Nope, no one has handed me a ballot and pencil. If the election was strictly a national issue, I likely wouldn't have said anything. However, it has huge international ramifications therefore, within certain limits, it is fair game. Being mostly a centrist, it matters not to me (normally) whether the Dems or GOP win with the obvious notable exception. Meanwhile several blocks away black people are dying at alarming rates at the hands of other black people. But not just adults...it's babies, toddlers, young kids. As a parent, I don't care what color the child is I get a pit in my stomach any time I read about a child dying.
Where is the same passion from the BLM leaders toward helping fix that problem? And how is a non-black who supports equality supposed to reconcile those two things?

I have tried to bring that question up many times. It is always met w/personal insults and deflection. They say things like "we talked about that before." Yet, they bring up police brutality and white racism daily.
The BLM organization is a radical group that is only interested in making unreasonable demands that help their own people at the expense of hard-working Americans of all races.
Many vocal blacks refuse to talk about black on black crime. Instead, the blame whites and the police for all their problems.
With that said..........let's not act like them and be biased. There are so many blacks who have educated themselves, work hard, and are good citizens. They don't support this BS that guys like Swish, Rocket, and Perfect support. They just want to be treated fairly. We owe them that and let's not allow the lower hanging fruit of that group to cloud our evaluation of the race as a whole.
I think it comes down to this. Treat each individual as a individual no matter their race, gender, etc. Treat them fairly and w/respect if they act properly and call them out when they don't. It's pretty simple.
