Ted has been working through some knee issues that finally have caught up to him," Browns coach Romeo Crennel said."We appreciate his effort to this point and know he will continue to help us any way he can in going forward."

Nice way of U saying he'll be the next Dline coach

I seem to recall Colclough had a pretty good rep coming out of college.

...and didn't he do some damage to us last year, while playing for the Steelers? I sort of remember something, but no details. Anyone out there have a few more memory cells than me?

I think he had a KR against the Browns for a TD one year.

Perhaps we can bring him on as a coach next year. Just a random thought

I suspect that might have been the plan all along.

1. Maybe shore up a weak spot for a year or two, while we beef up the O

2. Get some veteran leadership on a VERY young team

3. Give him a coaching job instead of a gold watch. When he first came here, I remember reading something to the effect that he was interested in coaching after his playing days were over.

guess we'll see now....

I was asked to throw my two cents in...so here they are.

I like Colclough...but its still all potential.....The term "look like Tarzan, play like Jane" fits like a glove.

Has all the physical attributes you could ask for....likes to hit...and has incredible speed...but just has not been able to put the mental side of it together on a consistent basis.

It was said going into this camp that it was make or break time for Colclough this offseason. But he was beaten out in camp by the rookie William Gay. The writing was pretty much on the wall at that point that this would be his last season in Pitt unless he could get on the field and shine due to injury.

Colclough is probably a better corner than Madison....But Madison is the better ST player...and for a # 5 CB on the roster...you got to bring more to the table.

Thanks Hack. I always value your opinion, especially when it comes to Steelers.

Doesn't he also return punts or kicks as well? I thought he did.

I was thinking,, Isn't RAC the guy that turned a WR into a CB the last year that NE won the SB.... Could he be the man to get the "JANE" out and the "TARZAN" in?

Love that comment man,,, Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane,,,

He can...but again...his concentration level has made him a liability on returns. He pretty much lost at least 1 game..if not 2 for Pitt last year when he failed to cleanly catch a punt.....Again...I feel it can be corrected....I think it was just him trying to run before he had the ball....Trying to hard to make something big happen...and forgetting to do the little things right.
