Who knows... maybe that has happened and it's being worked on behind the scenes.

Not only that - but it's an unusual way to try to get the truth exposed. . . instead of going to the FBI - the CDC - to some form of law enforcement or intelligence agency and providing substance and seeking protection .... She goes onto a show known for fiction and lies. She goes on a show where the Faux News legal team used as a defense in a court of law "Fox is entertainment, no-one is expected to believe any "fact" as being true".
Very odd. Or very convenient depending on your perspective and agenda. The FBI was allegedly called in to investigate. Yan claims they interviewed her for hours, took her cell phone as evidence and allowed her to continue to her destination. The FBI told Fox News it could neither confirm nor deny Yan's claims; however, Fox News was shown an evidence receipt that appeared to confirm an interaction. https://www.foxnews.com/world/chinese-virologist-coronavirus-cover-up-flee-hong-kong-whistleblower

Thank you. FOX News admits they're "claims" and not facts. The small details many of you overlook in your zest to try and make a point that isn't there. At least not yet.

Maybe people should actually prove that's what happened before they take a victory lap.

I'm not. I want to get to the bottom of what happened. But maybe you should take another look at those posts. It seems someone thinks FOX News has it all figured out. And they don't.
And as much as some would like to try and join the two issues together, where the virus originated from and how the virus was handled once it came to our shores is two separate issues. The answer to one of them isn't the answer to both of them.

The answer to one of them isn't the answer to both of them. 1. Who would that be? Did someone say that? Can't find it... 2. The "some trying to join the two issues together" is what he and I are responding to. Go back and read and you'll see exactly who it was (not that you really need to check). Please tell me how "Trumps response" has anything to do with the mathematics of how and why the outbreak started in the first place. Without the outbreak, there is no response. You do understand that one cannot exist without the other happening first, don't you? So why can't there be any single conversation in this forum without the very first post being "Yeah, but Trump" even when Trump has ZERO to do with the conversation at hand??

So who caused the car accident excuses the EMS squad from standing around watching the victims of the crash bleeding to death? Got it.

You guys are hilarious.
It's like you didn't bang on about Hilary and Obama for YEARS after Trump was elected. And neither of them were doing anything at that point to influence and control the Democratic Party. . . . Hilary was in hiding and Obama jetted off out of the spotlight for a LONG time. Trump on the other hand is going around to rallies where the moronic notion that Trump is going to be reinstated in August is being propagated.
Of course - we know #factsdonotmatter - so you carry on with the "Libtard" stuff.

Everything, according to the libs, is Trumps fault.
Make a post about Biden? Within minutes 1, or 6 of the diehard liberals will jump in and say "But Trump......."
6 months in to his presidency..............it's all Trump trump trump.
That tells me something. They can't find much of anything to post to support Biden.
I've refrained from posting video's of Joe speaking. Simply because I have class, and sadly, he is MY president - but he's my president.

Not sure what you find so funny? Your obsession with Trump. Dude. You really need to step outside of yourself and read some of the stuff you write before you post it. It's so far off the path of normal thinking that you are down to like two people on this board that will even cosign. Trump is no longer president, and you're still shoving his name into every flowchart and doing an end around to the blame box. I'd tell you what it reads like, but it would be better if you just figured it out for yourself.

No, there's an enormous difference between defending Trump with a "what about" .... And highlighting posters laughable hypocrisy. I'm not excusing anyone's actions with a "what about" ... I'm pointing out hypocrisy and how full of excrement some posters are. Comprehension, context and facts should matter.

True. However, you need to talk to some of your buddies about how they try to turn those facts into something they aren't.
In fairness, some may not be trying, but they sure as heck don't know how to interpret them. They just google up some facts and figures in an effort to support their position when they don't know what the hell they are talking about.

