If the truth is so insulting, then the answer is not bashing the truth teller but fixing what you don't like pointed out. But keep playing the poor victim card, maybe eventually somebody will believe and pity you. You are so sad, that I don't even like to pick on you anymore. It's just pathetic and feels like I'm kicking an old flea infested dog, instead of feeling sorry for it. Nothing you can say bothers me or will change my resolve to pound the right for their Trump supporting BS. Sad.

Trump made fun of Biden wearing a mask. People made fun of Biden for "staying in his basement" during clearly a time when hunkering down was the right thing to do.
Trump had gatherings of thousands of his own supporters with zero social distancing and not requiring anyone to wear a mask.
All the while Trump knew Biden was doing the right thing and he was doing the wrong thing. And his minions marched along with him.
How many deaths did Trump's words cost Americans? I doubt we'll ever know. But it did cause them and it caused a lot of them.
Now go back to blaming a reporter for the actions of the president or whatever other lame excuses you have.
Oh, and BTW, those thinking that the stock market tells the story of the economy, the richest 10% of America owns 84% of all stocks. Sadly that isn't really helping people making poverty wages and trying to figure out how to pay their rent. Let's not get confused here.

First off trump has access to more information than the media and general public. He is and can be given information upon request that would never be available to others.
He was informed at the time of the Woodward interview. He knew about how it spread and how dangerous it was. His own words.
He also took credit for closing China to US access. The fact is he was informed by intel and Homeland Security to do so. He then said everybody was against that.
He then told the public that this was no worse than the flu and would go away. He promoted bogus cures not based upon scientific efficacy.
Trust? He knows that Fauci and others on the task force are right. However, he did not want that information given to the public for political purposes. Number one being that it would effect the economy and that would reflect poorly on him an his reelection.
Masks. The media and the leader of the Senate nearly every day expressed the importance of wearing masks and maintenance of social distance. He did otherwise.
Testing. A crucial part of identifying key data and contact tracing. He downplayed it. Why? Answer. It shows mortality rates and other data that again reflected upon his poor performance. No. It was not under control.
Opening the economy. He encouraged states to open when their infection rates were climbing and out of control. He praised those republican states that did. And criticized any who did not.
Every move made with information in hand was done solely to further his reelection. Nothing replaced that priority.
He held campaign rally's indoors in places that were experiencing rising infection rates. He allowed seat tags to be removed to show full attendance. Never mandating masks. When he had knowledge of the dangers.
He lied about children infection rates and promoted schools to open without following CDC guidelines for safety.
What has he done lately? More of the same. Nothing.
I in no way disagree with any of the things you wrote. There are a few things you mentioned that I am not knowledgeable on, but of the things I am knowledgeable on I would say that what you are writing is correct. I do not trust Trump's opinions when it comes to science or health matters. I think that he is incredibly ignorant in these areas. I don't think anyone else should trust his judgement when it comes to science or health. I think you and a number of others are misreading my post the wrong way. It is not pro-Trump, but people are reacting to it as if it is. Just because Trump has said many things that are stupid or incorrect, does not mean that media should be looking for tiny sentence fragments that they can use without context to construct a narrative that Trump was being intentionally dishonest with the American people. I replied to the topic and not anyone individually because I am specifically writing about the comparison made by John Karl in the press briefing in which he contrasted two small quotes with no context. One quote from the book and one from a press conference. Both quotes came on or around February 7. To take five word "It is like the flu" and prescribe specific meaning to it without any context is just designed to stir the pot. Coronavirus is "like the flu" in many ways. It is different in some other ways. Context matters. I cannot imagine that Trump was implying that it was identical to the flu in terms of its infectiousness or deadliness. If that was the specific context, then the media should have called him out on it in February because it was evident from many sources of information that we had no way of being able to accurately assess the risk from the virus at that point in time. Even the highly inaccurate model from The Imperial College of London did not come out until mid-March.

