They are practicing Tucker at RG this week..
IMO they haven't practiced him at RG because of Freidman...they felt they had a inside guy for the guard spots and wanted Tucker to regain his form for spelling Shaffer.

ditto

although he won't have somebody head on against the 3-4 - so I see him not being as much a liability against the Steelers as he would be against the Ravens. But they list him at 295...I don't see him over 285, Not exactly the power you want at Right Guard regardless of our Zone blocking schemes. I'm sure his technique is good.

What I don't know is why have we practiced Tucker exclusively at RT. I sure wish he would be our RG.

JMHO

I've wondered the exact same thing.

Is Friedman a better guard than Shaffer or Tucker? Hard for me to believe that........

***Gordon, I really didn't think you could be this stOOpid, but you exceeded my expectations. Wussy.

This is a good midseason draft report from one of my favorite sites:

Tuck at G would be sweet for that game. he'd be able to take on big DL.

We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

I would definetly rather see Tucker at guard than Friedman. Especially aganist a 3-4 team, where you want to have the power guards. To me, if we have Tucker at guard that is very little of a downgrade from McKinney, it may even be an up grade.

Please explain how a "power" and potentially slower guard would have more success vs. a 3-4 def, because my intuition would tell me the opposite.

I am not saying I disagree with starting Tucker, just questioning the concept.
