I can't believe you didn't go off when they started blaming libertarians that Trump lost. lmao They sound like centrist dems yelling down progressives after the election, but telling us how much they need us before. Screw both parties. I'll never vote for another centrist dem, wouldn't have this time if Trump wasn't such a piece of crap. But I couldn't live with the fascist and what they were doing to the country my grandkids have to grow up in.

I don't think the loss is because of the libertarians.
I think this is just a very weird election cycle because of a historically/generationally screwed up year due to virus/social issues. And add to that Trump is an acquired taste, I won't even go into it. Biden isn't exactly an ideal candidate either. It's all a large Custer F.
I don't think things will go any smoother for Biden.
I honestly believe this virus is stressing everyone out to the point society wont relax until a successful vaccine is in play. It's a gloom and stress that hangs over everyone.

It’s just the virus?
I’d wager a sizable amount of our population is worried about getting gunned down by LEOs for no reason at all.

Not to mention there will be millions all over the world who will refuse to vaccinate allowing this virus to survive for years maybe decades not weeks or months.

...society wont relax until a successful vaccine is in play. The problem will be to get 70% vaccinated in order for it to be 'successful'. That figure seems unlikely at the moment... I don't think it will need to be nearly that high. Mostly - it depends on what your goals are. The R value of a virus decreases roughly as the square of the fraction of unvaccinated people -- so a 50% vaccination rate leads to a 75% reduction in R. Even a 20-30% vaccination rate will have a huge effect on the number of hospitalized people -- and would probably be enough to remove the strain on healthcare at the moment. Especially if that 20-30% was weighted towards high risk individuals (elderly, health care providers, those with pre-existing conditions, etc.) On the other hand, 20-30% is likely not enough for people who are not vaccinated to feel safe that herd immunity will protect them. OTOH -- it is important to note that the 90% vaccine efficacy is huge! The flu vaccine usually has a 40-60% efficacy rate, and we tend to vaccine about half of the people in the US every year. This means that we tend to only make about 25% of people immune to the flu every year -- and still that significantly decrease flu deaths. We could do even better with coronavirus. There will be questions, of course, in upcoming years about how long the vaccine protection lasts, and whether Covid ends up mutating on long timescales.

Trump Takes Credit For 'Most Secure Election Ever' But Says It Was 'Rigged' David Moye·Reporter, HuffPost Fri, November 13, 2020, 1:25 PM EST· David Moye·Reporter, HuffPost Fri, November 13, 2020, 1:25 PM EST·2 min read Donald Trump attempted to have it both ways Friday as far as election security is concerned. The president was happy to take credit for holding an election that the Department of Homeland Security called the “most secure in American history” while still insisting it was “rigged.” Yes. He seriously said that. Here’s the tweet. “For years the Dems have been preaching how unsafe and rigged our elections have been. So what are YOU saying? Do you think the election was rigged? Do you think there was MASS voter fraud? Or do you simply want to post links to things that insinuate the election was stolen from Trump???

It's really a good thing that Biden didn't need Georgia to kick trump to the curb... What do you have on PA, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan and Wisconsin? Anything? Nothing? It's gotta feel rather crazy when your chosen candidate says he won but wants a recount..... YIKES

I would say that fraud exceeding 1 in 1000 ballots is too high. That is way more than enough to flip an election. 1 in 10,000 is still higher than you would like to see because when combined with other errors and election issues it can have an effect on the election. Ideally, you would like to feel that the ratio of fraudulent ballots is below 1 in 100,000.
Ok - that makes sense. I could agree that 1/1000 would be concerning (though, I think it is worth noting that this seems unlikely to flip any of the states in this election). But more to the point of my question -- What would make you confident that there was no fraud at the level of 1/1000? I realize it is easy to say 'change this, change that' on a message board, and I have not had a lot of time to think about the best ways to implement election security, but I am confident that if it were my full time job, I could do a lot better than the politicians in most of these states. Based off of my perception from 10,000 feet, here are a few things we should be working toward: 1. There's really no reason for each state to have large differences in how they manage voting, so lets move toward having standards - an independent voting system standards body would be a good idea. 2. Increased voter verification. Nobody should receive a ballot without identifying information 3. Improve electronic voting security, take counting and verification out of the hands of people, but with machines that can be trusted - Tulsi Gabbard has had a proposal for doing this, sitting on the shelf- nobody cared. 4. Reduce ballots being handled by multiple people. Go back to only sending absentee ballots to people out of state. People should be able to pickup ballots in advance, with ID, take them home, and return them to secure locations.

