Trump will tease running as long as he’s able to maximize extracting money from the pockets of his base and put in his coffers. Eventually, he’ll give his support to the GOP nominee that embraces all that is Trump.
LOL. When I moved here I even had co-workers proud of their work ethic and claiming it reflected how hard Americans worked. And yes I know that *most companies* pay full time employees time off .... but it's not statutory and not all do.

‘No vaccine!’: Woman arrested for allegedly driving through vaccination site in protest, nearly hitting workers
By Timothy Bella May 27, 2021 at 1:52 p.m. EDT
As a coronavirus vaccination tent was set up in the hope of inoculating more residents in Maryville, Tenn., sheriff’s deputies working at the site this week saw an SUV speeding their way — and the person behind the wheel wasn’t slowing for a shot.
Instead, Virginia Christine Lewis Brown was protesting the vaccine by driving her Chrysler Pacifica “at a high rate of speed” through a vaccine tent in a mall parking lot, police said.
“No vaccine!” she yelled Monday as she plowed through the tent, according to witness accounts to sheriff’s deputies.
Brown, 36, was arrested for driving through a vaccination tent and “placing the lives of seven workers in danger,” the Blount County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday. She’s been charged with seven counts of felony reckless endangerment. Tennessee attorneys claim each count carries penalties that include a possible prison sentence of 1 to 15 years and a fine of up to $10,000.
Brown, of Greenback, Tenn., did not immediately return a request for comment Thursday. It’s unclear whether she has an attorney.
This week’s incident occurred as demonstrations from anti-vaccine protesters have unfolded nationwide despite the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finding that the vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna are effective in preventing infections. Demonstrations have popped up in vaccination sites such as high schools and racing tracks in recent months, and anti-vaccine protesters temporarily shut down Dodger Stadium after maskless people blocked the entrance to one of the country’s largest sites.
Although the number of U.S. coronavirus cases on Wednesday was the lowest in roughly a year, only about 40 percent of the population is fully vaccinated, according to a Washington Post database. In Tennessee, more than 31 percent of the population is fully vaccinated, ranking the state among the lowest in the nation.
The incident happened Monday morning at a vaccine site operated by the Blount County Health Department at Foothills Mall in Maryville, a suburb of Knoxville, authorities said in a news release. The Maryville Daily Times reported that workers with the health department and Tennessee National Guard were among the 15 people operating the tent at the time.
Sheriff’s deputies said they saw the SUV motoring through the cones set up in the parking lot and it kept speeding toward them. An incident report from a sheriff’s deputy notes that Brown allegedly told personnel there that “she was not there for the vaccine.”
“The deputies reported that Ms. Brown did not stop at the check-in area at the entrance of the tent but continued through the tent at a high rate of speed, then exited the tent and out of the parking lot,” the sheriff’s office said.
As Brown drove to a nearby bank, workers at the vaccine site told police how the Chrysler almost hit them, according to the Daily Times.
“I had several victims tell me she almost hit them as she fled through the tent at high speeds,” a deputy wrote in an incident report. “I was advised that they were within inches and feet of the vehicle as it came through the tent. Several victims stated that they thought the driver was going to kill them.”
When officers detained her, Brown acknowledged that she had driven her car through the site “to protest the vaccine,” claiming she was only driving 5 mph, police records show. She was taken into custody at Blount County Correctional Facility, police said.
Brown was released on bonds totaling $21,000 pending a court hearing. She is scheduled for a June 7 hearing at Blount County General Sessions Court. In her mug shot released by the sheriff’s office, a single tear appears to be rolling down her left cheek.
Corie Gouge, a spokesperson with the Tennessee Department of Health, told The Washington Post that the county could not comment on the incident since it is part of an ongoing investigation. Gouge praised the workers while emphasizing that the Foothills Mall vaccine site remains open for any residents wanting a shot.
“We are grateful for the work and service of our Blount County Health Department staff who are working to protect and promote health-care services in the community, including offering the covid vaccine,” Gouge said in a statement to The Post. “We hope this incident does not deter anyone who is seeking services from the health department today or in the future.”
