Twitter requiring New York Post to delete old tweets containing Hunter Biden story to regain access to account

The New York Post is required to delete all tweets containing its story on Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden before its Twitter account is unlocked, according to the tech giant.
A Twitter spokesperson told the Washington Examiner on Friday that the company was no longer censoring tweets that contain the story as the private information that was once of concern is now widely available in the press and on other digital platforms. However, it is not retroactively changing its enforcement decisions and is requiring the outlet to delete old tweets containing the story that it said were in violation of its policies.
The Washington Examiner reached out to the New York Post for comment.
The story Twitter censored from the New York Post purported to show evidence Hunter Biden facilitated communications between his father and Vadym Pozharskyi, who served as an adviser to the board of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma that the younger Biden was once on. The Biden campaign denied that an official meeting between the two occurred.
Twitter locked the outlet out of its account and prevented users from sharing the article in tweets and direct messaging. As of Friday evening, the last tweet sent by the New York Post was on Wednesday at 2:16 p.m.
The FBI is investigating whether emails that were published by the New York Post related to Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, are connected to a possible Russian influence operation to spread disinformation, according to a person familiar with the matter.

No early voting for me as I still have not made up my mind which way to go with my vote.
You could vote for the guy that has a plan for the country to help get COVID under better control, tax the super wealthy to raise tax revenue, and wants to protect Medicare and social security... or you can vote for the guy that thinks maybe Qanon could be right and Bin Ladin is living in Phoenix. Is it really that tough?
I agree with Biden on Covid, and hate Trump's ignoring it like a petulant child. I don't trust the left when it comes to my taxes which I can not afford to be raised any higher. I also agree with the left on medicare and Social Security. I also have not changed my principals when it comes to abortion so I can not stand the left on that subject. I am also agree with the left on LBGT rights. While I lean to the right when it comes to Police. As I have said before I am like a Giant slalom skier when it comes to the two sides
You got your wish. You get another conservative SC Judge who’s going to help eliminate affordable healthcare and LBGT/Women’s rights. So now you don’t have to vote for a lying POS like trump.
I don't HAVE to vote for either liar this time around.

Biden has stated he won't raise your taxes unless you earn over $400K. Biden isn't going to move the dial on abortion (imo) and Trump has packed the supreme court with Anti Abortionists. I don't see a change there either way. I mean - if you pay attention to the people who have worked closely with Trump there is a common theme with many of them all coming out against Trump.
I hope you find a reason to vote for someone even if it's not the guy I agree with and even if it's because the other guy is worse ... not voting at all isn't something I am a fan of at all.
The more things change the more they stay the same.
I wrestled with not voting at all the last election ( I might have voted for Satan in the last election as he was better than the two choices, as he would be in this election
I don't HAVE to vote for either liar this time around.
Did you forget that you are talking about politicians? I'm sure that I don't have to remind you that you vote for the one who 'fabricates' the least...

Got my ballot in the mail yesterday. I’ll fill it out while drinking my coffee this morning. Then drop it in the mail this evening. I’ll get a text when it’s been counted. So easy. No lines.
According to Throw Long your vote has a 15% chance of being counted as a fraudulent vote.
I just read this.
NO! No matter how many folks vote democrat, even if it' only 15%, which is about right.
The Democrats machine is going to flood fradulant votes into the system, and this year, they have the machine set up for unlimited numbers.
So even in a race of 100 voters, if 85 of them voted republican, the democrats would gladly flood an extra 130, (150), or so fake ballots into the mix, 2 weeks after the vote, (5-6 weeks)
So the final of 145+ to 85 would give the Dems a 60% majority even though there are only 100 voters in the whole community.
Rudy Giuliani said there's a '50/50' chance he worked with a Russian spy to obtain harmful information about the Bidens Business Insider Connor Perrett ,Business Insider•October 17, 2020
Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City and one of President Donald Trump's personal lawyers, said in an interview with The Daily Beast that there was a "50/50" chance one of his associates was a spy for Russia.
"The chance that Derkach is a Russian spy is no better than 50/50," Giuliani said, referring to his associate, the Ukrainian government official Andrii Derkach whom the US Treasury Department in September designated for sanctions over his "attempting to influence the US electoral process."
The former mayor told The Daily Beast he believed the sanctions against Derkach were the result of "an intelligence ploy to try to create problems for Trump." As The Daily Beast noted, a number of Giuliani associates have been arrested by US law enforcement or otherwise barred from entering the US.
When asked if he was worried that the information he had provided to The New York Post as part of its recent series of reports about stolen data from a hard drive that supposedly belonged to Democratic nominee Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, was the result of the 2019 hacking of Ukrainian natural-gas company Burisma Holdings, where the younger Biden served on the board beginning in 2014, Giuliani told the outlet it "wouldn't matter," and asked "what's the difference?"
As Business Insider previously reported, the New York Post's reporting is filled with holes and red flags that raise questions about its authenticity, including whether the leaked emails are legitimate, how they were obtained, and who obtained them.
In its report, The New York Post said it had first been alerted to the documents by former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon and received them from Guiliani, as Business Insider previously reported. Giuliani in the interview told The Daily Beast he decided against revealing the specifics about how he obtained the information because he believed the media would report on that rather than the contents of the stolen documents themselves.
At the center of the emails is a supposed email sent by Biden's son, Hunter, now 50, which purported to show him communicating with a Ukrainian official about meeting with his father, Joe Biden, the then vice president. The elder Biden told reporters on Friday he believed the story to be a "smear campaign."
Also in the interview, Giuliani told The Daily Beast he believed claims or concerns that the recent leaks were part of a disinformation campaign orchestrated by a foreign government "were a bunch of bulls--t." Giuliani, 76, also confirmed that he had previously informed President Trump about the contents of the leaked files.
"Sure, sure. The president knows all about this," he told The Daily Beast, adding that other top Republicans, like Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, had previously been informed about the content of hacked information, according to the report.

