I don't get what the Pistons did that was so great. Right after the Cavs beat them, everyone was saying they were washed up and the dynasty was over. All they did during free agency was retain most their current line up and sign Amir Johnson ... now suddenly they are back to the top of the pack in the east?

The Cavs, with a much younger nucleus, kept everyone but Varejeo (so far), and guys like Barkley and Bill Simmons don't even think they'll make the playoffs??

trust me, the cavs will be fine...

now, i can't guarantee a return trip to the finals...

but, there is something to say about this team having stability... because they've kept these guys together...

and i agree wholeheartedly about hughes, he has to step up, and he has to stay healthy...

and in his defense, i think he needs to have a position set in stone... if they are going to run him at the point, then do it, but if not, then they better have a plan in place, whether that be boobie gibson, or someone else...

i think the cavs will probably finish between 50-55 games, which isn't really going out on much of a limb

i still think detroit is probably the best in the conference, but the cavs are just as good...

the good thing with the cavs is that they have been getting better each year on the road

I don't think the Cavs will make it far this year. Lebron needs help. He can't win every game on his own, and that seems to be the mentality here; "we have Lebron, therefore we will win." This team needs more than one scoring threat. The amount of wide open shots we missed in the finals was appalling. Lebron makes this team respectable and can get us to the playoffs, but he can't win the finals on his own.

Lebron sucks tonight.

0 points in the first half? First time in his career? Should have never drafted him on my FB team. I might have just single handedly ruined the guy.

Because they were 1 game away from being a 7th seed. They beat Washington in the playoffs who were without Areanas and Butler. Beat a soft New Jersey team and a declining Piston team. Got swept in the finals. No way Cleveland makes it through like last year, sorry. Miami,Boston,Chicago,Washington and maybe even Toronto or Orlando will make some noise this season. Not saying the Cavs can't but

you watch too much Stephen A. Smith on ESPN....

What a terrible game, at least I had amazing seats. Best part was the the dropping of the banner.

Much better game tonight. LeBron scored 45, and still chipped in 7 assists and 7 boards. The other hero was Gibson ... doing what he needs to do: draining threes when everybody helps to cover LeBron. Gibson is the guy we've needed since LeBron came here. A guy that when you toss it out there, and he's wide open, you know he's going to make it. For years, teams would just collapse on LeBron, and beg guys like Eric Snow to toss up bricks from three point land. Gibson is making teams pay for it now.

The rest of the team ... ehhh. Z got 12 boards, but that was about it. Hughes continues to be a brick layer. Drew was decent though ... just not great.

I'm with peen on this one. I don't follow the NBA but I kinda try to keep track of
what the Cavs are doing. I watched their play-off run last season.

But I don't know when the Cavs will bv on TV here and I can't see spending $159 to
direcTV for the privilege to do so. I already pay for Sunday Ticket.

I enjoyed the play of these guys during the play-offs but I agree they aren't worth
the money they want. They didn't contribute THAT much when it really counted the
most.

I thought Gibson did a better job getting the team fired up. I think it was Gibson. I
can't remember back that far. hehehe

Gibson had 24 in a win against the Knicks last night. Not bad.

Oh yeah, and Lebron had 45. Not bad either.

Ferry just needs to bring Andy back and then work some magic at the trade deadline. Relax folks.

was that not the most non-chalant 45 points you've ever seen?

gibson was raining threes, when that dude is on, he can't miss...

i thought z played a very good game at both ends of the floor...

larry hughes through 2 games has just flat out sucked...

the knicks actually look like they might win a few games this year, if zach randolph stays focused, they'll win 40 games
