Man, both Belichek and Carroll look good for their ages.

LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Wilson might be the best long ball thrower this generation

I see Bellichic doing the same thing down 4, short passing game, that he was doing in 1994.
Just then, it results in an interception which might have been a pick 6, I don't understand why the play was blown dead, bad move by the refs.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but can’t the receiving team field an onside kick regardless if it goes 10 yards or not? I was yelling at the TV, pick it up, pick it up!

The receiving team can pick it up at any time. The Falcons hands team made a huge blunder.

GC. Al Micheals is too old for broadcast television.

How old?
Micheals just made a reference that everybody in America must think DK Metcalf is Terry Metcalfs' son, because, you know
everybody over 75 probably saw Terry Metcalf some player for the Cardinals, probably before the start of the cold war.

The Cleveland Browns had a player named Eric Metcalf, in the early 1990's
In the Early 1990's I remember listening to Al Micheals tell me that everybody in America must think that Eric Metcalf was Terry Metcalf's son because you know, everybody remembers some player from the Cardinals, from probably before the NFL AFL merger.

And in 1990, I wished Al Micheals would retire, or just get replaced with some announcer more interesting and informative.
I feel this everytime I see a game he does, every year, since 1990, and made 3 or 4 other posts whining about it like this one, it's just such a Burden to have him as an announcer, can't they find somebody else.

Sunday Night Football, Al Micheals, I think I'll die before he does, because I'm not lucky to enough to live long enough to see his replacement.

So, I'm guessing Cam will wear some weird ass scarf to the post game conference and will pout.

Surprise me, Cam.

That was a heck of a SNF game ... impressed by Cam to put up those numbers in Seattle.

Wilson continues to be a gold standard for deep ball throws

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I told my son that Wilson will win the MVP this year before the season began.

Really good football player. He plays the game at a really high level. Smart, accurate, mobile, leader who rarely makes a mistake.

Love watching him. He does everything so well. All the nuances of the position he does it all.

Great game last night. Cam has fit well. Wilson has some amazing stat narratives he is accumulating. Just so smooth to watch. Wish BM could get closer to this.

One quick observation. I did not watch the whole Pitt game, but from what I saw Devin Bush could not cover Fant. Had a hard time keeping up w him, and I thought speed was his biggest asset.

I just watched the highlight video on YouTube and I feel like we should be able to really exploit them. Actually, on both sides of the ball, I see the potential for us to feast.... which means, we will probably get schooled, lol

I think our DLine is going to be able to really tear them up and put a TON of pressure on Haskins. Arizona got four sacks.
On offense, Washington is all about their WR's and don't appear to use their TE's or RB's much in the passing game. That actually plays right into our strengths. On defense, I don't see anything special.... we have the personnel to match up with anything they do, and I didn't see anything with their DLine that makes me think our OLine will struggle

In the end, the game will likely come down to our defense and whether or not they can get off the field.

I don't know how that fit's into your complaint about AM being too old, but Eric Metcalf was Terry's son and DK is Terry's grandson. (Eric's nephew).

How does he even see the field?

They run a lot of quick pass offense outside the numbers where the passing lanes are more clear. But Murray will fling it over the middle too.

I am baffled by his play.

When I went to the game last year in Arizona I was shocked by two things:

1. Murray is tiny. He was a full head smaller than some players.
2. He was by far the most athletic person on the field between the two teams.

I'm not a big Al Michaels guy. He shows too much favoritism towards some teams sometimes.

I think Collinsworth is great and takes way too much grief.

Herbstreith and Fowler were outstanding.

There's a bunch of studio guys who are doing a great job too. Two that stuck out to me were Brandon Marshall and Steve Smith Sr.

I'm not a fan of the studio shows. They feel phony to me. Over-scripted, frat boy atmosphere, over-the-top hot takes, IMO.

Of course. I didn’t say that because I though it was a given. If I had to draft a QB to start a team I’d take Murray third.

Like Baker, he takes a lot of deep drops. He just gets back there faster. He also has pretty good pocket presence and finds the passing lanes.

I always have two TVs on during the games. Yesterday afternoon, there were only 3 games on, so I watched a ton of the Arizona/Washington game. I agree w/a lot of what cfrs said. The dude is tiny. Even the shorter guys tower over him. And I think he is one of the quickest guys I have ever seen. He was making guys look silly yesterday. His change of direction abilities are off the charts. Also, like you said.......his arm talent is very impressive. He's still learning and makes some dumb throws, but this cat is special.

i have a question.

injuries are bad, and nobody should wish injuries on players.

but....am i a bad person for being happy that our next opponent's line isn't at full strength?

should i feel bad?

I dunno Steve Smith and Michael Irvin are two that can be good, but they're too often cringeworthy.

I didn't really catch any of Brandon Marshall.

No, you shouldn't feel bad. You didn't create the injuries, you didn't ask for them (neither did the Browns).

We play with our top 11, they play with their top 11.

There's an ocean of difference between not feeling bad and actively cheering opposing team's injuries.
Pretty sure nobody ever felt bad when Browns went into games short-handed.

Emotions and sentimentality are for other people to worry about; I don't feel bad, at all.

I don't think so. Injuries are unfortunate but are part of the game. You want your team to have every advantage, and if the other team is not at full strength then that's for them to worry about. No one really feels bad when we are not at full strength.

I was going to point out the injuries we have at LB, but poor example. Even full strength our LBs are bad.

Hoping for, calling for, cheering injuries is another thing. You are not there.
