Proud to see some classy sportsmanship. Thought that was long ago dead and buried; died at the hands of personal celebrations. Hats off to The Man!

I remarked earlier in this thread how Chubb continues to impress me with how humble and grounded he is. Now add how he sacrificed personal stats for the good of the team. Nobody in football would have criticized him if he had scored, but he chose the higher path.

Great runner. Great return game. I wish he would have taken a knee though. That would have been genius level.

It's from the "home page" where you can see the different forums and the top thread in each forum. All you can see (all I can see from there) is "Nick Chubb to IR, will" .... I didn't have a clue if it was a new or old thread just opened it holding my breath!

For sure. However, that split second felt like 10 years.

I think Nick Chubb is the best pure runner in football right now. And I’m saying that as someone who believes Derrick Henry’s a complete force of nature. But Chubb put up another 144 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries on Sunday, and caught another three balls for 32 yards. It’s Henry’s fifth 100-yard outing in seven games this year and he’s averaging a pretty incredible 6.3 yards per carry. And he’ll be up for, and probably push for, a new contract after the season. Yeah, I get that the Browns may have paid Kareem Hunt thinking they might not re-sign Chubb. I just don’t know how they can let him go right now. He’s become too big a part of their identity. Plus, by all accounts, he’s the kind of guy they’d want to reward, because he’ll symbolize who they’re willing to pay. It’s been fun to watch him roll.

Nick Chubb getting a massive extension shouldn’t even be up for debate.

Without a doubt. He has to be SO many Brown's fans favorite player since the return and most likely many fans all time fav. I can say with certainty I have had this convo with several friends and we are all on the same page.

Can we get a new "Chubb is the Man" thread and ditch the Chubb to IR title??

Would love to see them sign Chubb to about an 8 year deal. See if he is willing to lock up for that long allowing us to potentially underpay him a little for the next 3 or 4 years but knowing we might be overpaying him a little on the second half of the deal.

All this love for Nick Chubb has to be wrong. I beleive it was Matt MIllen that says he hits the holes too slow.

Well, we all know how Millen is in evaluating players.

Chubb is definitely a very patient runner. I'd compare him to Leveon in that regard. He can frustrate the viewer sometime because you want him to keep moving forward, like Hunt often does, but then you realize that he's reading his blocks and - more often than not - finds the open seam.

Better than some of our superbacks who moved forward into stacks of blockers. Close their eyes and run poorly. His work ethic and confidence let him be patient and still succeed. Really itching to see him run some more. I still am convinced that he and Hunt could have success outside, but we don't challenge folks out there as much as we might.

A lot of our plays are designed for that cut back. It's fun to watch since we have 2 RBs who execute it so well.
