Denzel Ward only #Browns  player on active roster who sat out today’s practice. Coach Kevin Stefanski said that would be the case. Injury report for #Titans  here, too

Saffold, Simmons and Smith are huge.

Can't complain too much on our behalf but Ward was playing elite when he went down. Would have been so nice to match him up against Brown and Davis.

No way anybody should be intimidated by Tenn, they can be very good, but they can also suck bad. Their D has been porous all year (despite being overrated by many of the uninformed types) and right now they rank 27th against the pass and 17th against the run in DVOA.

Right now, weather shouldn't be a factor. This is going to be a great football game, and we can most certainly win it.

Can anyone find the name. I read it 4-11 days ago and can't find it.

The Browns signed a free agent safety, off of somewhere since Ronnie Harrison got placed on IR.

I want to learn about that safety.

Thompson played in eight games this season for the Chiefs after spending his first three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. The 6-0, 204-pound safety started 16 games in three years in Seattle, primarily as a coverage-oriented safety. He was the team’s regular free safety in 2018, logging 57 tackles and four PDs in 14 games. Thompson played collegiately at Minnesota and entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent.

This link, talks him up from some Washington WFT teams fan or writer who wishes they could have signed him and the article is from 4 days ago. (gist is he's a candidate to be a good #3 rotational guy)

Wiki Pedia says He was a 4th round draft pick 111th overall, not an undrafted free agent.

Speaking of Taki, he was up to 17th in the league per PFF with a grade of 66 and was improving basically each game. Personally, I had my doubts about him picking up the nuances of the game well enough to this point, but never doubted his aggressiveness. We may have us a potential good one here, and would be nice to get him back while he is peaking.

Caveat that his snaps are limited at 272, then you have Beej Goods at 21 overall with a 65.1. Smith is still imo our best backer, but as a threesome overall, they aren't as bad as many think. There is a lot of bad linebacking going on around the league.

The depths you don't want to dwell in are Macks's at 81st out of 86 with enough snaps at 262 -- but a score of 34.6 overall. BTW, next time a Ratbird or other says how great Patrick Queen is, dude has held down last place in PFF pretty much all year. I have never seen a score as low as 27.7 with 541 GD snaps.

Mack has time yet, the ability is there, which is probably why Nick bagged on him leaving, but Taki is starting to show some things and I had almost wrote him off already. Good lesson on giving young backers time...

Only being without Ward is, all things considered, pretty good for now

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

They have a Tackle and an OLB new on the report with "Illness".
More covid stuff, perhaps?

They have a lot of DNP's

GOOD now maybe they will give Donovan Peoples-Jones a real chance to get a lot of playing time. IMO he should have been our 3rd WR all along.

Higgins 3rd, DPJ 4th IMHO.

I'm starting to come around on Hodge. Guy quietly gets the job done, and Baker seems to like looking his way.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

I wonder if the reason Hodge gets playing time over DPJ has to do with ability to block down field.

I agree. I was a little surprised by the fact he seemed to take a spot over Higgins, but the guy is a chain mover.

I'm still not terribly high on Takitaki but we could definitely use him in run support since the data supports it.

I checked the local obituaries and could not find Greedy Williams. I assume he is still on the Browns roster?

#Titans  HC Mike Vrabel rules out CB Adoree' Jackson, and this is a biggie, TE Jonnu Smith has also been ruled out.

Hodge has been a bunch of big plays for us the last few games. My guess is we replace his snaps with more TE snaps.

So we will have Landry, Higgins, DPJ and eotab at WR this weekend? Maybe a Willies sighting?

The other PS guy is a 6'0 198lb rookie.

Looks like we should have maybe signed Stills?

Equal to Plus hands as DPJ imo, and speed to stretch the field? Favors Willies,
DPJ has a spot because of special teams.

Call up Willies, ( I'd just have a feeling Baker could hit him for 3+ touchdowns in one game.

And Don't forget the Tight Ends, 4 TE's split out, 2 as wides, Hoorah!
Carlson
Bryant
Njoku
Hooper
Carlson had a catch last week miscalled by the radio as Bryant.

So what happens if I'm wrong, Derrick Willies is going to be any worse than the production you are getting from Taywan?