Calling the truth insulting and bashing vocal criticism of Trump sure is a great dodge - it means you can keep avoiding and keep from addressing what the topic is: The leader of the free world lying about the seriousness of a deadly pandemic - with the result that misinformation ensued and people didn't take the virus or the counter measures seriously.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

I don't think anyone else should trust his judgement when it comes to science or health. But they do. And as it pertains to the president of the Unites states, in a time of crisis, you're supposed to be able to. He has experts he's supposed to listen to. He told Woodward he knew the dangers of the virus. That he knew it was airborne. That he knew it was five times more dangerous than the flu. Those are not "tiny sentence fragments". They were not taken out of context. Not the tapes from Woodward. They are in their entirety. When a man knows the truth and stated such, when he tells you the opposite, that's not because he's "stupid or incorrect". Those are blatant lies. Many of his comments which were total lies came well after his comments to Woodward. While I didn't quote the rest of your post, knowing it's FIVE TIMES WORSE than the flu and then telling people it's just like the flu, or even like the flu is a flat out lie no matter how you parse it. When you have to reach that hard to try and excuse the words from a man, that in and of itself speaks volumes.

It also applies to the many other Trump scandals, so many we've all lost count. Any one of them would have taken most Presidents down and Trump has too many to count these days... Yet he will still have 40% support him and celebrate him or deny they support him while secretly voting for him because they know it's just wrong.

And even if he was not trying to panic-then why almost 7 months later are there still in some areas issues with testing. Then why was the defense production act not instituted for the production for PPE. Our business for months had women in the office sewing facemasks for workers out in the field. And we are still having trouble finding certain other items like wipes.
Oh, that is easy to answer. To generalize your question: Why are we so slow in our response to an infectious disease? We were not prepared in advance. Countries like S. Korea were prepared. They had drive through style testing implemented within a month of their first case. They were able to do that because there government has a bureaucracy that is responsible for being prepared for pandemics and the outbreaks of infectious disease and that bureaucracy had a strategy ready to address the outbreak years in advance. We also have a similar bureaucracy called the CDC with an $8B a year budget of which at least 75% is allocated against pandemics or infectious disease in some way. They have been mismanaged for 50 years, so when the time came for them to react to an outbreak, they were not prepared. I also think there is an element of experience. We have been lucky in that SARS and H1N1 did not spread very much in the U.S., unfortunately, this also means that we had no experience in managing a pandemic and nobody in government knew quite what to do and we lacked the institutions and strategies for stopping the spread quickly. The defense production act was utilized to address PPE shortages. A lot of defense funds were steered toward COVID in general. Parting thought, Authoritarian governments have much better tools at their disposal for this type of thing. They have greater ability to restrict peoples freedoms and force them into quarantine and they can do more in the way of tracking people via cell phones in order to prevent the spread. Both of these tactics were used in Korea and China to rapidly get things under control.

Both of these tactics were used in Korea and China to rapidly get things under control. Or Americans could do the patriotic thing and take reasonable measure to help protect their fellow Americans. But of course painting that in a different light somehow sounds convincing to those who make excuses why some of them should not.

Here is the hilarious part of Trump saying he didn't want to cause panic by telling America the truth about a pandemic.
He's the same guy who told us that caravans of criminals were headed to the border so they could rape and murder your wife.
He's the same guy who is saying if Biden wins that under Biden “you will have crime like you’ve never seen before,” and that “no city, town or suburb will be safe,” telling his supporters their “vote will save America.”
Sounds like a liar to me.