‘Breaking the News’: Marlow Reveals How the Biden Administration Seemingly Rewarded Big Tech After the Election
Allum Bokhari
27 May 2021
Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow’s new book, Breaking the News: Exposing the Establishment Media’s Hidden Deals and Secret Corruption reveals the deep connections between Big Tech and the Democrat party establishment.
Joe Biden, who benefited from Silicon Valley election meddling during the 2020 election, wasted no time in appointing members of Silicon Valley’s elite class to influential positions in his transition team.
Marlow writes:
Jeff Zients, a former Facebook board member, is Biden’s COVID czar. Erskine Bowles, a former Facebook board member, advised the transition. Jessica Hertz, formerly a government affairs executive at Facebook, served as the Biden transition team’s general counsel.
The book goes on to explain how executives from other companies, including Amazon, Google, and Microsoft were placed in the “revolving door” between Big Tech and Big Government.
Breaking the News also reveals the emerging trend of collusion between Big Tech, with its vast surveillance apparatus, and the U.S. national security deep state. Marlow explains:
After Biden’s election win, the convergence of the national security establishment and the Masters of the Universe began to reveal itself. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines both worked for the consulting firm WestExec, which Blinken cofounded with Michèle Flournoy, a former undersecretary of defense under President Obama. Google hired WestExec to help them land valuable Department of Defense contracts.
From a Reuters report from December 2020: “Google’s former Chief Executive Eric Schmidt, a billionaire who is a Silicon Valley titan, has been making personnel recommendations for appointments to the Department of Defense—as the company tries to pursue military contracts and defense work, according to three sources.” When Biden was sworn in, Schmidt was appointed to lead a government panel on artificial intelligence.
Marlow contacted Schmidt’s team in an effort to confirm the Reuters report — but they refused to comment.
Boehner had some interesting things to say about her.
I remember during the primary debate in 2008, all the candidates were trying to take Herman Cain to task for his 9-9-9 plan, and rightfully so, IMHO. However, despite some of the substantive remarks that were made in the critique, Michelle Bachmann chimed in about how it was the 6-6-6 if you turned it upside-down. I just remember thinking about what a tacky, simple-minded quip that was to stir up her religious base. That pretty much embodied her platform in general, though.

Any Governor, who can give away a million dollars for something so trivial as getting a still emergency use vaccine, with no specified authority and no pushback from the political process and not even a meeting of congress,
Then we can also expect that same governor wields the same power to give away a million dollars to anyone who (let's say makes life miserable), for any person who does not properly gengiflec or salute, or bow, or otherwise pay homage to said governor, and so long as it's "popular" and the controlled media is on the correct side, then they'll continue to get away, or appear to get away with said power trip, That's just not how we do things in America.
I hope they give her crazy ass the max. I mean don't get it if you don't want it, but trying to stop or INJURE other trying to get or administer the vaccine is whacko as hell!

Paul Ryan slams Trump in speech about future of Republican Party
The former speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, sounded a pointed warning to the GOP in a speech about its future, arguing that voters will have little patience for a party built on fealty to former President Trump. He told conservatives gathered at the Reagan Library, in Simi Valley California, Thursday night that they were at a crossroads.
"If the conservative cause depends on the populist appeal of one personality, or on second-rate imitations, then we're not going anywhere. Voters looking for Republican leaders want to see independence and mettle," he said.
And leaving no doubt about who he was talking about, though he did not name Mr. Trump, Ryan continued, "They will not be impressed by the sight of yes-men and flatterers flocking to Mar-a-Lago."
Among the Republican politicians who have spent time with Mr. Trump at his Florida resort and publicly stood by him is House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who succeeded Ryan as the top House Republican when Ryan retired from the House in 2018.
Ryan, who had his disagreements with Mr. Trump, also expressed deep dismay at the way his presidency concluded. "It was horrifying to see a presidency come to such a dishonorable and disgraceful end," he said.
But he did mention the former president by name in praising economic growth that took place during his presidency, prior to the pandemic and said, "To his credit, Donald Trump brought many new voters into our party."
