Man. I can’t believe you all watched this garbage. I knew what it’d be, a crap fest. I went fishing. Just came here for the recap. I was right. Total crap fest. I had a beautiful day on the river. Didn’t catch a thing but my blood pressure was down. My mind mellowed. The sun was on my back. The cold water at my feet. I had an amazing day.
You all poisoned your minds with this nonsense?!
Yikes!

Duh er ya .....we’ve gotta vote trump then brah. rofl pffft trump supporters.

It has nothing to do with Trump supporters. The bigger picture is the Democratic party alienating their supporters. The effect of (what is perceived as) the party stealing the nomination from Sanders... two elections in a row... has soured the bulk of young liberal voters from voting for the "puppet du jour". I believe it will have a long-lasting effect. Blaming that on Trump supporters (no surprise) is pretty silly.

The Dems haven’t alienated their supporters. And after last night, it got strengthened even further.

Trump is a white supremacist.

What I saw in last night's debacle, uh, debate...

I saw Mrs. Biden the other day on tv saying, "Just watch and see the contrast between Trump and what a real president looks like."

Well, so much for that!

It was brutal and ugly, no one won but America lost.

I watched as our Half Lion/Half Bulldog President went toe to toe with an older, more frail, Half Lion/Half Bulldog challenger.

Not a good look for either.

Smokescreen? That was a moderate left reaction to the 'anti socialism' drum being beat on the right. Anything to stop Bernie.

I heard earlier today the #1 search last night was moving to Canada. Most search’s came from Massachusetts. That’s probably not Trump supporters.

200,000+ American deaths on trump’s watch is not a good look for our bald/fat/racist/baby man of a President. (if we’re stooping to calling people names now, I’ll punch back.)

Sorry 40. I imagine you are having a bad day after Trump's meltdown last night. There were NOT two strong men on that stage last night. There was an unhinged Trump and everyone else was a victim of his bullying and nastiness. He was a disgusting hot mess and said some very concerning stuff.

But I'm sure you will eventually find a way to spin it lil' buddy. So good luck with that.

Biden is not losing the left. The RGB replacement SCOTUS pick brought the far left back into the fold with no room for Trumpian BS after that. Trump is done bro.

First of all, I have no idea what "there is a lot to impact..." means.

Secondly, you are lying about why I have changed my voting preference. But, that is not surprising given your history.

This would concern me greatly if I was a Democrat. However, as someone with Hispanic friends, things can become very ... verbose ...... when they argue about something.

Majority of Spanish speaking Telemundo viewers say Trump won debate | Just The News

A majority of Spanish speaking viewers of Telemundo think President Trump won the presidential debate Tuesday night with Democratic challenger Joe Biden, according to a poll by the cable TV network.

During post-debate coverage, Telemundo anchors displayed a poll showing that 66% of Spanish speaking viewers thought Trump emerged victorious, compared to 34% who thought Biden won.

Vers, I'm trying hard to say this without it seeming like I'm picking on you because I'm not... But you need to take a second and look at what you are saying and how it is being perceived... You are lashing out at the left side posters on here non stop saying it's their fault that you will be voting for a hateful white supremacist because your family and you had some damn serious confrontations with black people. I'm taking your word on your experiences and can see why those experiences might have you looking to the right, but Me, Swish, Pit, 888, Portland, Rocket, Perfect, etc. DID NOT and COULD NOT turn you into a supporter of white supremacy or a defender of Trump's vile rhetoric... you did that on your own bro. OR AT LEAST YOU ARE MAKING IT LOOK THAT WAY.

Well he didn't know what he has been supporting his entire life until he looked into it a little more.

rofl

All he had to do was look at last nights debate to see what he has chosen to support now.

A man who made it clear that he plans to try and ignore the will of the voters by taking this to the SCOTUS if he loses to steal the election.

A man who openly admits that he will not wait until all the votes are counted and the election is actually certified before he attempts to claim victory.

A man who called for his supporters to go to the polls and monitor the elections which would clog every polling place in America with confusion and a bunch of people that have no idea what they're doing. His mission is to sow chaos just like that was his goal last night.

A man undermining the validity of the vote which is the biggest component of our Democratic process. Which just so happens to be the very same goal of Putin.

A man telling white supremacists to "stand by" in case he needs them later. And they certainly got the message as we can see on social media.

A man so crass and lacking in any manner of civility he can't shut up for two minutes and follow his own party rules to let the other side speak.

