“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
So... y'alls think Biden is NOT in cognitive decline?
no. especially since i watched a guy for the last 4 years struggle to complete a coherent sentence. if that wasnt a sign of cognitive decline, then im not gonna view biden that way either.
But Swish this is what a stable genius sounds like. Dude was a mental midget. I’ll take an aging Biden any day of the week. Especially over this ‘policy’.
So... y'alls think Biden is NOT in cognitive decline?
I definitely think there are signs of it. The issue is he’s he gaffes in the past and he’s not the best speaker, which I won’t fault him for, because most of it is due to his stutter and disabilities in that regard. However, I do think it’s been exacerbated by some level of mental decline.
I think what bothers me on a broader level is something that Elon Musk just brought up. We have a president who’s 79, a Senate Majority Leader who’s 71, a Senate Minority Leader who’s 80, a Speaker of the House who’s 82, a progressive caucus leader who’s 80, and a Republican presidential front running candidate who’s 75. McCarthy is the young buck in there at 57. It was very apparent when Zelensky was speaking to Congress. You see this 45 year old talking to a sea of white.
At some point, I have to ask when we can get leadership that…I don’t know…actually has a stake in the future???
To counter that point, though, I look at some of the younger people in office, like Cawthorn, Boebert, Greene, AOC, etc. and I think “yeah, but not them…”

Sometimes it takes something like seeing Zelensky there to "snap out of it" and realize what we're watching day after day, year after year.
I just don't get the Trump as a measuring stick theory... you see it right above with Portland and Swish. These are people than complained about Trump 24/7, but as long as Joe is "in the neighborhood", all is well.
It's like rushing out to buy a DeShone Kizer jersey because he's a cut above Cody Kessler.
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks President Biden got played by Senator Joe Manchin — and that the president’s nostalgia for a bygone era of backroom dealmaking could prove disastrous for Democrats in the midterms.
Sitting in her campaign office, she says this matter-of-factly, as if bucking the explicit orders of her party’s leaders — up to and including the president of the United States — is not that big of a deal. But it is.
“As a younger member of Congress, the first vote I ever cast was for Barack Obama, who was called a socialist and all of this stuff. All of this rhetoric that we see today has been the political reality my entire life. And so I never felt a nostalgia for something that never existed in my lifetime,” she told me. “I feel like our politics has fundamentally changed — whether it’s for better or for worse is for people’s determination — but I was never under the illusion that we can bring Manchin along.”
Ocasio-Cortez was one one of only six Democrats (including Representative Jamaal Bowman of the Bronx) — to vote against Biden’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill last November. She reasoned — correctly, it turned out — that severing the infrastructure spending from Biden’s much larger Build Back Better proposal would allow the bigger bill to be killed, in the closely divided Senate, by the defection of two conservative Democratic senators, Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.
“I have the utmost respect and confidence in the president, but I just felt like we called two different plays on this one,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “I think that there is a sense among more senior members of Congress, who have been around in different political times, that we can get back to this time of buddy-buddy and backslapping and we’ll cut a deal and go into a room with some bourbon and some smoke and you’ll come out and work something out. I think there’s a real nostalgia and belief that that time still exists or that we can get back to that.”
But those days, she says, have been over for a long time. And the fact that Biden and others don’t realize it, she says, could spell disaster in the fall’s elections. With Biden’s low approval numbers and the historic tendency of the president’s party to lose, on average, 26 House seats in the midterms, the Democrats face an uphill battle to keep control of Congress — a situation that requires firing up the party’s progressive base, Ocasio-Cortez said.
“We need to acknowledge that this isn’t just about middle of the road, an increasingly narrow band of independent voters. This is really about the collapse of support among young people, among the Democratic base, who are feeling that they worked overtime to get this president elected and aren’t necessarily being seen,” she said.
Ocasio-Cortez and the other 97 members of the House Progressive Caucus are calling on Biden to issue executive orders to enact environmental protections, lower health-care costs, cancel federal student-loan debts, and expand protections for immigrants.
