I was called a Baker hater not too long ago, and I just want to say how I feel about the guy. He played a huge role in bringing us back to respectability. He was fun, he had personality and he played really week for two out of his four seasons here. He never had much of a chance last year after the shoulder injury, but he showed a tremendous amount of heart. There are issues - the batted passes, the slowness of going through progressions, the inability to gel with a lot of key receivers. But overall, he's been a terrific Brown. I like him and I hope he has a really good career.
I'm on team DeShaun now, but with some serious trepidation. He has far more talent, but I hate the legal stuff. I guess it will be the most Browns thing ever if we finally win a Super Bowl and we can't enjoy/be proud of it.

Teams know he will be released, why trade for him?

If you were Barry, would you release him while eating 100% of his salary this year at 18.5 Mil? Even if he doesn't practice/play, why would you cut him for nothing?

I think Carolina is more than a "low possibility" because I think Baker is a better choice at starter than Sam Darnold. I think the NY Giants *should* be looking into Mayfield too. I'm not a fan of Daniel Jones.

I think Shanahan's offense might fit Baker well, but SF is a looooong shot, if not a no-shot.

It's ok, no worries. I know that we are all emotionally charged right now. This is pulling on all of us. All we can hope is that it works out for the best and the team comes together from a place of strength.

They are on the hook for his entire 2022 salary. They could do what Houston did, and just pay him to stay home. Why give him away, while you are paying him entire salary anyway?
