So what’s the over/under on Devine getting recalled by his own party if this state has to lock down again?
Remember, our state is unfortunately ran but a bit of crazy ass right wingers that would give majorie Greene a run for her money.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”

Doctors say they're seeing more patients in their 20s, 30s in the ICU Doctors say these new younger patients all have one thing in common, they are unvaccinated. Author: WCNC Staff Published: 8/5/2021 5:38:36 AM Updated: 8:40 AM EDT August 5, 2021 CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Doctors are reporting a frightening trend in hospitals, the COVID-19 patients are younger and sicker. But what does the science say? Let's connect the dots. As the delta variant spreads, doctors say they are seeing more patients in their 20s and 30s in the ICU. This is a big change from the start of the pandemic when they saw mostly older patients with underlying conditions. Doctors say these new younger patients all have one thing in common, they are unvaccinated. Right now, less than half of people ages 18 to 39 are vaccinated in the U.S., compared to over 80% of Americans 65 to 74. The vaccines have been proven to be very effective at preventing hospitalizations, so most of the COVID-19 cases that end up in the hospital are young, unvaccinated people. On top of that, some doctors are starting to believe that the delta variant behaves differently than the original version of COVID-19. RELATED: Yes, at least 95% of people currently hospitalized for COVID-19 are unvaccinated Research is still in the early stages, but a study in Scotland found patients with delta were at nearly twice the risk of being hospitalized. And another preliminary study in Canada found the risk of being admitted to intensive care was four times higher with delta. https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/local/...vsfV_iU6-D5QjZQ

►The Food and Drug Administration is aiming to fully approve Pfizer-BioNTech’s coronavirus vaccine by the start of next month, according to The New York Times.
Bam. Hope it makes a difference...

I’ll again reiterate that the FDA has authorized drugs in the past that have caused harm. Thalidomide being one. Causing horrible birth defects. More recently Zantac. Now known for causing cancers. I’m not calling the FDA out. I’m merely stating that using the FDA approval as a reason to wait is on a similar level as saying you won’t take it because you don’t know what’s in it… while you smoke a cigarette, eat a McRib, and wash it down with a Diet Coke or a Monster energy drink. Take the damn vaccine folks.

Who refused to get the vaccine, because he didn't know what was in it, or what kind of affect it would have on his health. The entire hour or more conversation he was sucking on a vape pen like Teddy Savalas on a lollipop.

Used to have a very hippy landlady (in her 60s by this point). Her husband had the most absent thousand-yard stare I've ever seen in my life. She once lost her balance on a heavy load and yelled for him - and he just sat there staring right past her.... Anyway - she explained to us once, that his issues stemmed from his allergy to rice -- because the corporations don't tell you what they put in that stuff now. It took every bit of energy to not respond "You mean, you don't think it's the acid he's been dropping every week for 40 years?"

You may be correct. It was a statement made more to the premise than the particular drug. I’m sure with minimal research we could find a list of FDA approved drugs that have since been pulled from market for various health ramifications. Florida- Exactly. Vape pens, cigarettes, fast food, factory farmed chicken, farmed salmon… we know BBQd/smoked meats can be directly linked to cancers. My guess is the same guys that scoff at the vaccine would devour endless racks of ribs over their lifetime without thought.

Actually they’ve found high concentrations of arsenic in rice. Over a lifetime of eating contaminated rice it could certainly effect your brain function…. But the acid too. At least if he was truly dropping it twice a week. Yikes.

I was looking for a video of that moronic response from Desantis as to his rationalizations and excuses to aid in infecting and killing more Floridians. You see, he refused to address the fact he created laws that refuse to allow cities to impose mask mandates or for businesses to demand proof of vaccination. He refused to admit he will take funding away from schools that impose a mask mandate. Instead he tried to claim Biden's statement was about "lock downs". And of course some of you buy into that hook, line and sinker. I couldn't find it at the time. Thanks for finding it and sharing it. It's appreciated.

I think you actually took me out of context, which is partially my fault. When I said "Hope it makes a difference..." I meant it in a way that I hope people who have resisted receiving the vaccine until now actually go and receive it. I'm just so cynical on that front that many who are using "approval" as an excuse will just find another reason once it is fully approved.

Yep. It's like "Governor DeSantis, why can't you let local communities do what they decide is best, like you said in the first place?"
DeSantis: "Government over-reach"
"Aren't you doing that?"
DeSantis: "SECURE THE BORDER!"

I am really curious how the conversation shifts once approvals start rolling in. I'm deciding to hold onto the belief that there's a significant portion of people that will get the shot(s) once those approvals come in. I'm not so naïve to think there won't be holdouts that'll simply shift the excuse to something else, but I'm hopeful that there will be bump in # of shots when that happens.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

What amazes me is what would seem to be a simple concept. As anyone who looks at things objectively, Covid cases can become concentrated in certain counties, cities or specific locations first. It's also obvious how quickly that concentration can spread to other cities and counties with that state.
So by giving city and county governments the ability to control things according to their specific needs, it will help slow the spread of concentrated infections to the surrounding areas including other states that surround you. It's a very effective tool to help slow the spread.
So by trying to make a "one size fits all" policy to control localities from imposing needed mask mandates, vaccination verifications and forcing no mask mandates upon schools, it not only infringes on the rights of businesses who are trying to keep their emplloyees and customers safe, it also infringes on a communities rights to stop a much faster spread to the rest of the state and the surrounding states.

Fascinating.
My buddy in Brooklyn said NYC is littered with group E. Obviously, a liberal demographic. He said a bunch of twentysomethings too lazy to go get vaccinated.
Definitely apathetic.
