As in Darby,...??
I think they really got lucky to knock down the # 1 seed, with 2 10-0 teams behind them. Then they really got lucky that Groveport-Madison moved up so far (# 5), or they would have had to play them AGAIN.
Euclid Panthers!!!
It would be awesome if Euclid got to play Mentor again in the playoffs. I know Mentor has to still be salty after getting beat by a fake extra point 2-point conversion Will make for one helluva game! That and I hope we stomp St. Ignatius. We never could beat those guys when I was there. Damn catholic schools.
GO EUCLID!
i'm totally coming in if the panther does anything in states

Well I graduated in 05 so it very well may have been. We never threw the ball but we had absolutely no running game. So we were counting on something that didn't exist. I dunno. We had a pretty good baseball team my last couple years. That was about it my 4 years.

My wife says Poland. I'm waiting to see how much Cardnial Mooney offers me though. (Dig at Ooohrah )
He palyed this year for our church, and played on Mooney's practice field. It is the field that was pulled out of the Super Dome last year. Bob Stoops (coach at Oklahoma) bought in for $400,000 and donated it to his high school...The rich get richer..

I saw Solon beat Royalton, 26-7, so I'm a tad heartbroken tonight. Not that I expected much out of Royalton, especially against Solon, but a man can dream...
I was watching some of the Glenville vs. Iggy's game on TV - was 13-13 at halftime.

Mentor whipped Riverside, Lake Catholic won last night and Euclid lost 14-7 to Boardman. I think Mayfield won last night too.
Too bad for Rizolla at Euclid, he is a good guy.

Division IV Region 15
Union Local (Belmont) vs Waverly
First game I have been back to watch my alma mater (Waverly) in almost 10 years. Waverly went down 14 - 0, then stormed back to win 27 - 21. Great win for the Waverly Tigers.
Next week up against Williamsport Westfall. GO TIGERS!

Even though they were our cross town rivals when I played(and we beat them 2 out of 3 years I was defensive captain) I am pulling for Glenville.
Glenville jars win from St. Ignatius Sunday, November 04, 2007Mike PeticcaPlain Dealer Reporter Glenville's season was slipping away Satur day night, and trusty senior Jermil Martin knew something had to be done to save it.
"At that point, we felt we had to make a play," Martin said of his tackle that forced a late St. Ignatius fumble, leading to Bobby Baker's recovery and a 66-yard touchdown scamper that gave Glenville a 26-23 first-round playoff win over the Wildcats.
"Our coaches said we needed a fumble, an interception or sack . . . something."

Glenville's win before about 11,000 fans at Byers Field advanced the Tarblooders (9-2) to a Division I regional semifinal game against Boardman (8-3) next Saturday at a site to be determined.
St. Ignatius finished 8-3.
"That's a hard one to swallow," Wildcats coach Chuck Kyle said. "We made a couple of mistakes that really hurt."
St. Ignatius led, 23-20, when Martin, a standout linebacker and tailback, made a hard tackle on Wildcats quarterback Mark Myers. The football popped out to senior linebacker Baker, who went the distance for the game's final points with 4:13 left.
St. Ignatius got the football two more times, but couldn't move beyond midfield.
The Tarblooders' 4-3 defense also rose to the occasion with interceptions by Dominique Grimes early in the fourth quarter and Michael Edwards with 28 seconds left. Grimes' made his pick in the end zone, when the Wildcats passed on a fake field-goal attempt.
"I just want to go home and relax, for just a little while," said a drained Ted Ginn Sr., Glenville's coach. "It's always a great game between Glenville and St. Ignatius."
You may be in the drivers seat but God is holding the map. #GMSTRONG

My two teams, Mentor (team I played for) & Groveport-Madison (team I coach for), both won!! Bring on the Comets (Solon) and the Panthers (Hilliard Darby) in the rematch specials. Mentor beat Solon and Groveport-Madison beat Darby in the reg. season. This should be a hell of a weekend for football. Browns/Steelers too!! Too bad Ohio St./Michigan isn't until next weekend.

Kardiac12, question for you. The guy I work with has a son who plays for Groveport, his last name is Shepherd (I believe #60), how good is he? What does he play? His dad is not football knowledgeable at all.

Seem's like steubenville is in it every year. I remember when my H.S played them and we ran the opening kick off back for a touch down, we scored only once after that! Man that was a long time ago! 1984
