Indians would be a good choice.

Good news, long overdue. Yu Chang is playing 1B today - not sure if that's because LHP Means is starting for the O's, or Bradley hasn't made it to Baltimore yet.

Thanks for the memories Bauers!

Looking forward to watching Bradley. Will provide some power when he's not striking out.

Tyler Freeman has been having a great year for the Rubber Ducks.

Yu Chang Whang Chung tonight ... his 3 run HR busts open the game in the 3rd inning, Indians lead 7-1.

Bradley pinch hit and got himself a double in his only at bat. Indians win 10-4. Civale got his 8th win on the season.

17-3 KC, in the 8th.

Yes, we have given up 17 runs to the worst team in the AL, and are going to lose 2 of 3. We had 3 different pitchers give up 5 ER each ..... so far. crazy They were -66 in run differential coming into today. That should improve dramatically. banghead

It's now 18-5, after Bradley goes oppo vs a LH pitcher for a 2 run HR. There's a gleam, men!

Bradley 3-4, single, double, and a HR, 3 rbi’s. Not a bad start to his mlb season. Now 4-5 for the Indians.

As Herb Score used to say "I am no math-a-matition, but even I know that is over .500.". LOL, miss you Herbie.

Will the fans get to vote on like the last four names?

Or, is this an owner decision solely?

I like the name "White Caps".

Baseball reference and a Lake reference.

Nickname "The Caps"

The Cleveland Indians traded first baseman Jake Bauers to the Seattle Mariners on Thursday for a player to be named or cash.

Bauers was given Cleveland’s starting job despite being outplayed by Bobby Bradley in training camp because he was out of minor league options. Bauers batted just .190 with six RBIs in 43 games before the Indians designated him for assignment last weekend and recalled Bradley.

Bauers is expected to join the Mariners for Thursday’s game in Detroit, and he’ll be back in Cleveland on Friday when Seattle opens a three-game series.

The 25-year-old Bauers was acquired by Cleveland from Tampa Bay in a three-team deal in 2018.

Bauers did not play for the Indians in 2020, spending the abbreviated season at the club’s alternate training site.

In 160 games over two seasons, Bauers batted .218 with 14 homers and 49 RBIs for the Indians.

Amed Rosario now batting .273, Lindor .214. I think we did okay in that trade. I know they’ve been cheap lately but is does allow some long term salary flexibility.

I'm not happy about Bradley sitting today because of a lefty pitcher. He homered vs a lefty just the other day. Why bench a guy when it looks like he's getting on a roll? Does every position have to be a LH/RH platoon?

My feelings for a young ball player in the bigs, like Bradley, if you aren’t bringing them up to play everyday, leave them in AAA. Not playing everyday never lets a player get in a groove.

We are very bad at doing this, Aguilar, Diaz, Urshela just to name a couple. You never get to see what a player has imo.

Not a pretty game, but a crazy one. Bradley with a huge PH RBI in the ninth.

Won it on a throwing error by the SEA pitcher in the 10th.

Fun game for all those at the ballpark.

If Bradley would have hit a game tying HR I was gonna have to take my wife to the casino. Whew it was close, if it would have been out over the plate a little more I think he would have.

Sometimes it works that way.

Bauer was a highly rated prospect. Lot's of teams are willing to kick the tires on a player like that, so to speak.

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

lol at the base-running. Ramirez doesn't exactly look like a speedster running the bases, but he went around that infielder like he was a cone.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Bobby Bradley with his 4th bomb in 32 AB since being recalled today. J Ramirez, E Rosario, and Chang also homer as the Indians tattoo the O's 10-3. They are now 10 games over .500 (38-28)and moving on to Pittsburgh for the weekend. Gotta get fat on this stretch of playing bad teams, because right now this pitching staff is being held together by duct tape and baling wire until Bieber and Plesac return.

I remember you and Milk Man saying how much Bradley was the real deal (esp. when it came to the Bauers situation) so I'll chalk it up to wisdom more than anything.

this is so hard. I like the Pirates and the Indians, and they play each other so rarely. I was thinking the Indians should sweep this series, but looking at the 6-1 Pirates ahead. not so sure.
