It looks dangerous to go to Dem cities, but really isn't unless you go out in to the hoods. Dem cities in Republican ran states. The further away you go from local governance, the less connected to the people it becomes. Translation: Let the good ole boys govern the good ole boys. No, it means if you want local change, you need local governance.

No, it means if you want local change, you need local governance. I certainly agree with that. The problem as I see it is more a matter of voter apathy. People just tend not to vote in local elections as much. More often than not they end up getting the default candidate then complain about the conditions where they live.