Mr. Trump responded to Ryan's remarks with a statement calling him "a curse to the Republican Party" who "has no clue as to what needs to be done for our Country" and was "a weak and ineffective leader."
Ryan's speech kicked off the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute's new series on the Republican Party's future, its philosophies and what it should stand for.
Ryan was also critical of President Biden, whom he accused of running as a moderate in 2020 and then "pursuing an agenda more leftist than any president in my lifetime." And he asserted that Democrats practice "identity politics" in which "everything has to be about race, gender and class."
Trump West Point appointee spread conspiracy theory: report
A Trump appointee serving on West Point’s Board of Visitors repeatedly spread the conspiracy theory that the Biden administration is bringing in nonwhite immigrants as part of a “grand plan,” according to a report by CNN's KFile.
KFile reviewed the recent comments of retired Army Col. Douglas Macgregor, who was appointed to the West Point board in the final months of the Trump administration.
Speaking on New York local radio in April about the influx of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border, Macgregor said the Biden administration wants to have “as many non-Europeans as possible” to outnumber white Americans.
“The idea is that they have to bring in as many non-Europeans as possible in order to outnumber the numbers of Americans of European ancestry who live in the United States,” Macgregor said. “That’s what it's all about.”
Macgregor further said the U.S. was encouraging the “worst elements” to “enjoy the fruits of citizenship” without earning them, according to CNN.
"And I think some of you must have seen the thousands of pregnant women coming up from Latin America so they can have their children here. And then the child immediately is declared an American citizen,” he continued. “And again, all of this is part of the grand plan. This is what Mr. Biden and his supporters want. They want another country. They don't want the United States.”
Andrew Bates, a White House spokesperson, blasted the remarks in a statement to CNN, stating that the “hateful and grotesque sentiments are antithetical to the values and character of our nation and armed forces — whose standards, excellence, and professionalism are without comparison.”
A White House official told the news outlet that Macgregor's standing on West Point’s board is being reviewed.
Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough told CNN that the army has “no input as to who is appointed to the USMA Board of Visitors. West Point's responsibility is to update the Board of Visitors, not administer or appoint it.”
The Hill has reached out to the Pentagon and White House for comment.
Prior to his appointment to the board, Macgregor was hired in November to aid in the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan under then-President Trump.
The West Point board, according to CNN, includes members of Congress and presidential appointees and is charged with carrying out inquiries into the academy's "morale and discipline, curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, fiscal affairs, and academic methods."
While you judge the Col.- please, at least, look at the "lies"- our borders are open- Democrats say don't come, but offer free housing, food, medical...NOT available in their countries...in their shoes, would you come or not....hell yes. As a former Republican/ now independent. Democrats, shut up and secure the border. JMHO, it is a NATIONAL problem which neither party has fixed.

Thinking about this some more - there is clearly an orchestrated media play by the Alt Right crazy QOP about the flooding of America with illegals and it being a Democratic/Biden ploy .... I posted a while ago listening to a local NC right wing radio broadcast that was claiming, without fact or anything to support the claim, that 1,000s of illegals were being born in NC each month and that it was part of the Democratic plan. Plays right into the "Anglo Saxon" politics that they were touting a month ago.
The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
I disagree with you regards whether the border is 'open' and how you humanely or otherwise treat those coming to the USA seeking asylum.
What I would say is that if neither party has fixed the problem you perceive - then I think I am wholly justified in highlighting the lies and propaganda that the Right make saying this is a an active policy by the Democrats.
The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.
Chris Reed: 2 reasons Democrats should fear a 2022 House wipeout
Three of the past four new presidents saw their parties lose at least 41 House seats in the next election. Joe Biden may see a similar result in 18 months. (AP)
By Chris Reed
May 6, 2021
The Republican Party is perceived as being in disarray by many high-profile pundits, some of whom believe that the GOP needs to leave former President Donald Trump behind if it wants to regain power in Washington, D.C. An April 9 analysis by Jonathan Martin and Nicholas Fandos of The New York Times had this headline: “How a Defeated Trump Is Making a Muddle of the GOP.” Martin and Fando wrote that GOP leaders were confused over what their party stood for and called Trump’s continued influence over issues trumpeted by Republicans a “bizarre turn of events.”