Well done! At least now we know what he actually stands for and he can no longer hide it. Oh there will be lies saying he's not really supporting that, but it's there for all to see.

I thought his argument on the Supreme Court nomination was his most lucid, rational argument of the night. I also think this has a lot to do with it being the first question and there wasn't any back and forth at that point.

The thing that people keep glossing over is that one of Trump's rights/duties is to nominate someone when there is an opening. All of this 'election year let the people have a say' hogwash is weak precedent/practice that various senators have employed or ignored at various points as it benefited their party. Trump was correct in that he was elected president for 4 years, and he'll execute the office for the time even though some of these clowns tell him not to and cite a dumb unwritten rule that they themselves didn't follow last time around.

If anyone wants to wring their hand and shake their finger at someone, it's folks in the Senate.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

You should have said "unpack." I would have never pointed it out, but of all the posts on this thread, you chose mine to respond to. And it was your only post.

I clearly said "...led..." When I saw the constant lies, name-calling, and one-sided comments from guys like Pit, 888, Perfect, Rocket, etc........I began to question what my side was doing. I always had despised the right for those same tactics and I didn't like that my political allies were partaking in such low-brown tactics. Thus, that "led" to me to start finding some facts on what was going on w/in each party.

When I dug deeper, I found that the policies of the Democratic party were more damaging to my family and I than the Republicans were. I have never attacked anyone for voting for one party or another. It's a personal decision and one should be able to vote for who they want w/out being attacked. And the more they attack me, the stronger my resolve will become.

For me - these two things really separate themselves from all the other dysfunctionality and lies/chaos of this President.

Undermining confidence in the election process and the validity of the election is a play straight out of dictator states around the globe.

Pandering to, not disavowing supremacist's groups is disgusting. It's not a hard issue to unequivocally shut down any notion ... but truth is Trump knows he needs those votes so he tries to encourage them without outright championing their cause.

I think the rules are written in the by-laws of the debate by the Presidential Commission and agreed upon by both parties. And for this to happen, they would have to go back and re-write the terms and agreement to the debate AND both sides would have to agree.

That's probably not going to happen and trump won't live by the agreed upon rules anyways.

Undecided voters describe Trump as a 'crackhead,' 'arrogant' in post-debate focus group
September 29, 2020
The first presidential debate left undecided American voters in agreement about at least one thing: President Trump's negativity.

Republican consultant and pollster Frank Luntz asked his focus group to use one word to describe the president and basically "every single word was negative," observed Politico's Tim Alberta. One respondent from Wisconsin called Trump obnoxious and un-presidential, while a Pennsylvania voter said he behaved like a "crackhead." Others described the president as being "un-American" and "arrogant."

In all, from 17 voters in swing states, 15 used negative words and just two used positive words or phrases to describe the president (that is, if you consider "an ass but a confident ass" to be a compliment).

The focus group's opinion of the debate tracks with a CBS poll, which found that 83 percent of debate watchers believed the tone of the evening to be "negative" while 17 percent thought it was "positive." Which raises the question: What debate were those 17 percent watching? Jeva Lange

Biden's words used out of context to make him look bad... nothing new. Biden was talking about Trump's admin trying to kill the ACA in court and that covid brings a whole new group with pre-existing conditions.

Some of us live in your mind for free. You should see a doctor.

In case you forgot.....

It was the right who claimed that political correctness was wrong. That we should be able to say anything we want.

It was the right who was on the constant attack on here for years.

So now some of us have decided to employ their very own tactics against them.

I told them to be careful what they wished for.

You do you. But saying our names over and over and over again because you lack the self control to make your own points without trashing others speaks volumes.

You are the same as those you claim to despise.

Since we're all into correcting people today, it's "lowbrow".

That's correct. They didn't give Obama four years to appoint a justice. They didn't even give him three years and four months.

Trump said the most profound thing of the night when talking about this. He said "elections have consequences".

I thought, so true, and he has spent the past few years emphasizing that exact point.

Now that's just a filthy lie.

Obummer appointed garland merrick. The Senate did not consent. Appointments are not automatic.

That was my point. Obama put forward his nomination, and the Senate held it up over these unwritten rules. Trump (as Obama did as well in this situation) is executing the duties of his office. It's the Senate that's horsing around.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

The senate refused to hold hearings because they said that close to an election the voters should decide. Would you like you see the quotes?

They are doing the opposite this time. Stop blaming others for the lies you are telling.
