You do have to wonder how many of these tests are false-positives?

The test is better than it was in August for sure, but when 75-80 people are getting tested daily, even if it were over 99% accurate (it's not), there is a lot of room for error in these numbers.

But...better safe...

People ask me what I do in spring when there's no football. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for fall

I agree. With the Browns circumstance these guys are getting tested so many times that a false positive will get weeded out pretty quickly.

This is a major challenge.

The Steelers are not a good running team. Their offense is all about Ben and him hitting their receivers. Ward is key.

On offense we are run based and Bitonio is a key blocker.

We can do some things to help a LG like use of the fullback in run plays. Also the route tree's need to be quick. I also expect rollouts from Baker to give him time.

We can win. But it will take every player playing his best.

I see Chubb doing what he does. I am a sick SOB for sure I am Bone but you take Pitts aggressive defense and you attack them just inside their hard charging OSLB. You make them play with their head on a swivel and you nail them in the A gaps.

I see no way we roll Bake they control the edges we just control inside the edges. Bake is key he needs to recognize what they are doing and adjust protection and hit them with their own aggressiveness. Backside runs will kill them. And backside passes out of play action get them flowing then nail them where they just left from.

I think Ngoku can be huge in this game. He is big enough and fast enough to make for a long day for Watt. I run him straight at Watt and see who is left standing. Then when Watt is ready to take a blow I side step him and hit Ngoku right in the very place Watt left from. The idea isn't to stop Watt it's to make him play with his head on a swivel.

The Browns have it in them to take Pitt at least on the O side of the ball, and a bit of creative gambling on D and we can nail Pitt there too.

This season Ben has used the 2 yard pass as a substitute for a running game. They like to stack their WR's and throw short passes I get to the line and I don't move my DB's at the snap, I move the inside DB between Ben and the intended and pick his ass off. It's a gamble play, a gamble I take. One misstep and they will pay a heavy price. Will need backside help rolling to this area but if done right we should be able to step inside one of these throws.

I gamble a lot on the D with the thought I may get dinged however my plan is to tackle well and gamble I look to cause turnovers. We just don't have the horses, so the next best thing is to gamble and try to create turnovers.

As far as game plan. We know them.

At this point scheme change is not happening.

We know how they run their defense. It becomes execution.

Tomlin may put in some wrinkles. However, they are somewhat limited. Because of their weakness running.

On defense our main problem all year no matter who has played is giving up big plays.

We get thrown on deep. Ward is so important for this game.

Harrison out hurts as well.

We have to outscore them. We will not win much on defense other than stopping the run.

We must control the ball. 3rd down conversions. Move the chains. Run and pass. Possess the ball.

Turnovers as always so important.

I am kind of resigned but I do have hope.

Bone, are you really sure we will be able to stop the run? I'm not. It seems like when we really have to we can't. Stopping the run is a key for us this game because if we can do that we make their O 1 dimensional and we know Ben can't throw deep with any consistency. They may come out trying to run to open things up for them. We'll see.

I agree with BtB.

The Steelers have not been able to run the ball. They have replaced the run with the short pass game.

What I fear is Claypool, and their other receivers deep.

At Ben's age and surgery. He has to pick his deep shots.

But make no mistake Ben has been one the great deep ball throwers. I have seen him do it way to many times.

Yep. It changes everything for us defensively. It also very well could be the nail in our coffin.

Is Larry Ogunjobi Playing??

Is This going to be Larry Ogunjobi's first Playoff game??

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I believe they are allowed to play ten days after symptoms started and test negative.

Having Harrison helps a bit .. but not having Ward is a killer

Agreed 100%. I understand athletes get hurt especially in a violent game like football. Ward is a talent and might already be considered as one of the best CB in the league but it doesn't do any good if he's always o the DL. You can only count on him for what 8 games a season? We need to address the CB position in either FA or the draft because he and Greedy are not dependable.

Getting Harrison and Malcolm Smith back is huge. Add in Goodson and we are back to full strength. The Steelers are going to see a totally different defense than last week.

We played their full WR corps last week... with 3rd & 4th stringers at CB. Just getting back the guys we have makes things a lot better than it was.

It hurts not having Ward, but we'll be ok, and he'll be back next week for KC.

Steelers activated LB Robert Spillane, who did a good job filling in when Devin Bush went down.

He missed only four games this season: Jags, Titans, Ravens #2, Steelers #2.

We are 3-1 in games he missed.

Agreed. If even one of those big passes to keep their drives going didn't end in a completion, that could have been enough to change the outcome.

Exactly Purp. You being a knowledgeable football fan knows a lot of games come down to one play or one decision. That Colts- Bills game yesterday came down to a bad decision,(not going for a chip shot field goal) and a missed X-Tra point. As good as the Bills are, and I like them, the Colts should have won. My takeaway from that game was that we can beat the Bills.

Yes they did look beatable no doubt. However, we may never get the chance. If we somehow win this game tonight we have to play the Chiefs. Good luck with that.

Well, more than a week ago I posted on here that I had a dream that we beat/drubbed the Bills in the AFC Championship Game, so as far as I'm concerned, everything is going to plan.

Additionally, Brady & the Bucs won, so that commercial from last year where Brady hands his rings to Baker and says "would you hold these?" is on track to be a prophetic hand-off from the one to the next.

My story and I'm sticking to it. I reject your reality and substitute my own.