In the last 2 Presidential elections, each side cried "fraud!"
People still question the 2016 results, claiming Russian interference.
In this election, we watched returns crawl in. It certainly gave an appearance of some states wanting to have the final word on the election. We waited for 4 or 5 days for results to be finalized. Florida could have calculated their election results and recounted then in less time that many smaller states could just do their initial counts.
Something has to be done to give the election process greater integrity and assurance to the voters. A voter ID law is a great place to start. It is not unreasonable to ask for an ID before someone can vote.
Eliminate the practice of blind mailing ballots. The ballots may all have reached their intended voters .... but the potential for fraud is there.
I don't think that there was enough fraud to change the results of this election. However, I do believe that there was definitely the potential for fraud. We need to change that so everyone can have trust in our elections.

No one was accusing people of wide scale voter fraud after the last election (besides Trump who was upset about losing the popular vote). People were upset because they think/thought that countries were influencing our elections by using things like social media to sway voters (which the Trump administration admitted happened).
There have been tons of studies done on voter fraud (including by the Trump White House) and none have shown any significant voter fraud. It's just not a thing that happens.
The way we can have trust in our elections is to not have our leaders lie about the results before and after the election to undermine the results.

Well since there’s a “potential” for you to kill me, I should go ahead and take you out now, right? Lots of people want to take everyone's guns away. That not a viable counter. I can kill you and visa versa with a pencil if we wanted. The word ‘potential’ in your context is so broad and vague, any person can use it to sow doubts in an election to claim its rigged. Like they’re already doing. Like trump has routinely done and continues to do. It’s straight out of the authoritarian playbook. There’s a reason even conservative judges keep handing Trump L’s in court. At the end of the day, you have to prove fraud, not technicalities. Which trump and his team haven’t. Remember, I have to have viable evidence that you want to kill me in order for law enforcement to take me seriously. I can’t just go “YTown has the potential to kill me so handle that”. Trump has to prove fraud in order for judges to take it seriously. Seriously, what would that even mean? You can’t simply make up stuff in front of...what was it? Four seasons landscaping (lmao) and expect the courts to go “oh well he said it in a press conference or on Twitter so must be true.”

I guess my point is -- that at the end of the day, you are going to have to trust that somebody, or some machine, actually counted the ballots correctly. A few of your suggestions will help cut down on people voting for other registered voters -- but this also always runs into the issue where an alarm goes off if the first voter tries to vote as well. An army of lawyers are going through these ballots in PA, and have found two instances of such behavior -- far less than 1/1000. For electronic voting machines - I am actually even more worried. With a paper ballot, you can at least go back and verify how the vote was counted. It's not clear that a purely electronic system leaves such an obvious marker.

Have yet to see a single verified case of fraud.
The recounts are fine. They should do them. Leave no doubt.
I would expect a few human errors. But widespread fraud ah No.
No impact on the results whatsoever.

