I thought Larry David made some good points.

Ok, one, great this is more pure football than the Rodgers subject. catergorically imo for tailgate or pure football.

I'm listening to Larry David he wants to remove goalposts says kickers aren't football.
Want's to give 2 point conversions get more points say 3 points for a 3 point conversion from the 6 yard line instead of the two.

If I were commissioner of Larry David, I'd remove his vocal chords, he's not eating with them, they aren't human, he's I mean they are one little thing.
(In response to him saying kickers aren't football players shouldn't be deciding games. )
He says nobody can make an argument for kickers
because they are ONE guy in the 53 group. and later he'd get rid of punters.

Well, he's smart, there are 11 men on the field per team, during kicks. but this is good thinking.

Hey, Laryy david could just watch some football games from around the year 1905. That's more along the lines of his way.

Ok moving on, what they could do, is make a game, where every down is 4th down.

Always 4th down, and if you get a 4th down, you keep the ball on 4th down. or you punt or are tacked for a safety,
or kick a field goal, or score a touchdown, on 4th down.

If Larry David doesn't like overtime rules, maybe the teams should score during regulation time. If he doesn't like coin tosses.
I think Larry David should have to be forced to become a kicker so we can see how bad he is at it.

OK, A real Rule.
Field Goals, of 60 yards or greater should be outlawed, and should be a change of possession penalty if attempted.
Sure, Field goals should still be allowed, but
Put a CAP on the place the ball can be spotted before the kick at the 49 yard line, because that is the midfield plus one yard into opponent territory.

( Basically, when a team tries a field goal, the length of the field goal is increased from the line of scrimmage 17 yards most times. the 10 yards because the goal posts are at the back of a 10 yards in depth end zone,
and the 7 yards that most teams snap the ball back to to the place holder 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage.
Rarely it could be that the place holder spots up 8 yards or more but that is rare, a dominant standard is 7 yards behind the line on field goal tries.

So, at the end of games, what the rule may cause would be teams trying for the win, and on the edge of the 49 yard line, who may
attempt a field goal where the place holder is only 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage,
Therefore increasing the chances that one of those long kicks might be blocked and making for a more exciting game.

Throw Long says: The NFL should outlaw Field Goal Kicks greater than 59 yards from the spot of the kick, with a change of possession penalty if attempted.

Larry David also just said, and I quote, from Larry David " by the way I know nothing about football". in the context of suggesting a linebacker from 3 linebackers in a zone, should cover a running backs pass pattern.

Just humor.

But honestly I hate field goals. Don't even like to watch them.

Justin Tucker has won 18 games for the Ravens.

break a leg would ya.

I do think it’s dumb how much emphasis a kicker has on games, but I’m not sure what the best way to solve it would be. Eliminating kicks altogether doesn’t sound like it

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

It will never happen.

Just a fun way to look at it.

I really do hate field goals. In a close game you are playing your butt off to win. Both teams really getting after each other.

Then you bring in one leg and that decides the game?

Yuck. I don't like it.

I don't want FG, EP, or punts to go away, but I do wish there was a way to get rid of the non-football-player specialists. When I was a kid, kickers punters, holders, PR / KR, and LS were position players who just happened to fill those roles. WR Gary Collins was the Browns' punter, K Lou Groza was originally a LT, RB Leroy Kelly was a very good punt returner while backing up Jim Brown. I think RB Paul Hornung was also Green Bay's PK. But those teams had 40 man rosters for a 14 game season, so roster spots were more highly prized, giving major benefit in terms of depth to teams that could combine positions.

Kickers, because of kickoffs, are the only position required by rule.
