I haven’t been “nervous” before any game as I didn’t come into this season with expectations and having taken it all as a nice surprise. This game though... I’m a bit nervous actually. We’re actually playing for post season 13 games into the season. It’s the national stage which increases the emotional unpredictability and it’s against the Ravens who we need to play below their capabilities, to make mistakes and miss opportunities IMO.
What makes me most nervous is the Browns run so hot and cold. We can beat anybody and lose to anybody, the range is wider than any other team in the league I feel like. I’m looking for the Browns to have more control over their on/off switch. They’re getting better, that’s for sure but they still play young.
Secondly, I don’t know how to keep Lamar from catching fire. When he gets hot, they’re a very hard team to beat. I’d say just make him throw as much as possible and shut down the run as much as possible but I’m not clear how to do that. Totally selling out to the run hasn’t been very effective in the past Ravens games I’ve seen. But blitzing often ends with him sprinting past everyone for 20yds or connecting for down the sideline. Everyone is half praying someone on defense gets a good clean hard shot on him but I almost never see it. The guy is so slippery and intuitive, the QB equivalent of Roy Jones Jr. He’ll use your aggression against you. The plan can’t be to beat him up. I just hope the football minds in the building come up with a good plan.
We’re going to have to pile up points. This won’t be a defensive struggle IMO. We need to be relentless with scoring. With Ward out and other injuries I feel like they’re going to get theirs in bunches. We need to do the same.

I agree. We have to beat the Jets and one more
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

The Jets and Giants look to be our best bets to 2 wins. The Giants IMO still won't be easy but they came back down to earth a bit yesterday. Oh and Colin Cowherd was right about his prediction that the Bills would win last night. I'm not necessarily a fan of his but I like to listen to his opinions. He's been critical of Baker but I really think he'd like him to do well.

Stat to know: The Browns have a minus-15 point differential this season, the worst by any team with at least nine wins through 12 games in NFL history, via Elias Sports Bureau data.
Yeah we got trounced by the Steelers and Ravens early on in this NEW TEAM PANDEMIC season. And a bad spread in Raiders game too.
Several of our wins we had Big time leads the first half similar to the Titans game and then we would go into this PREVENT D and O to secure the win killing our stats differential. Instead of putting the Pedal to the Metal a more fan favorite and running up the score. We must as a (crap a senior moment) oh got "AN IMPERITIVE" especially against the Ravens and Steelers!!!
Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off! Go Browns! CHRIST HAS RISEN! GM Strong! & Stay safe everyone!

All of that stuff. Win by a lot. Big point differential looks great. Means nothing.
Week 14. Record 9-3. Win tonight.
The Ravens were 14-2 last year. Lamar the MVP. They lost to the Titans first round 28-12.
It is all about who is peaking now. Who is healthy.
What team is playing their best now.
Today. The top three teams in the AFC are: KC Bills Browns
The Steelers have a better record. So what. The Bills showed they can be beaten.
The Colts and Titans are close. We beat both.
KC is still the odds on favorite. However, the Browns and Bills are similar.
They are both balanced teams playing their best football.
Hard to believe but the Browns are in this thing.

Interesting. Using the actual tool - it highlights that we actually should have been rooting against the Colts at the weekend, despite claims to the contrary. If we lose to the Ravens Giants and the Steelers then our path becomes very dependent on others and probably unlikely. If we lose to the Ravens and Steelers only - we have a very good chance we still go to the dance. But ... that's as much as I have looked at playoff picture so far and I really don't want to. . . Just want to look forward to tonights game and hope we look much much much improved from our week 1 shellacking. Miami has the hardest remaining schedule - I don't see them making it. ( Kansas City, Las Vegas, and Bills) finishing 9-7 Las Vegas is 2 games back from us. they will likely get knocked out (Chargers, Dolphins, and Broncos) finishing 9-7 Baltimore is 2 games back from us and could be 1 game back or 3. (Browns, Giants, and Jaguars) will be the 5th or 7th seed We will either be the 5th seed or the 7th seed. or we can win the division if the Steelers continue to stink it up Titans or colts will be the other 2 that make it. Steelers' remaining schedule is (Bengals Colts and Browns). They could easily finish 12-4 Our remaining schedule is (Balt Giants Jets Steelers) we will likely split the last 4 and end up 11-5 but could end up 12-4 and lose tonight.

