I didn't even know Greedy could play QB. Good to know. We're still waiting to see if he can play CB. lol First thought I had, though, was whether slinging the ball around was the best thing for his shoulder.

Greedy Williams feeling like himself after missing last season Josh Alper Thu, June 10, 2021, 7:37 AM https://sports.yahoo.com/greedy-williams-feeling-himself-missing-113701743.htmlThe Browns signed players like Jadeveon Clowney, John Johnson and Anthony Walker to bolster their defense this offseason, but they have some in-house additions to the unit as well. Safety Grant Delpit missed his rookie season with a torn Achilles and cornerback Greedy Williams missed his second NFL season with a nerve injury to his shoulder. Williams jumped back into drills this week for the first time since the injury and told reporters on Wednesday that he’s feeling back to form after his long layoff. “It’s a great feeling,” Williams said, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “Just being reunited with the team, going through the drills with them and things like that, it gives you the happiest moments. . . . I definitely feel like myself. When I’m out on the field, I don’t really think about my injury. I’m just ready to compete.” The Browns took cornerback Greg Newsome in the first round of this year’s draft and they also signed Troy Hill as a free agent to go with Denzel Ward, so Williams will have to prove he’s back before he’ll be handed a lot of playing time. That process is now underway and training camp will help set the pecking order in the Cleveland secondary.

The first chart shows the Browns vs. Giants on 8/22 @ 1:00. I've seen on 2 different web pages that game is @ 8:00.

Just Give me 60 seconds to consider this Analyze this.
Should The Browns Trade For LA Chargers WR KJ Hill before he is waived, and ends up on ?? the Jets? or Jaguars? 49ers.
What it would cost? A 7th or an exiting player? Really nothing in the long run.
What he offers, I believe is catches per game. And yards per catch. (They aren't using him so this won't show up in the stat sheet but it's there I believe. Smart Tough and Accounable.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

That is great news about Greedy. I like Greedy. He has smooth feet. He can play man. You talk about "transition and flip the hips". Greedy can do that. He ran 4.37.
If the shoulder nerve healed. He has fresh legs; should be good to go.
So, Ward, Greedy, Newsome plus Troy Hill the slot specialist that is good company. Huge improvement at corner.

What is this imaginary need for WR in such a desperate notion. We are set.
Unless some steal shows up out there we are done with our roster regarding WR

The supposed lack of depth is TL’s long game troll. He’s yet to find me a team with better 4th through 6th options on their bench.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I chose not to dive into the argument and have the conversation because I'm a Browns fan, not going to argue against them. The Browns do not have the #1 set of #4, #5, and #6 options at WR in the league, nor the worst, the Jaguars and Lions quickly come to mind as worse, somewhere between 2nd and 30th that is a range. You can search for yourself, but they are the Browns, so Go Browns.

Who is our # 4,5,6 right now and really #6 is not a realistic argument considering you can only put 5 eligible WRs out there at one time.
But I would say OBJ, Landry and Higgins are our 1,2,3
4, 5, 6 and in no particular order
Schwartz, Hodges and DPJones.
Ravens: Watson, Bateman (R), Boykin are there 1,2,3???
Brown, and then who know 5 n 6???
Bills who I think is a big threat in the AFC.
Sanders, Diggs, Beasley 1, 2, 3
4,5,6 bevy of Who is that???
Bengals: Boyd and Chase and that is it they don't have a #3
Breakfast time...see you later.

The Bengals, 1 2 3 will be T.H. Jamar Chase and Tyler Boyd, ( I feel ridiculous saying that.) but Audin Tate at #4 is a better option than the Browns, Now, If We include Tight ends the Browns are in a better situation. The End. but, If the Question is, Nobody has a better 4-6 in the league than the Browns at Wr, the Bengals and Ravens come right to mind and it doesn't even matter because it's about what is going to happen on game day. Let's look at the Steelers, Washington, and JuJu and Claypool, where they list Claypool and Washington as 3 and 4 behind someone I forget, but, The Browns don't have a "Clearly superior option to Washington in Higgins, or DPJ, or Hodge? ( And I don't think Schwartz is going to have 6 catches on the y' (month), 20 on the year, I think he is a fantasy that will take 3-4 years to learn his best playing but I still hope to be wrong, Go Browns!) The Ravens, I think If you take, Bateman, and Watson, and Tylan Wallace, and Duvernay, and Boykin and Brown, Can I say the Ravens and Bengals clearly have a better #4, and the Steelers probably have a better #3, But I like the Browns, that is why I want to see them improve, including picking up some more good options.

So you are comparing fourth and fifth receivers? Are you Desperate for something to complain about? 4th and 5th receivers are the game changer? Because you think the Steeler and ravens have better fourth and fifth receivers the Browns are a worse team? You need help

Funny how returning to the team he was with before coming here constitutes "a fresh start", but maybe they made a better offer? I'm disappointed - I was hoping he'd stay here.

I'm sad that he won't be back, but nothing but Best of Wishes to him, except whenever his new team plays us.
I do wonder, given the timing with another OTA just concluding, if we haven't perhaps seen enough from some of the guys we've brought in to make us feel we didn't need to make a super big offer.

The offer was there. It sounds to me like the time has come to withdraw the offer.
Just on principal you don't just leave offers open ended.

If not it seems he would have taken something else at this point. We made our offer and finally took it off the table. He wasn't going to take less from us than what he made last year. All's good. Sometimes it just doesn't work out.

I sure sounds like we made the best offer. On local radio today Mary Kay indicated that the Browns offered more than $4M per year to him, but she also thought it was hard for him to return to the team that cut him, in terms of having to swallow his pride. Going from $13M to $4M is a big bite to accept. I guess I understand, but I had hoped that possibly being a part of a Super Bowl contender might help him overcome that.