HOW OUTRAGEOUS ! It's Woodward's Fault. Or Obama's. Or Hilary. Or Fauci. Or the WHO. Or ... anyone but the person in charge that said all those things.
And furthermore - it's vile that you can even post these things, regardless of their truth and regardless if we have Trump's on words .. on tape.

because it was a hoax, remember? Let's also remember that he had an entire PANDEMIC RESPONSE TEAM in place on Day One of his presidency. His aides smirked, made jokes and generally took no heed of the warnings they were given during the tabletop exercises during transition. Then he disbanded the team, leaving us with zero expertise in the White House.

https://thehill.com/opinion/judiciary/49...ndemic-response Opinion piece by a different Law professor. I'm ready for Trump to be gone. But I'm not sure trying to go for Murder would set a good precedent, even if it did work, which I'm guessing is unlikely. I'm pretty sure I don't want to think about the money that would be wasted on his defense, or really trying to prosecute him for that matter.

it would also open pandora's box, because at that point, there's a crap ton of presidents down the line that you can make an argument to get charged with murder, both dem and republican.
i'd say the strongest case based on that logic would be Bush with the iraq war.

trumps actions on the virus are based on getting reelected. Not the health and safety and lives of american people. trumps actions have killed US citizens. And he will be re-elected by a landslide. Some are so distracted by what the media tell them they forget to get out of their own bubble. When I say bubble I mean where you live, people you associate with, family. These people need to open their eyes. I've encountered some of them and they're normally unhinged and anti-American as they get shocked to find out someone has a different opinion or choice than they do! OH MY! THE HYPOCRISY!!!!! Then I explain the economic, foreign policy reasons behind my decisions based on Libertarianism and they don't have anything to say. I then ask why are you voting for Biden? Which of his specific policies or past decisions of his do you support? How do they respond to this? They're left dumbfounded.
Find what you love and let it kill you.

Supporting a president who lied to the American people that caused an untold amount of our citizens deaths isn't "American" at all.
Sadly the bar is low. Voting for Biden would at least give us a president who is a decent human being that understands the word compassion. At this point, even that would be an improvement.
I support expanding healthcare. You on the other hand support a man who is actively pursuing ending healthcare for 20 million Americans in the middle of a pandemic.
I support keeping foreign governments out of our elections. You support a man who said, if Russia had dirt on his opponent he would listen. And let's not forget, "China if you're listening."
I'm for restoring integrity to the White house. You're for the continuation of chaos and division. We can work our way up from there.

I'll give you at least he's not Trump. I don't know if I'd go so far as to say Biden's a decent human being. Restoring integrity also might be a stretch.

trump doesn't need to be charged with a crime for this. he just needs to be gone. As commander-in-chief his is guilty of Dereliction of Duty: Dereliction of duty is a specific offense under United States Code Title 10, Section 892, Article 92 and applies to all branches of the US military. A service member who is derelict has willfully refused to perform his duties (or follow a given order) or has incapacitated himself in such a way that he cannot perform his duties. Such incapacitation includes the person falling asleep while on duty requiring wakefulness, his getting drunk or otherwise intoxicated and consequently being unable to perform his duties, shooting himself and thus being unable to perform any duty, or his vacating his post contrary to regulations. In the U.S. Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), dereliction of duty is addressed within the regulations governing the failure to obey an order or regulation.[1] § 892. Art. 92. Failure to obey order or regulation Any person subject to this chapter who— ... (3) is derelict in the performance of his duties; shall be punished as a court-martial may direct. Punishment can include sanctions up to and including the death penalty (in times of war). Outside of wartime, the maximum punishment allowed is a Dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for 1 year (10 years for service members receiving special pay under 37 USC 310[2]).[3] source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dereliction_of_dutyAs POTUS he has a duty to protect the US and it's citizens. That is the number one job of any President. He simply did not do this during covid and the proof comes from his own mouth. Why should he be held to a lower standard than any soldier, or a civil servant that has failed their duties.

