Yes. I wasn’t paying close attention to the day it happened, which I now now was late Sunday with an arrest Monday. I don’t watch Fox but I follow Bret Baier on Twitter and he mentioned it Wednesday. I have a very hard time believing Tucker didn’t mention it sooner than that so I looked it up on YouTube and it appears he had it Wednesday as well.

I gave you a one word answer on your other question. That is because I really didn’t take issue with what you said. I will say that this isn’t comparable to Floyd. However, I do believe most media outlets don’t cover perceived racial issues the same. They are generally quick to point out when a person of color is killed by someone white person as racially motivated but not the other way around.

One last thing... I haven’t read anything that makes me believe this boy dying was racially motivated.

i agree that black murder victims get highlighted more than white murder victims, but the context has to be stated here.

look how quickly the shooter was found and arrested. now look at how long it typically takes a murder suspect who is white and/or a cop to get arrested.

its always seem to be cut and dry when its a black shooter, but when its a white shooter, we gotta wait for the facts first.

i mean isn't it obvious? there tends to be outrage from blacks and the media because LOOK HOW LONG IT TAKES for anything to happen, which is why social movements happen in the first place; a lack of a response from law enforcement.

but a black murder suspect? cops are ON IT. WE GOTTA GET THEM OFF THE STREETS PRONTO.

when it comes to black and latino crimes, the hammer of justice swings true.

but white crimes? well, the law now becomes more of a suggestion.

the vast majority of ANY demographic will agree that the low life who killed this kid doesn't deserve to breathe any longer.

but it HAS to be stated that its odd that white people only care about white lives as a RESPONSE to a black social movement.

it HAS to be stated that far too often, black americans seem to care more about white lives than white people do.

All good points. I will say that I believe that whites don’t seem to care about police brutality nearly as much as blacks, even when it is happening to whites. I think that is because whites are more trusting of police. We don’t have as many reasons to not trust cops.

This is the correct answer. Personally I think the guy who did this should have a bullet put through his head, day one after trial. Save tax payers the money, that's what I'd do.

Unfortunately, the violent crime in this country has been out of control for a long time, so events like this just get ignored because they happen every day.

I think there are roughly 15,000 homicides every year in the U.S.
That is over 40 per day.

It is so common, that is boring news.

The rare but sensational news gets more attention. Always been that way.

Imagine if we took just a portion of the energy spent fighting about relatively minor problems that consume 90% of our attention and were able to bring down that violent crime rate by just 10%. We would save 1500 lives and prevent 120,000 violent crimes.

CNN didn't put anything about it on its website until days after he was killed and it was about the funeral.. similar with MSNBC. They avoided it as long as they could.

Look, there is a lot of what is wrong with the world wrapped up in this story...

I get that CNN and other national news outlets don't cover every local homicide.. I get it. But it's not that often that a kid is executed at point blank range while sitting on his bike in the middle of the day... by a neighbor who was allegedly pretty friendly with the family..

Many on the right called for simple acknowledgement of it.. because the shooter was black? Probably.

Some on the right called for "justice".. they caught the guy quickly. There was no reason to believe the authorities weren't doing all they could do to find the shooter and bring him to justice..

Some on the right did the old "Why no protests or riots?"... well if you want to protest, go for it brother. Nobody is stopping you from organizing a protest.. not sure what you would protest against but have at it.

The thing, the only thing, that I think is a little off about this is that it took 4 or 5 days for most of the national media to acknowledge it.. in a world where everything is political/racial.. a black man executes a while boy on the sidewalk for no reason? ... seems like the circumstances might dictate that you run a little story on it..

Other than that, it's just another in a long line of American tragedies that play out every day.

Congratulations, 4 black kids executed another apparently uninvolved white teenage girl from close range in a fast food parking lot. That's two white kids executed in a week just in North Carolina.. let me know when this rises to the level of something we can talk about.



Police have arrested four teens connected to the murder of Veronica Baker, a 17-year-old found dead at a Bojangles parking lot over the weekend.

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — Police have arrested four teens connected to the killing of 17-year-old outside a Bojangles in Raleigh.

Tuesday evening, law enforcement caught Keyshara Michelle Deans, 19, Nezyiha Zamir Collins, 19, and Tyreek Qumay Rogers, 18, and charged them with accessory after the fact to murder in the case of Veronica Baker, WNCN reports. Warrants for the arrest of Collins and Rogers said the pair fled North Carolina with 17-year-old Devin Cordell Jones in an attempt to evade capture.

On Wednesday morning, Jones was taken into custody as well and charged with the murder of Baker. Police had been attempting to acquire a secure custody order and juvenile petition for Jones, according to WNCN.

Baker, 17, was found dead Saturday night in a car parked at a Bojangles on the 3900 block of Jones Sausage Rd. in Raleigh. Witnesses said the car was found running with the lights on, doors open and keys still inside.

The three teens charged as adults were taken to the Wake County Detention Center. Collins and Rogers are being held on $500,000 bonds each, while Deans is being held on $1,015,000 bond for multiple charges which appear to be unrelated to Baker's murder, WNCN reports.

You are certainly correct that these murders are a tragedy. All murders are. But there is a stark contrast in having someone who commits such a crime being quickly caught and convicted to having an actual component of the justice system itself being the one committing the murders and having laws in pace within that very justice system to help shield and protect them.