“If the president does pursue and start to govern decisively using executive action and other tools at his disposal, I think we’re in the game,” she said. “But if we decide to just kind of sit back for the rest of the year and not change people’s lives — yeah, I do think we’re in trouble. So I don’t think that it’s set in stone. I think that we can determine our destiny here.”
Ocasio-Cortez isn’t always at odds with senior Democrats, pointing to a law she got passed with help from Senator Chuck Schumer.
“I worked with some of our organizers out in East Elmhurst, and we created the largest-ever federal funeral-assistance program for COVID-19. And so I was able to author an $8 billion FEMA program. Now, every single person in the United States who loses a loved one due to COVID-19, can get completely reimbursed for funeral expenses and laying their loved ones to rest. That started with community organizers in East Elmhurst. It was picked up by myself and my office, Senator Schumer supported us in that effort, and it to date is the largest funeral-assistance program in history.”
Locally, Ocasio-Cortez is steadily remaking the mainstream of Democratic politics in her own image: younger, more diverse and digital, and more willing to break with tradition.
“We stay organizing all-year-round,” she told followers in a video last December that ticked off a list of bills she had sponsored, constituents she had helped, and community campaigns she had launched or supported in 2021, a nonelection year. She and her staff handed out turkeys, ran a tutoring program for kids, stood with taxi drivers holding a hunger strike, trained tenant organizers, knocked on thousands of doors in support of the Green New Deal, and so on.
The message was pushed out through Ocasio-Cortez’s formidable social-media operation, which has nearly 13 million followers on Twitter and 8.5 million on Instagram.
Ocasio-Cortez began 2022 with more than $6 million on hand in her campaign account; her closest challenger, a Republican, had just over $54,000. “Even though some would argue that it’s not necessary to run a fully fledged campaign, I think, especially the way that I came into office, it’s really important that we do a full-court mobilization, no matter what’s going on,” she said — a reference to her below-the-radar first campaign, which toppled incumbent Joe Crowley in 2018.
Lots of politicians are trying to imitate Ocasio-Cortez’s success — right down to copying the distinctive logo of her first campaign poster — but few, even among progressives, have been willing to do what she has to support a growing number of local and state officials, especially in Latino neighborhoods.
“I think it’s really disgraceful, frankly, the lack of Latino representation. And the thing is that this isn’t just about identity representation, it’s also about issue representation. Frankly, even with the mayor, some of his Latino appointments have been homophobic and have been unrepresentative of the interests of our broader community. Even on the state level, there is an enormous dearth of real representation of people fighting for Latinos,” she told me. “I have endorsed and invested in, I believe, 19 city council candidates that won their races this past cycle. So a lot of the work that I’m investing in is building our bench and also organizing our voters and our communities around the issues that are important to us.”
Through Courage to Change, a political action committee, Ocasio-Cortez supported 15 of the new council’s 51 members who took the Courage to Change pledge, a set of promises to adopt a progressive agenda that include advancing pro-worker policies, supporting environmental justice, refusing donations from real estate, fossil fuel and corporate interests, and championing community-based public-safety strategies.
Ocasio-Cortez has a mixed record on citywide endorsements. She whiffed on the main event by endorsing Maya Wiley for mayor, with primary returns showing that the slice of the electorate she most cares about — working families in communities of color — went in a very different direction by choosing Eric Adams. But she scored a bull’s-eye by backing Brad Lander, the new city comptroller, who has already begun pushing progressive policies like the Green New Deal law that mandates ambitious antipollution standards for city buildings.
In nearly every aspect of politics that matters — re-election itself, fundraising ability, grooming younger politicians, staying in the national spotlight — Ocasio-Cortez is considerably more powerful now than when she exploded onto the scene in 2018. Should that trend continue, imagine what things will look like if Ocasio-Cortez remains in Congress until she reaches the average age of a member of the House: 57 years old.
That would happen in the year 2046. And by then, her seemingly fight-the-power thinking, style, and positions could well be the norm in New York politics. Don’t say you didn’t see it coming.