Source on alleged Hunter Biden email chain verifies message about Chinese investment firm Sources have told Fox News that 'the big guy' is a reference to the former vice president.

New Hunter Biden emails detail alleged dealings with China
Emails were written by the Democratic nominee's son; Mike Emanuel has the latest on 'Special Report'
One of the people on an explosive email thread allegedly involving Hunter Biden has corroborated the veracity of the messages, which appear to outline a payout for former Vice President Joe Biden as part of a deal with a Chinese energy firm.
One email, dated May 13, 2017, and obtained by Fox News, includes a discussion of “remuneration packages” for six people in a business deal with a Chinese energy firm. The email appeared to identify Hunter Biden as “Chair / Vice Chair depending on agreement with CEFC,” in an apparent reference to now-bankrupt CEFC China Energy Co.
The email includes a note that “Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate.” A proposed equity split references “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?” with no further details. Fox News spoke to one of the people who was copied on the email, who confirmed its authenticity.
Sources told Fox News that "the big guy" is a reference to the former vice president. The New York Post initially published the emails and other controversial messages that Fox News has also obtained.
The Bidens' relationship with Ukraine came under special attention last year as House Democrats pursued an impeachment inquiry surrounding President Trump's now-infamous July 25 call with Ukraine's president. In it, Trump asked President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate the former vice president, who was suspected of abusing his authority to pressure the government into firing its top prosecutor.
Another email from May of 2014 shows Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to Burisma's board, allegedly shows him asking for the younger Biden's advice on how to stop "politically motivated actions."
“We urgently need your advice on how you could use your influence to convey a message / signal, etc. to stop what we consider to be politically motivated actions," it reads. And less than a year later, a purported email from Pozharskyi shows him thanking Hunter Biden for an invitation to meet his father.
Biden's campaign has denied wrongdoing and claimed that the former vice president's schedule showed no meeting taking place, though Politico later clarified that the campaign wouldn't rule out the possibility that the former vice president had an informal interaction with Pozharskyi. The campaign also said it has released the former vice president’s tax documents and returns, which do not reflect any involvement with Chinese investments.

Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates also said: "Investigations by the press, during impeachment, and even by two Republican-led Senate committees whose work was decried as 'not legitimate' and political by a GOP colleague have all reached the same conclusion: that Joe Biden carried out official U.S. policy toward Ukraine and engaged in no wrongdoing. Trump administration officials have attested to these facts under oath."