But with or without Trump’s help or influence, it won’t be “bizarre” at all for the GOP to surge in 2022, for two strong reasons.
The first has to do with the advantages Republicans will have in redistricting House seats.
The states that will gain House seats in 2022 because of the census were mostly ones that lean GOP and backed Trump in November (including Texas, the only state to pick up two seats, Florida, North Carolina and Montana). The states losing House seats were mostly Democratic or lean Democratic and backed Joe Biden (including California, New York and Illinois). Advertisement
One might see these facts as resulting in marginal changes in the House, where Democrats now have a 218-212 edge, with five seats vacant. But a 538.com analysis shows that Republicans have full partisan control over redistricting in states with 187 seats. Democrats have such control over 75 seats. There are 167 House seats in states that have nonpartisan commissions draw boundaries (like California) or which have divided political control over the redistricting process. Six states have only one House seat, so no redistricting is needed (or possible).
There is always going to be mischief in partisan redistricting, but a 2019 U.S. Supreme Court decision could make what happens this election cycle the most egregious example of partisanship yet. In a 5-4 decision that reversed decades of precedents, Chief Justice John Roberts declared that federal judges “have no license to reallocate political power between the two major political parties, with no plausible grant of authority in the Constitution, and no legal standards to limit and direct their decisions.” As long as a state’s House districts have very close to the same population, partisans can gerrymander like crazy.
The second reason a GOP surge is likely is even stronger than the first: In the House election that comes two years after a new president is elected, the party in control of the White House has a long history of losing many seats. Swing voters who backed the new president consistently turn on his party after being disappointed by him.
This didn’t happen to Republicans in 2002 because George W. Bush’s response to 9/11 still remained popular.
But in 1994, two years after Bill Clinton’s election, Democrats lost 54 seats, and Georgia Republican Newt Gingrich became speaker. Anger over attempts by Clinton and his wife Hilary to fundamentally change health care was widely blamed.
In 2010, two years after Barack Obama’s election, Democrats lost 64 seats, and Ohio Republican John Boehner became speaker. Anger over the adoption of the Affordable Care Act was widely blamed.
In 2018, two years after Trump’s election, Republicans lost 41 seats, and San Francisco Democrat Nancy Pelosi once again became speaker. Anger over Trump’s behavior and contempt for democratic norms were widely blamed.
Is there evidence that swing voters have begun to turn on Biden nearly four months into his presidency? You betcha.
On immigration, college-educated voters, very much including me, generally support increased legal immigration, a path to citizenship for those in the U.S. without documentation (starting with “Dreamers”) and humane treatment of migrant children. But years of polling show most moderates and conservatives don’t agree. A poll released April 27 by the Cato Institute found that 68 percent of Americans want a “low level” of immigration and 9 percent want no immigration at all.
Coverage of dramatic changes at the border since Trump left office has lessened of late. But The Washington Post recently reported that unauthorized crossings from Mexico into the U.S. were near 20-year highs in March and April — and the public has noticed. AP’s April 5 story about its poll on views of Biden carried this headline: “Border woes dent Biden approval on immigration.” That poll found 53 percent of those surveyed said better security at the border should be a high priority and 32 percent said it should be a moderate priority. In his March 27 analysis of a CNN poll, CNN’s Harry Entenn wrote that public apprehension over immigration puts Biden “between a rock and a hard place. It’s not clear looking at the data how to politically deal with the issue.” How can Biden possibly finesse the differences between his immigration-supporting progressive base and much of America?
Obama memorably called Democrats’ 2010 House wipeout a “shellacking.” Between gerrymandering and what history tells us, America appears 18 months away from an encore.
even though the commission didn't pass the senate, boy oh boy did it further a wedge between republicans right now.
GOP civil war intensified, and got Paul Ryan and Trump battling it out in public.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
i dunno if this is republicans, or just Texans being Texans. but this is just insane.