I don't see you policing the garbage some of the posters on here spew that would be the equivalent of "your buddies" - and neither do I think you need to. I see a lot of posters who get into a spat with a particular poster - and then project that poster's extreme viewpoint on a single topic to every other posters who may have some alignment on other topics. I try hard not to do that, and not commenting on a what a poster says doesn't mean you are in alignment in my eyes. And what you are talking about is Confirmation Bias. That's a thing and it is tied to or part of and other 'thing' - the notion of dismissing experts in a given field if they don't align with your (the royal 'your') perspective. https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/09/05/how-we-killed-expertise-215531/It cuts all ways across all political persuasions.

Not sure what you find so funny? Your obsession with Trump. BS... You wanna know why I bring up trump... I'll tell you... Every single day, even out of office, that idiot and his believers are still saying the election was rigged. He continues to say he won.. what I want to know is why those that support him don't answer the questions instead of making stupid snide remarks.. It must be a way of hiding. So, does he deserve blame for gutting the task force we had there to catch exactly what happened in Wuhan.... Does he? Instead of trying to hide things, why don't his supporters answer?

That was very well said.
Everyone has a confirmation bias. It's actually how our brains are wired.
So to me, the strongest minds are those who are able to overcome the confirmation bias to acknowledge facts and objectivity. Lord knows I have my own struggles there.
You can look through anyone of these threads though and see rampant examples of Confirmation Bias triggering fight or flight, though. I feel like the PP forum could be a neuroscience case study, haha.

Talking about how our brains are wired, another topic I listened about recently, which I thought was truly fascinating: Habitualization. I mean it makes perfect sense if you stop and think about all the things we filter out - but I'd never thought about it before and it was very interesting.

You don't want to hear about the things that trump has done that can't be defended. Dismissing the Wuhan Lab watchdogs Saying he won the election without a bit of evidence Saying he'll be back in the White House in August The list goes on and on. Wanna try and answer these... of do you just want to be like others and call me a libtard for asking?

Here's what they want. Trump is still holding rallies. Down at the border with elected Republican officials who are boot licking their idol. Still out there pounding the big lie about the election being stolen. Still in charge of the Republican party and his lies are behind restrictive voting laws in several states.
And what is their answer? That we should just be quiet about it. That while he continues to spread his lies, pander to his followers and run political rallies, it would be best to shut us up about him.
Maybe if they could shut him the hell up so would we. But they can't, won't and don't want to. They just want us to shut up. They try to make it sound like it's our obsession rather than the truth of the matter. It's the Republicans who are obsessed with him.
He's still out there spreading the same lie that caused Jan. 6th. And they not only want us to shut up about it, they want to hide the facts about January 6th and their elected officials have done everything they can to obstruct an investigation of it. We know who the guilty party is here and it isn't us.

I hear you. There are things that shouldn't be ignored, and I have Jan6 in my mind when I say that.
The tricky part is that there's a line somewhere between not-ignoring and giving it legitimacy. Not amplifying the lunacy is even more important than showing it for what it is.

I take a slightly different look at this.
1. I don't think it's possible to amplify his awful rhetoric beyond what we already see/hear.
2. There are almost ZERO people left who have not made up their minds about 45 assterisk, so the prospect of him collecting 'undecideds' into his camp is slim to none.
3. All his rhetoric is designed to keep his base riled, so any lies that spill from that hole at the bottom of his face are completely welcomed. It's the responsibility of everyone else to raise their voices in unison to counter that firehose of crap he never shuts off. The more that ordinary sane Americans see him for the autocratic, toxic nationalist he really is, the more exposure Real American Values get.
We will not forget. We will not bend. We will not yield. We will not be quiet. We will not relent.
Trumphumpers need to just get used to this. We never thought about shutting up during his 4 years of asshattery, we haven't shut up since he lost, and we won't shut up until he's completely gone.
Hell, some of us might not shut up after he's dead. Someone needs to hang around and remind the gullible how thoroughly they were duped by this 2-bit hustler. They who are allowed to forget their mistakes are doomed to relive them. It's considered civic duty to help those who are- more challenged.

I feel the same way about the 6th that I felt about 911. The country was attacked and those responsible need to pay, period. If you are not with us in those thoughts then you are against us, there is no middle ground here.