Man Arrested In Threat To Kidnap and Kill Wichita Mayor Over Mask Mandate
Screengrab/Brandon Whipple's Facebook page. By Zoë Richards | October 17, 2020 3:58 p.m. 129 A Wichita man has been arrested for an alleged threat to kidnap and kill Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple (D) over frustration with the city’s mask mandate.
Per the Witchita Eagle, the suspect had expressed opposition to “masks and tyranny,” in a series of texts reviewed by the city’s mayor.
“He said he was going to kidnap me and slash my throat and he needed my address because I needed to see the hangman,” Whipple said.
“It sounded like the person was very upset about pretty much mask mandates and he said something about not being able to see his mother because of COVID restrictions on elderly homes,” he added.
The news comes months after Whipple in July pushed for a city ordinance requiring face coverings to be worn in most public spaces in an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus amid a wave of similar mandates in other cities and states nationwide.
According to the Eagle, the suspect, Meredith Dowty, 59, a retired Wichita city firefighter, was also a well-known local musician who plays guitar and harmonica and has performed in local bars and nightclubs under the name “Cathead.”
Years before his alleged threat to kidnap and kill the mayor over mask requirements, Dowty was honored for his service by the Wichita City Council in 2008 for helping to save the life of a Wichita police officer who was shot in the line of duty, the Eagle reported.
According to the Eagle, Dowty was also notably among the first rescuers on the scene at a 1998 explosion of the DeBruce Grain Elevator south of Wichita, helping to remove four seriously injured people from the damaged elevator which killed seven and injured 10 employees.
Dowty who was placed behind bars at Sedgwick County Jail on Friday evening could face a charge of criminal threat the police told the Eagle.
Wichita police spokesman Charley Davidson confirmed to the paper that the department is investigating the threat and did not as of Friday evening believe that other officials had been targeted in the case.
The case is the latest example of how President Donald Trump’s months-long tirade against masks, mocking officials who wear them while refusing to wear one himself has appeared to promote sometimes violent consequences.
The President after falling ill with COVID-19 earlier this month, only recently offered tepid acceptance of masks during a Thursday night town hall on NBC — saying he was “okay with masks” after a long record of politicizing the point of guidance from public health officials to promote a fiery debate that appears to be on the verge of drawing blood in recently foiled plots.
The reported threat comes just weeks after a foiled alleged plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, (D) who was targeted for restrictions in her state amid efforts to protect against the virus’ spread.
13 men were charged with various state and federal crimes in the Whitmer case, including terrorism and conspiracy in the alleged kidnapping scheme to put Whitmer on trial for “treason.”
On Tuesday, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam was revealed as a second Democratic target for what authorities have said were violent plots against lockdown orders to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Whipple, also a Democrat, has said he believes Dowty’s posed a credible threat and that he will need additional security to protect his family in the aftermath of the alleged threat.
“This wasn’t just some guy popping off on social media,” Whipple said. “He contacted someone that knows where I live that apparently he thought would give him my address.”
This one compelled the Seal team member who actually shot Bin Laden to speak out. Once again Trump questioned the performance of our military and even promoted the assertion that Obama had the Seal team killed.
Then when faced with it, claims he didn't know what the hell he was doing. Seems like he agrees with Biden voters on that one.
Trump says he doesn't know much about QAnon but has heard it likes him
Only dictators and third world country leaders demand their justice officials lock up their opponents.
This is how low our nation has become. This is what people are voting for. This is the type of person who causes people to say, "I can't make up my mind who to vote for". This is the type of person people have to spend a lot of their time making excuses. This is embarrassing the nation I love.

As long as their Orange God keeps endorsing hate this will only get worse.
Just yesterday, even after all that's happened, he was out at a campaign rally in Michigan supporting they lock up Whitmer and "lock them all up".
He speaks, people act then his supporters have to pretend and lie that he holds no responsibility for anything. Personal responsibility. Another one of their principals they have had to abandon to support Pocapornstar. Sad really.