The President is considered a civilian for legal purposes and, thus, is not subject to the UCMJ. link The Commander-in-Chief a Civilian Officer.—Is the Commander-in-Chiefship a military or a civilian office in the contemplation of the Constitution? Unquestionably the latter. An opinion by a New York surrogate deals adequately, though not authoritatively, with the subject: “The President receives his compensation for his services, rendered as Chief Executive of the Nation, not for the individual parts of his duties. No part of his compensation is paid from sums appropriated for the military or naval forces; and it is equally clear under the Constitution that the President’s duties as Commander in Chief represent only a part of duties ex officio as Chief Executive [Article II, sections 2 and 3 of the Constitution] and that the latter’s office is a civil office. [Article II, section 1 of the Constitution . . . . ] The President does not enlist in, and he is not inducted or drafted into, the armed forces. Nor, is he subject to court-martial or other military discipline.

So is it alright by you that information that could save lives is not provided to the public by the leader of the country? When he has the information that he knows could help families protect each other?
Then he tells the public he didn't want them to panic?
Do you think trump would want to know if a hurricane was coming to Mar-Largo?
How do you think he would feel if that information was withheld and then told by the National Weather Service:
"We didn't want to tell you because we didn't want you to panic?

Then he purposes changes the reports to benefit himhttps://www.yahoo.com/gma/trump-officials-interfered-cdc-reports-232114037.htmlPolitically appointed members of the Department of Health and Human Services' communications teams were allowed to review, change and delay reports authored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, according to a bombshell report published by Politico late Friday. The Politico report said that the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Reports, a public report compiled by scientists that's served as the key communication avenue between the CDC and health care providers, researchers, journalists and the public since the 1980s, has been tinkered with when CDC findings didn't align with President Donald Trump's public statements about coronavirus. ABC News has not independently confirmed the Politico report. "[The assistant secretary for public affairs] clears virtually all public-facing documents for all of its divisions, including CDC," Michael Caputo, a spokesperson for the Department of Health and Human Services, confirmed to ABC News. "Our intention is to make sure that evidence, science-based data drives policy through this pandemic -- not ulterior deep state motives in the bowels of CDC," Caputo, a former Trump campaign official with no scientific or medical background, said in a statement. According to Politico, in one instance, Caputo and his team pushed to retroactively adjust CDC reports that they said inflated the risk of COVID-19. The critique, in the communication team's opinion, was that the CDC reports did not explicitly point out that Americans with COVID-19 could have become infected because of their own behavior, according to the Politico story. In another instance, Caputo's team tried to slow down a CDC report on hydroxychloroquine, the controversial malaria drug that Trump frequently referenced as a potential COVID-19 treatment during press briefings. A report about hydroxychloroquine that said "the potential benefits of these drugs do not outweigh their risks" was withheld for roughly a month while the team investigated the CDC author's political leanings, according to Politico. Several CDC staff members told ABC News they were infuriated to learn Caputo's team made attempts to revise the weekly reports in ways inconsistent with science, something they would have previously thought not possible.Democratic nominee Joe Biden weighed in on the Politico report via his campaign manager. "When Donald Trump told Bob Woodward that he wanted to downplay the virus, this is the exact kind of repugnant betrayal that he meant," Kate Bedingfield, Biden's deputy campaign manager, said in a statement. "This report is further proof that the Trump Administration has been systematically putting political optics ahead of the safety of the American people," she added. "Trump's failure has left us with 6 million infected, millions more unemployed, and the worst outbreak in the developed world. We deserve so much better."

So is it alright by you that information that could save lives is not provided to the public by the leader of the country? When he has the information that he knows could help families protect each other?
This is probably the simplest and best way to summarize what Trump did. You could actually add the not only did he not provide the information - he deliberately then misled the public about the threat. I think that stands alone regards how he did or did not have the American people's best interest at heart. The rest of the clown show is real also - but this nugget of keeping information hidden that could have helped, and lying, say just about everything you need to know.
The more things change the more they stay the same.

Agree 100% but I was pointing out that Trump is not so much guilty of "murder" as he is guilty of dereliction and manslaughter via incompetence. And people think what I post is crazy. This post above is nonsense or rubbish take your pick. Trump supporters be like.........