We also have to assume the Healthy Ben Reo- Steelers are favored to snowplow the passing game over the Browns in week 17, which would mean, No, I don't have to assume that. I've watched the Steelers the last couple weeks and they are a decent team but there is absolutely no reason to assume that we can't beat them. If the Browns want to claim any legitimacy at all in the NFL, they need to get over this mindset that we are playing 3rd fiddle in our own division and that we need to figure out how to get into the playoffs without beating the Steelers and/or the Ravens. The Browns are not the same team that played the Steelers earlier and they certainly aren't even close to the same team that got stomped by the Ravens week 1. The Browns are peaking, playing their best football right now.. those 2 teams are struggling. The monkey needs to come off our back right now.

Mental gymnastics and playoff charts aside.. if we lose 1 game, it doesn't really matter which one, we are 12-4 and I don't see any way we are not in the playoffs. If we lose 2 games you start to get into which games and tie-breaker scenarios and there is still a reasonable chance but we are leaving a lot up to other people to decide our fate. If we lose 3 games it's hard to say we even deserve to be in and we likely would not be.

They can't win all of their games. LV will be out if they lose to Miami.

Bottom line for me... At 11-5, there are very few scenarios where we don't have the 6th or 7th seed, and a couple of those probably occur because we have the 5th.

LV will be out if they lose to Miami. Whoever doesn't win the AFC South is likely to be 11-5 (could even be 12-4). I think one of them is in. If the Ravens beat us, they will likely be 11-5. They would be in That means, even if we go 2-2 over the final 4 games to get to 11-5, either the Dolphins or Raiders have to go 11-5. Dolphins have 5 losses, Raiders already have 6. For the Dolphins to claim the 3rd spot, they have to beat the Patriots, the Raiders, and the Bills in a row.. and that's a big ask. And the Dolphins win the tie with us.

If we lose to the Ravens, Giants, and Steelers down the stretch with the playoffs on the line and 2 of them at home, it's hard to say that we DESERVE to be in the playoffs. I would also greatly prefer to NOT go into the playoffs 0-4 against the Steelers and Ravens. It's time to make a statement that we are legit, that we deserve to be at the top of the division and in competition for the top of the AFC.

Back to beating Baltimore and not hashing out AFC Wild Card scenarios because I still firmly believe that we will be playing the Steelers for the division title in a few weeks..
Anyway. I hope we start quick but I gotta be honest.. if anything happens like happened against the Titans and we race out to a big lead, I'm gonna be nervous. I get more nervous at halftime with a 2 or 3 score lead than I do 3 points behind... Imma be about sick if we got a 3 score lead at halftime..

It's up to us tonight. National TV audience, playoff implications, game against a division foe and a chance to take a big step forward in the eyes of all. It's all there for the taking if we are good enough. We have the opportunity we've wanted for a long time.

None of the tiebreaker scenarios matter until it's time for them to matter. Long before then, we just have to take care of business.... the tiebreakers only matter if we fail to do that.
The blew our doors off in Week 1. We need to show them we're not the same team and return the favor, otherwise we ARE the same ol' Browns, just with a prettier record from playing more bad teams.
It's time to earn it, take back what is ours, and defend our House.
Browns is the Browns

Put up or shut up time Browns. A lot of feel good going around. The Browns need to beat the teams in this division not named the Bengals. I will not begin to crack a smile until they show me something NOT like last weeks second half. Tired of settling for something less than mediocre. I am supposed to be happy we are gonna make the playoffs? Playoffs?! I have had a bad feeling all day that tonight is not going to go well...Though I will gladly eat crow.
Einstein could not even fathom the mathematical improbabilities of the Browns woes.

Doesn't matter. I've got the Browns in a parlay with the Bills, Browns on the ML, prop bets include Baker throwing over 1.5 TDs, Landry catching a TD and Hollywood over 43.5 yards.
If this works out, I'll split the hangar, agree to the first 6 mos. of fuel. My lone stipulation is you don't get that bird wreaking of a double-double, animal style burger!

Good luck, we have NO answer for Lamar Jackson, he can run at will. Wonder if FG kicker is dumped, no way he should have missed that kick. Lots of folks slipping. Baker hasn't thrown a pick yet. Hope he continues his streak of not throwing any. We lose, but not like first game.....Go Browns!!!!!