1. Your vote doesn't count. As long as the secret society and fradulant counting goes on, your vote won't have any value. It would be similar if trillions of counterfeit dollars flooded one community, it would devalue actual dollars.
2. They want you to vote. The most advertised common theme is everybody vote, vote vote vote, and don't forget to vote. It would point to the secret society pretending it's legitimate because the population were stupid enough to actually cast a vote, thus giving them legitimacy.
3. The Virus propaganda, real, as real as it is, and fake, as fake as it is, is clearly a reason NOT to vote. The manipulation of the population by mandate through media is a clear sign that whatever anyone is voting for, is, or at least seems, with at least some evidence, an ancient idea of a governing system that no longer has any legitimacy.
4. They advertise the vote. It is a reason NOT to vote because the illegitmate secret society uses it's media to long tout the count of the vote. Anything that is advertised this much, must be an attempt to control you. And I'm saying, somewhere, they mock your or our participation.
5. The 2 party system. If anything, the simpleness of a "2" party system is direct evidence that a vote system of elections and the government is not legitimate, or is not the real source of power, but rather a clever attempt, successful as it is, to control the minds of the population, and in mass.
6. Do I really need to come up with 10? How about this. The CNN election map debut'ed before the 2000 election and even then
CNN was a left leaning org. and CNN's map was the FIRST PLACE where Republicans were given BLUE state colors and Democrats were given RED state colors, only on CNN'S INTERACTIVE MAP!
Thus Giving rise to 2 decades of "accepted" dogma, that Republican leaning areas are "Blue" areas, and Democrat leaning areas are "Red" areas, But, in actuality , everyone knows I have switched the Red and Blue colors, BUT it illustrates, these colors are only assigned by "CNN" a left leaning org?? therefore not legitimate.
I repeat: Dude - it seems like you actually believe this and I truly feel very sorry for you. I mean how terrifying would it be to be someone that thinks for real that you live in a country like that?
The more things change the more they stay the same.
Why I titled this "the NeverEnding Story Chapter 1" is because this election won't get busy until after voting day ends and the court battles begin.
As in the year 2000, states will be challenged, and when it is challenged it will be court actions that involve the Governors and Secretary of states of individual state,
In most cases, State (secretaries of state) certify the election results, and cries of Fowl! are (I think sometimes involve), the state legislatures.
15 Days out lets look at some names to watch out for.
In Ohio, The Secretary of State is Frank Larose: R, a Republican, The Ohio Governor is Mike Dewine R, a Republican who has come out against Trump: let's say a Rino.
The Ohio state legislature (as most state- every state legis. I looked at, (15 of them) has 2 houses, the "House", and the "Senate" Each State Legis. I looked at consists of a differeing total number of participants, but each consistently had more participants/(Members) in that states "House" than that same states "Senate".
For Ohio, the Ohio House has 99 members, (61R) and (38D).
These are some things we need to learn to follow the results of this election which will take weeks to count the results, beginning after Nov 3rd.
Things we need to learn for each state, in order to follow newsstories.
In order for fellow members of Dawgtalkers to follow the results we'll have to live with, fair or not,
To understand the challenges and percentages of votes counted and what action each state takes to certify their election.
To actually find out who will "win" the presidential election, even if it is stolen, which should take at least 40 hours after the election, and maybe as much as 5-15 weeks.
On Trump's farewell, "No Mask Super Spreader Tour" he is now attacking Fauci by calling him a disaster. Just a couple of days ago he called him something even worse.... a Democrat.
‘Fauci’s a disaster’: Trump attacks health officials in fiery campaign call
Meanwhile, Dr. Scott Atlas, a radiologist with no experience in infectious diseases is who Trump called "an expert" at his town haul. Well let's see what his expert is saying......
Birx tells friends she was relieved after Trump adviser Scott Atlas' inaccurate mask tweet was removed
Members of the White House coronavirus task force are praising a move by Twitter removing a misleading tweet from top Trump adviser Dr. Scott Atlas that told Americans masks don't work.
The tweet's removal was a "relief" among some task force members, Dr. Deborah Birx told friends over the weekend, according to a source with knowledge of the conversation.
Atlas, a neuroradiologist and President Donald Trump's hand-picked coronavirus adviser, had undermined the importance of face masks with misinformation in a Saturday Twitter post.
"Masks work? NO," Atlas wrote, followed by a series of misrepresentations about the science behind the effectiveness of masks in combating the pandemic.
The tweet and its subsequent removal comes as coronavirus cases spike across the US and other members of the task force have taken to the airwaves to urge Americans to heed basic mitigation strategies, including mask usage and social distancing.
Birx also told friends fighting the virus is "hard enough (without Atlas)."
She also suggested the task force is frustrated by Atlas' ability to find obscure information, label it as data and "present (it) to the President as scientific evidence," an almost insurmountable challenge.
"If he likes the sound of it, he believes it," Birx has said of Trump. Atlas has emerged as a key influence on the President in recent weeks as the task force and its key public health experts have been swept aside by politics and competing interests.
Task force officials haven't briefed reporters at the White House in weeks, though the group continues to consistently brief the nation's governors and provide states with weekly reports and recommendations. Those recommendations, however, go largely unheeded by the President as he travels across the country holding packed rallies ahead of the election. According to Twitter, the policy Atlas violated with his weekend tweet prohibits sharing false or misleading content related to Covid-19 that could lead to harm.
The message pushed by the controversial neuroradiologist also goes against guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which recommends people wear masks in public settings and when around people who don't live in their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
Atlas has also advocated internally for a herd immunity strategy to combat the pandemic, the idea of allowing the virus to circulate freely. Though he has explicitly denied that he is pushing a herd immunity strategy, an administration official has previously told CNN all of the policies Atlas has pushed for are in the vein of a herd immunity strategy.
Atlas has rejected the need for widespread community testing, arguing that the administration should focus almost exclusively on protecting and testing elderly populations while pushing for the rest of the economy to return to normal, this official said.
"Everything he says and does points toward herd immunity," the senior administration official said.
Many public health experts, including World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, have warned that the "herd immunity" approach is dangerous.
"Allowing a dangerous virus that we don't fully understand to run free is simply unethical," Tedros said during a briefing on Monday. "It's not an option.
