"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Offensive linemen (9): Joel Bitonio, Evan Brown, Jack Conklin, Nick Harris, Chris Hubbard, Kendall Lamm, Wyatt Teller, JC Tretter, Jedrick Wills Jr.
Defensive linemen (8): Eli Ankou, Adrian Clayborn, Jordan Elliott, Myles Garrett, Porter Gustin, Larry Ogunjobi, Sheldon Richardson, Olivier Vernon

Defensive backs (10): Ronnie Harrison, Kevin Johnson, Karl Joseph, Terrance Mitchell, Sheldrick Redwine, Andrew Sendejo, M.J. Stewart Jr., Tavierre Thomas, Denzel Ward, Greedy Williams
Gotta think we’re trying to trade Njoku and trying to sign those CBs to the PS

Maybe Berry will go after one of the two Eagles CB's that were cut or maybe we will bring back Olumba once the 2 roster spots are open from Wilson and KJ. Kind of happy we kept 5 TEs.
People ask me what I do in spring when there's no football. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for fall

Hopefully we can get some of the young DBs to the practice squad.
I like Johnson over Hilliard. I think he is a more rounded back.
Gustin over Thomas isn’t a surprise if you were watching camp. He passed him on the depth chart fairly early on.
Stewart making it at corner is a bit of a surprise to me. He didn’t have much practice time with the club. He was a second round pick so maybe that had something to do with it?
Two great picks and one question mark. It’s still not what you want. Austin Corbett, Antonio Callaway, Genard Avery, Damion Ratley, and Simeon Thomas were the others drafted.
Not a homerun draft, unless Baker becomes the QB we all hope.
Of course Chubb is phenomenal and Ward above average (when healthy).
I kind of do wish we could have held on to Avery

I expect Mack Wilson and Kevin Johnson to go on IR today. It's esssentially a three week disabled list and with games 1 & 2 being within 5 days, it's really a two week layoff in my mind.
So...two guys will make the 53 man roster today. Given the process of how they are making the 53, they will immediately be the dreaded "bottom of the roster" guys. PresidentDawg listed the cuts across the league and the pickings are slim if you were looking for a name guy. With no pre-season games to see tape of some guys, I would think that the best candidates for those two 53 man spots - and the PS for that matter - will come from our most-recent 80 man roster.
This effort is where we will see some light on scouting efforts and focus when we sign some guys NOT from the 80 man and/or guys we've really not heard of since early in the draft-guessing season...if at all. Four year starters...team captains...athletic marvels...old-school overachievers...vets (think OL) who need more time to develop...etc.
I would think that at least one DB (maybe even two) will fill the opening...I'll guess Olumba or AJ Green. I'll guess one LB as well...I can't get Willie Harvey's pre-season 2019 out of my mind...so he's my guess there.
The practice squad will be even more-odd for 2020. 16 guys is a lot. I'll throw out some guesses here:
QB - Gilbert gets another job (1);
RB - I think LeMay or Hilliard (2);
FB - Stanton (1);
TE - Absolutely no one...unless Njoku gets traded. (1) HA!
WR - Ratley gets another shot and some guy we've never heard of (2);
OL - I think OL and DL is where it gets weird with the (6) veterans who can be on the PS...those spots and veteran guys who were dinged up when cut yesterday. The tall OT is a candidate (Alex Taylor?)...along with the kid they signed UDFA from Oregon. Gotta have at least one interior OL and we had about 13 C's on the 80 man (2);
DL - Ekuala keeps hanging around and C Thomas are possible here. I know C Thomas has been a giant disappointment...but that kind of size and athleticism can't be taught. I've read where he looked good early-on in camp this year and then got dinged. 16 spots is a lot and guys like him will populate PS's all over the league (1);
LB - My man Harvey is a no-brainer if he's not on the 53 for Mack. We will get some obscure guy here as well (1);
DBs - AJ Green or Olumba if not on the 53...Lewis JR - our 20019 7th Rdr...all good candidates. Again guys we have actually seen and without Pre-season games (4).
K - COVID-19 spot (1)
I don't usually get into predictions (aka guesses) too much...but these are fun because we get the "answer" in about 2.5 hours.

Good thing Dorsey had an extra 1st and 2nd from the past regime's trades or that draft might only have Baker remaining!
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.
Browns 2020 practice squad, waiver wire tracker Who will the Browns add to bolster the roster? What will the practice squad look like? We’ll have all the info here throughout the day.
The Cleveland Browns made 24 roster cuts on Saturday to get down to the league-mandated maximum of 53 players.
Of course, there is no such thing as a final roster when it comes to the NFL as teams are continually churning over the bottom half of the roster. That exercise continues today as teams across the league begin to add players off of waivers and sign recently released players to their practice squads.
The deadline to claim a player off of waivers is at 12 noon EST, and teams may begin signing players to the practice squad at 1 p.m. EST.
The order to claim players off of waivers is the same as the most-recent draft order, meaning that the Browns are at No. 10 on the priority list.
As for the practice squad, the league and the NFLPA agreed to increase the number of players to 16, which can include up to six veteran players.
Players who are eligible to be added to a team’s practice squad, according to The Sporting News, are:
Players who do not have an accrued season of NFL experience (rookies)
Players who were on the active list for fewer than nine regular-season games during their only accrued season(s)
Up to four players per team who have earned no more than two accrued seasons (no game limitations)
Up to two (six in 2020) players per team with no limitations as to their number of earned accrued seasons
Teams are also permitted to protect up to four practice squad players each week, and are allowed to promote one or two practice squad players to the game day roster each week. If a player is promoted, they return to the practice squad after the game.
We will be tracking the updates and reports of who the Browns are adding to the practice squad and claiming on waivers throughout the day in this post. Be sure to add your thoughts in the comments section as we go through the day.
