.

O'Kelly carried on with the interview, asking Stone about his plans to campaign for Trump.

"As a private citizen, I will be active on the president's behalf, writing, speaking, advocating," Stone, 67, said.

O'Kelly later tweeted, "I'm nobody's NEGRO."

Freaking pathetic.

Not surprised somebody associated with trump talks like that, though. Birds of a feather...

On the flip side, tucker Carlson has a new writer he can work with.