Tucker Carlson Apologizes for Claiming 96-Year-Old Georgia Voter Was a Dead Man The Daily Beast Emily Shugerman ,The Daily Beast•November 14, 2020 Fox News host Tucker Carlson opened his show Wednesday by proclaiming that “truth really matters more than ever.” What he was about to report was “not a theory,” he said, adding: “It happened and we can prove it.” But two days later, he opened with an apology. One of the voters he claimed had cast a ballot from the grave on Friday’s episode—claims that were amplified by the Trump campaign and by members of Congress like Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL)—had not actually done so after all. The late James Blalock of Newtown County, Georgia, whom he profiled in the earlier episode, had not actually voted in the 2020 presidential election as Carlson claimed. His widow, Agnes Blalock, who votes under the name Mrs. James Blalock, had. “We’ve got some good news tonight, and an apology. One of the people who voted in last week’s election isn’t dead,” Carlson said. “So apologies for that, and of course we’re always going to correct when we’re wrong. And we were.” Carlson did not mention that another of the allegedly dead voters he profiled on his show, Linda Kesler, had not voted either. That vote was cast by Lynda Kesler, who—as sleuths at the fittingly named 11Alive News channel discovered—was alive and well and voting legally in the election. “Linda Kesler of Nicholson was marked deceased in 2003 and did not vote. Lynda Kesler who has a different address, birthday, and zip who is entitled to vote—did vote,” the Jackson County Board of Elections said. Carlson also didn’t mention that, despite his allegations to the contrary, there is absolutely no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election. Countless other claims of dead people voting have been debunked by major news organizations like CNN, which this week examined 50 of the more than 14,000 names on a list of allegedly dead voters being circulated by Trump supporters and found none of them had voted from the grave. In a joint statement Thursday, the Department of Homeland Security’s Election Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council and Election Infrastructure Sector Coordinating Executive Committees said the Nov. 3 election was “the most secure in American history.” But Carlson remained defiant, claiming Friday that “a whole bunch of dead people did vote,” and that he had “proved it” because he “showed you their names”—the exact same thing he had done for Blalock and Kessler. He did not add any more evidence to support this claim. Gaetz has so far yet to comment. https://www.yahoo.com/news/tucker-carlson-apologizes-claiming-96-162044616.html

No one was accusing people of wide scale voter fraud after the last election IIRC after the last election the liberals were crying giant tears that russians somehow interfered with the election and helped Trump win. Russia did interfere - the world and the USA intelligence agencies have all verified that. You can argue what influence that interference had - but extensive interference was orchestrated. On top of that there was so much contact (unprecedented) between Trump Campaign and foreign actors (mostly Russian) that the GOP felt compelled to appoint a Republican to investigate. Suggesting that situation is the same as Trump claiming, without any proof what so ever, that this election was stolen - is a total false equivalency.

Sunday, November 15th Trending FEC chairman debunks MSM claims of ‘no fraud’, says counting illegal votes can make election ‘illegitimate’ OAN Newsroom UPDATED 7:50 AM PT – Thursday, November 12, 2020 The chairman of the Federal Elections Commission (FEC), Trey Trainor, said reports of voter fraud in key battleground states are credible. In a recent interview, he pointed out that Democrat officials removing GOP poll watchers from polling locations is a violation of state law and federal court orders. “When you have claims of, you know, 10,000 people who don’t live in the state of Nevada having voted in Neveda, you have the video…they’re (poll workers) either duplicating a spoiled ballot there or they’re in the process of marking a ballot that came in blank for a vote,” Trainor explained. 100% Correct! https://t.co/ahL2UglMXF — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 12, 2020 The FEC chief added, he agrees with the Trump campaign’s lawsuits and said their observers were denied meaningful access. Trainor also said questionable actions by the Democrats may render this election illegitimate. “That’s a process that is to be observed by election observers, the law allows those observers to be in there,” he continued. “And if they’re not then the law is not being followed, making this an illegitimate election.” In recent days, the mainstream media has continued to claim there was no voter fraud in this year’s elections, but Trainor’s statements reveal this election is far from over. https://www.oann.com/fec-chairman-debunks-msm-claims-of-no-fraud-says-counting-illegal-votes-can-make-election-illegitimate/?amp%3Butm_source=rss&%3Butm_medium=rss&%3Butm_campaign

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Still posting these fake ass news reports without stating what you believe. Nice. If I missed post(s) where you have put your position in black and white, I apologize.
The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
