I am sure that the no compensation pick clause had something to do with this...
Never help a division opponent.
There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

Where is Jimmy Garopolo going to end up?
I know this is cost prohibitive and would not happen but if Jimmy Garopolo came to the Browns as a backup to Baker, and frankly probably #2 ahead of Case Keenum,
Then I'd be more excited than if Aaron Rogers, were to join the Browns.
And I like Case Keenum - some.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Villanueva is one Steeler and Raven I will never root against. Saw him play for West Point several times at Michie Stadium. He was listed at 6-10! Dude served our country and even took a stand over the National Anthem. I look up to him in more ways than one.

I can see Pittsburgh picking him up
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Kerryon seemed like he was underused/used poorly in Detroit.

He did a decent job for me in FF a couple years ago, but couldn't get consistent reps because Patricia preferred a rotation of 3 backs.

Jason McCourty CB, went from the Pats to the Dolphins, so the Dolphins are just that much more of a threat.

I understand wanting fresh legs at RB, but not when the choices are Kerryon Johnson, Theo Riddick, and Zach Zenner. I'm not sure some coaches understand that when a RB is in a rhythm and going well, you ride him until he starts to fade. Heck, I remember being annoyed seeing Chubb on the bench at times last year, and we actually have a good 2nd RB. Good, but he's not Nick Chubb.

I'm just as surprised that Le'Veon Bell is not signed. If I were the Steelers I would have tried to mend that fence and taken an OL in round 1.
But hey... they made their bed.

Or the fact that a ton of teams picked up RBs in the draft and/or UDFA who they feel can do many of the same things Duke can do. (21 total were taken in the 2021 draft)
Duke may get a look later, when teams get a look at what they have on their rosters.

Carnival act. Yes and No. He's a helluva athlete.. Nobody questions that. I personally always thought he should have been a TE. Will it put butts in the seats, sure.. Is that the main reason.. maybe, but he has to make the team first.

I could understand hiring him as the team Chaplain. But a 33 year old rookie at the TE position? Yeah, let's see how that works out for them.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Signing Tebow in an attempt to sell tickets and put butts in the seats.
Carnival act. One way to get around the NFL collective bargaining agreement rules' limiting time at practice. Is to get an old white haired coach who understands the Offense to Masquerade as a Player!, who can coach a new young Quarterback, on which the Entire Franchise hinges; on everything from, terminology, to off field preparation, and can accompany the new young QB, 24/7, 365, without any league rules against it. Enter Tim Tebow as Tight End that's probably just a QB coach, present for player only activities.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.
