Interesting, a loss by the Bengals this week or next, or a loss by the raven next week vs. GB, and we are back in as long as we win. Root for multiple losses here!

I believe that if we win out it doesn't matter what anyone else does. We'd win the division, and have the #4 seed.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

I think we are definitely in it. I believe it will all come down to 3 wins for the Browns. LV, Pit and the last game of the season. I have it that on the last game vs Bengals - win and we are in. Lose and the winner of the week 16 match up between Bengals and Ravens takes the division.

Let’s go 49ers and Packers next week

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

It's as likely as anything else in this crazy year.

I’m nervous for this upcoming game. Sure, the raiders are fading, but they have talent and have nothing to lose now too

The Raiders are the walking dead. They are going to blow up the whole team this off-season. We will lose by 30.

Just looking at next week.

A loss by the Ravens (Green Bay) and the Bengals (@ Denver)and Pittsburgh (Tenn) is entirely feasible.

A win versus Las Vegas means we would sit on top of the division.

The next week - Week 16 - assuming the Browns lose.

If the Bengals beat the Ravens. We would still be top of the division (based on the previous post).

We are definitely still in this.

I don't see how that's possible since the Ravens are 1 game ahead of us and we don't play them again.... We need somebody else to beat them at least once, which would give us the same record and we split the head to head so I don't know what the tie-breaker order is, but we absolutely need help to win the division.

I seriously doubt if we have to..

In the last 2 weeks..

Ravens 0-2
Bengals 0-2
Bills 0-2
Raiders 0-2
Steelers 1-1
Broncos 1-1

We all know this team is capable of laying an egg, but if we don't, the only team we have left that you can say "should" beat us is the Packers.. and even that's not a given considering how our defense has been playing.

It's happening...

"Only" have to win 4 out of last 5. Win all the AFC North games and the Raider game. 10-7 will win the division.

Ravens have: Browns (L)/Bengals(L)/Packers(L)/Rams(W)/Steelers(W) = 10-7.
Bengals have: 49'ers(L)/Broncos(L)/Ravens(W)/Chiefs(L)/Browns(L) = 9-8.
Steelers have: Vikings(L)/Titans(L)/Chiefs(L)/Browns(L)/Ravens(L) = 6-10-1.

How does a league celebrating its 100th season only recognize the 53 most recent championships?

We only need to win 3 of the last 4 and two of those 3 must be the divisional games.
Ravens need to lose two of their remaining 4.

That's it, in a nutshell.

I think both the Packers and the Rams can beat the Ravens.
Ideally, the Bengals beat them, too.
If that happens, as long as we win the ones we need to, it doesn't matter what else Cinci & Pittsburgh do; we can just root for them to knock off other playoff teams.

No Baltimore would. If they win out they would have a better overall record. (12-5) to the Browns 11-6.

If the Browns win out, and Cincinnati beats Baltimore, the Browns win the division.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

No it will not. 10-7 would leave the Browns out of the playoffs.

11-6 Probably gets the Browns in the playoffs. Observe the standings today, the Browns Just Won, when almost everybody the Browns needed to lose or win worked out in the Browns favor this week, and where are the Browns in the seeding race, #9.

10-7 would likely put the Browns in the 9 or 10 or 11 spot. but most likely leave them out of the playoffs. 11-6 would likely put the Browns in.

If the year finishes Browns 10-7 and 2nd place in the division. Even if the Patriots beat the bills and the Browns loss is to the Packers,
if that happens, and the Bills would also be 10-7, and the Ravens would be 10-7 ,,, oh my!!! IF THE RAVENS LOSE TO THE RAMS AND PACKERS, ... (the nfl won't let it happen, they will make the refs not let it happen. ) (the whole league is scripted)

But if the Ravens beat the bengals and steelers, and lose to the rams and packers and finish 10-7, the bengals could be, would be 9-8, losing ..(cincy losing), to the ravens and browns but beating the broncos and chiefs,

The Steelers loss to the Browns would put them no better than 9-7-1, Then by div. record 4-2 Browns and 3-3 Ravens, the Browns woud win the division at 10-7.

The NFL would never let it happen, what they'll do is force the steelers to win all 4 of their remaining games, with ref calls, including the Browns game on Monday night football in the next to last week.

What I meant to say is, the Browns need to beat the packers, to get strength of victory over the bills.
and also, on those grounds, the Browns need to root for the 9ers to beat the falcons, the lions to beat the cardinals and seahawks
and the Panthers to either beat the bills or (I mean AND), root against the panthers, vs the Buccaneers, vs the saints, and vs the buccaneers again.

I don't see the AFC North having a wild card. I see the second place team in the West and South securing those slots. Colts and the Rams/Chiefs. Anything could happen - especially with Covid impacting teams again. But that'd be my forecast as of today. I really expect the Browns season to rest on our last game vs Bengals.... I am sure a healthy number of "fans" would be very happy to tell everyone that Baker is a choke artist and Burrows is a Franchise QB if we lost.

I don't think it is true unless the person saying it has an agenda.

I doubt this is what was meant by the statement, but there are people that never got over the flag plant vs Ohio State. Some of the criticism sent his way is impossible to take seriously. Similarly they get hung up on his unpolished demeanor.

All I care about when someone puts on a Browns uniform is how they're playing for the Browns. I guess I must feel differently about the attempted flag plant. I LMAO when it happened. Imagine someone foolish enough that they think you can plant a flag in artificial turf!? rofl

People said the exact same thing when people criticized Braylon Edwards. I know some people weren't on the board when it went down but here's how it went.... "You just don't like Braylon Edwards because he went to Michigan!"

It's always a go to line for people who can't explain poor play. They find excuses to try and silence anyone who questions the play of those who wear the orange and brown. As if questioning a poor performance is somehow an affront to their fandom.

Given the way this season has gone. Anything seems possible.

Every week people want to crown a new team.

The best record is the Cardinals and nobody talks about them. KC stumbled early and now is on a roll.

The way I see it is you can not see down the road. There are to many turns.

We are on a week to week course. 10-7 looks like a damn good record for this team.

At the same time we could loose the rest of the games.

Being honest. We are not a great team. The defense can play great - at times.

The offense has not been consistent at all. We don't look like a playoff team on offense.

However, when you look around the league. I see a lot of what we look like.
Nobody looks good on both sides of the ball.

No person has a crystal ball. Play Saturday and hope for the best.

And that's the thing about making the playoffs and even winning the SB. It's often not about who has or is the best team. It's about who happens to be playing the best football at the time. It's more about how the chemistry comes together and who is the hottest team when it matters the most.

100%. And it's why - if the Browns can get a little hotter and iron out some of the issues - we have every chance.

There are 8-9 teams clearly more cohesive and playing better than the Browns right now. No-one that I would say we have no-chance against if we can put it together and stay healthier. Even teams like the Patriots that spanked us.

I thought we would would up 10-7 or 11-6 this season and potentially getting the last spot in the playoffs.

I'm trying to keep everything in perspective here, and I think this scenario is entirely possible.
That said, my one small worry is this: CLE will give so much to just get to the dance, they won't have enough in the tank once they get there.

Gotta hope we keep adding players back from the injured rolls and catch a wave.
