Hoping Baker starts to rebuild the confidence he had in himself back in 2018. I think that's a must-have for him to be successful.

The blue ostriches agree.

I think the key to winning this will be to hold them to a FG on just a couple of drives while managing to turn all of our scoring drives into TDs.
Perhaps that's overly simplistic, but it acknowledges that we are going to give up a ton of yardage. As the field constricts, though, we need to keep tightening up and be stingy as Hell those last 30 yards. Let them move it between the 20s and kick FGs all day, but make them make a lot of plays to do it.
If we do that, and we can punch it in every time, or most every time (at least more than them) we can really burn a lot of game clock on both ends and limit their opportunities.

Dak is putting up 400 yards a game. We will need our DBs to show up. I think we will be able to run the ball, and that might be what we need . Control the TOP and I think we have a chance. If it becomes a passing shootout, I think we get stomped.

I think the key match up in this game will be the run game.
If we can control their run game and I think we are like around 4th in Run D and make sure Zeke doesn't rue the day. We then can pin our ears back and put on the pressure to DAK...I mean all QBs don't work well under pressure but DAK is one of the worst.
If our OL remains healthy right now Bitonio is key in that as he's been the glue, I know Teller has been getting all the love but that is because he has been a pleasant surprise. Bitonio has been a beast. We kick butt in the Run game it gives us play action. Both teams rely heavily on play action. I think Baker has the better arm and is more accurate. But I am bias. Dak is a threat to run and in the past that running QB has killed us.

Did you watch that cowboys-Seattle game?
I think our DBs have a good shot at getting their hands on the ball against Dak.

If our defense is going to stop anyone, it's gonna be Zeke. I know, I know... but our secondary IS that bad.

We can win if we apply heavy pressure on Dak.
I respect Dak from what I have seen of him. However, their OL is a problem right now. Myles can come up big. It will be important that the other positions on the DL are bringing it. So Myles is not constantly doubled.
Zeke will get his. I doubt we can stop their whole offense.
But Dak and their receivers could win this game easy if pressure is not there. We have to take some of that away.
A big help would be a balanced offensive attack with long drives that end in the endzone.

Won't we have Vernon this game (for how long is a different question)?

Vernon and Needy are out. Failed FA and another looking like an injury bust.

Vernon and Needy are out. I think you are confusing Clayborn and Vernon. Vernon is questionable and Clayborn is out

If our defense is going to stop anyone, it's gonna be Zeke. I know, I know... but our secondary IS that bad. I don’t think our whole secondary is bad. Mitchell, Ward and Johnson are all good corners. Now Thomas had a couple of rough games and I would like to know how he was rated in the Washington game. The safety play is worrisome. Sendejo has not played as good as he has in the past. In fact he looks like he can’t play at all. I know Harrison had a low PFF rating but he only played a few plays and gave up one completion. I have no idea about Jacobs.

The Cow-patties are 1-2 and playing at home...still being "darlings"...the "league" doesn't want them going 1-3 in a putrid NFC East conference. I anticipate a lot of "Zebra-magic" in this game.
We will have to play a compelte game to win. The Cow-pies aren't the Ravens...but they aren't the Bengals or Redskins either. The refs hate the Cowboys sometimes what are you talking about?

The refs generally suck so people think when they suck it’s targeted towards their team but don’t realize that the refs just suck.

Not a huge fan of the all brown. It was an upgrade over the bad uniforms we’ve had, but now that we’ve updated I like the new ones much better
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

This game should help give us a better idea about where the Browns stand. Dallas is middle of the road team. They are 1 and 2 this year. Lost to two good teams in Seattle and the Rams. Their lone win was a lucky victory against ATL. Last year they were 8 and 8 and missed the playoffs. Mediocre team who has a new coach.
The Browns got blown out by one of the better teams in the league in Baltimore. They beat Cinci and Washington. Those two teams picked first and second in the draft last year. So, we have played teams that are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Playing a middle of the pack team like Dallas probably gives us the best chance to see how the Browns compare to the league average.

A few thoughts from watching condensed versions of Cowboys' games:
Aldon Smith likes to try to jump/time up the snap. We'll have to mix up our cadence. Might be able to draw him offsides and take some free deep shots.
Zeke is a load. You have to get to him before he gets going. Once he gets going behind his pads, it doesn't end well for guys trying to tackle him (See the play he trucked Kazee for a TD in the ATL game.)
(That angle doesn't really do it justice, but was the one I could find)
I might try sending Goodson on blitzes up the middle on early downs to try to force Zeke horizontal.
Schultz isn't especially dynamic at TE, but if you give him free access to the middle of your defense, he will find the soft spots. Dak seemed to target him a lot in those situations.
Dallas didn't seem to utilize presnap motion much, so I think we should be able to disguise coverages.

I remember the play where Zeke trucked that ATL guy. You're right. He completely destroyed him.

I remember back in the day the Nigerian nightmare (forget his name) going up the middle on a run just Steve Atwater between him and a huge gain Atwater hit him square and knocked him backward's.
I never forgot that play here is this 250+ pound back with a full head of steam and 210lbd DB and the DB knocked him backward. I always had huge respect for Atwater after that.

The Chiefs were my usual Tecmo Superbowl team when not the Browns. Christian Okoye was 1b to Tecmo Bo for sending defenders flying.
