Yes, but it is the 5th year, so he is due maybe 17 mil, so that will make him harder to trade. We might end up keeping him.

The Browns are definitely not keeping him. Zero chance.

Schefter implied that the team the Browns were communicating with viewed the $18.9M Baker is guaranteed in 2022 was higher than his worth.

Just putting this out in hopes it materializes. Tired of waiting.

This sounds just as reasonable as the internet "bloggers" that throw things out. I would be ecstatic if we got this. I assume any trade at all would be more practical if BM would agree to an extension. Saying that, Baker doesn't seem to have the type of personality to agree if that helps the Browns.,

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Even though he was said to be a child by the team he needs to have thicker skin. I guess there is a huge upside to following your name on the internet but it has a massive down side too.

Colts are trading for Matt Ryan. The Falcons are going.to sign
Marcus Mariotta. Sounds like The league opinion on Mayfield
Doesnt quite equate to the opinions of the Baker fanclub.

Looking that way, yes. I trust Berry to get more than Philly got for Wentz.

He might sit on the bench right up to the trade deadline this year. Injuries and crappy QB play will bring a suitor eventually.

What kind of world do we live in where DW gets the bank thrown at him and a QB with similar stats can't get a return due to a one year, 18 mil contract. smfh. The whole world is upside down.

I was called a Baker hater not too long ago, and I just want to say how I feel about the guy. He played a huge role in bringing us back to respectability. He was fun, he had personality and he played really week for two out of his four seasons here. He never had much of a chance last year after the shoulder injury, but he showed a tremendous amount of heart. There are issues - the batted passes, the slowness of going through progressions, the inability to gel with a lot of key receivers. But overall, he's been a terrific Brown. I like him and I hope he has a really good career.
I'm on team DeShaun now, but with some serious trepidation. He has far more talent, but I hate the legal stuff. I guess it will be the most Browns thing ever if we finally win a Super Bowl and we can't enjoy/be proud of it.

Schefter is saying Browns will likely get a low pick for Baker and the market is quite small.

Some team will have an injury and come calling.

Equating Baker to Watson is a joke. Stats mean nothing. Watch them play. I like Baker, but Watson is a way better player

If you were Barry, would you release him while eating 100% of his salary this year at 18.5 Mil? Even if he doesn't practice/play, why would you cut him for nothing?

I think Carolina is more than a "low possibility" because I think Baker is a better choice at starter than Sam Darnold. I think the NY Giants *should* be looking into Mayfield too. I'm not a fan of Daniel Jones.

I think Shanahan's offense might fit Baker well, but SF is a looooong shot, if not a no-shot.

At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

want to apologize for the other night.

Sports are to be fun and take regular life struggles away, seems it worsens things

see so many emotions right now and it's somewhat sad.

Guess it's part of the game and life itself

I consider most if not all of you friends on this board and emotions and beliefs can cause friction and arguments among us.

There is always a time to know that a person's feelings are more important .

Sorry , the Falcons didn't get Baker for you !

It's ok, no worries. I know that we are all emotionally charged right now. This is pulling on all of us. All we can hope is that it works out for the best and the team comes together from a place of strength.

I agree except if they can't find a trade partner. I am not saying he is going to play or even be on the bench.

Schefter said that a team asked the Browns to attach a pick to take him on.

Like we did with the Texans and whatshisname a few years back.

It's just a big salary to take on, especially for a guy coming off a bad year and surgery.

Browns is the Browns

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Osweiler. The point is if Baker had any value at all teams would be willing to pay for him. The Falcons got a third for Matt Ryan and he's old and way more expensive than Baker.

I was thinking we shouldn’t wait if we’re trying to get Clowney and Landry back.

Why would the Browns just cut him?

They are on the hook for his entire 2022 salary. They could do what Houston did, and just pay him to stay home. Why give him away, while you are paying him entire salary anyway?