President Biden made yet another major gaffe during a commissioning ceremony for the USS Delaware, a nuclear-powered submarine.
“I’m deeply proud of the work [Jill is] doing as first lady with Joining Forces initiative she started with Michelle Obama when she was vice president and now carries on,” the president said.

Here’s Some Of The Garbage Democrats Funded As ‘Covid Relief’
BY: CHRISTOPHER JACOBS APRIL 04, 2022
As the nation’s debt has passed $30 trillion and inflation continues to skyrocket, federal funds are being used to fund four-star hotels and bailouts for deadbeat dads. A dozen years ago, Joe Biden tried to sell Obamacare to the public using these eloquent words:
Now, his administration continues to deliver on his 2009 promise. As the nation’s debt has passed $30 trillion and inflation continues to skyrocket, federal funds are being used to fund…four-star hotels and bailouts for deadbeat dads.
An Associated Press investigation discovered that the $1.9 trillion “Covid relief” package Democrats rammed through Congress last March has resulted in all manner of pork-barrel and wasteful spending programs—most of which have very little to do with the coronavirus, and all of which should outrage taxpayers forced to fund this nonsense.
Your Tax Dollars at Work
The spending spree Democrats passed in March 2021 included more than $500 billion in bailouts to state and local governments—on top of more than $400 billion in funds distributed to states in prior spending packages during 2020. These additional bailout funds, many of which have yet to get disbursed, came even though state and local government coffers were already flush by last spring, as lockdowns ended and the stock market boomed.
The Associated Press investigation examined what states and counties did with the federal dollars they received. Among the projects federal dollars helped fund:
“$1 million to pay off overdue child support in St. Louis. A city memo states that owing child support stops some people from looking for work because the overdue payments are garnished from paychecks; the program would ‘empower individuals’ by paying down a portion.” Translation: St. Louis is bailing out deadbeat dads who have skipped out on their obligations to their children—a fine way to teach responsible parenting. $300,000 for a museum in Worcester, Massachusetts honoring a famous African American bicycle rider from the turn of the last century. $5 million for the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, which “features niche sporting contests such as DanceSport, korfball, and flying disc.” $2 million to purchase a ski area in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. “$6.6 million to replace irrigation systems at two golf courses in Colorado Springs.” “$2.5 million to hire new parking enforcement officers in Washington, DC.” As a District resident, I particularly “appreciate” this “investment”—because if there’s one thing Washington needs, it’s more government bureaucrats levying arbitrary fines. A $12 million renovation for a minor league baseball stadium in Dutchess County, New York. $5 million from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts “to pay off the debts of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate in Boston, a nonprofit established to honor the late senator that has struggled financially.” $15 million in New Jersey to fund upgrades “to sweeten the state’s bid to host the 2026 World Cup.” $53,000 to renovate City Hall in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Tens of millions of dollars for tourist marketing campaigns—as if people who felt uncomfortable traveling during Covid need any more incentive to take a much-needed vacation. $140 million to fund a 29-story, 800-room hotel in Broward County, Florida that the county will own while a private company will manage. (Why a county has any business owning a hotel is anyone’s guess.) To get around a federal prohibition on using the “Covid relief” money for large capital projects, the county commissioners transferred the federal aid to the county’s general fund, then transferred general fund dollars to the project. If anyone in the private sector tried a gimmick like this, he would get arrested for money laundering—but it’s all in a day’s work for government entities maximizing the cash they can squeeze out of Washington. By and large, the officials defended these projects, despite their questionable association with the pandemic. Speaking about the $12 million baseball stadium renovation, Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro called it “ironic that this criticism emanates from the same congressional members who have brought back pork barrel earmarks.”
In reality, of course, many conservatives criticizing this spending don’t approve of earmarks. However, Molinaro’s rationalization for this wasteful spending—“Everyone else is doing it, so why shouldn’t we?”—reinforces the pernicious nature of earmarks’ return.
Spending Spree Fueling Inflation
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how programs like these “dirty dozen,” in addition to accelerating our national debt, have created the inflation mess our country faces at present. Hundreds of billions in wasteful government spending on projects like those above—because states literally have more money than they know what to do with—has resulted in an overheated economy.
Coupled with the trillions of dollars in money the Federal Reserve continued printing as recently as last month, this government spending has placed real families in a real financial squeeze. The sooner Washington stops over-spending, and claws back whatever money it can from these fiscally irresponsible projects, the sooner our country can get back to something approaching normal.
You are posting things that the states decided to spend Covid money on, not what was written into the bill. I'm not sure if you do things like this on purpose or if you just believe everything that sounds good to you.

WATCH: Joe Biden wanders around alone while everyone flocks to Obama
APR. 5, 2022 3:26 PM BY THE RIGHT SCOOP
This may or may not have lasted very long, but there were definitely a few moments where Joe Biden appeared to look around for someone to talk to at the White House while Obama had a lot of people around him.
I would say I feel sorry for the old dude but when I think about it I really don’t.
Biden is responsible for so much suffering around the world, from Afghanistan to Ukraine, and he’s responsible for everyone getting poorer here in America every time they go to the gas pump.
So no, I don’t feel sorry for him being unpopular because that’s all on him.
In a related clip, Biden apparently had a case of the munchies while Obama was speaking today at the White House:
You guys are so petty that you will latch onto the slightest thing to attempt bashing Joe Biden, and you usually look like fools for doing it. After the imbecile y'all elected, Biden could walk out to the mic butt naked and completely not knowing who he is or where he's at… AND STILL BE A BETTER POTUS THAT THE ORANGE OAF.

I'm fairly certain you don't see what you just did - especially your first sentence.
Well, it appears I was right. You spent the first 2-3 months before Trump was installed as president, and pretty much every day since, latching on to ANY thing anti Trump. And you're still doing it.

You know I hate all things Trump. I've said it. What the hell else do you want from me arch? I'm not stupid enough to fall for the trumpian crap. And will always punch fascists in the nose.
IMO, the only thing to do at this point (with the exception of holding him accountable for the things he did that was illegal) is to move on. Biden largely ran on a platform that he wasn't Trump, and stayed quiet for large portions of his campaign because Trump was doing a lot of his campaign work for him (convincing people they should vote not-Trump). So within that context, I still find it really weird for people to use the "yeah, but Trump..." arguments.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
Ya wanna know what Democrats have become? I'll tell you, they've become the fighter for Children and anyone that Bible totting republicans feel offends them. Like the LBGTQ+ community...
All this BS about Dems being pediphiles is just that, BS.. It's made up by those that can't find anything else wrong.

Biden largely ran on a platform that he wasn't Trump, and stayed quiet for large portions of his campaign because Trump was doing a lot of his campaign work for him
Actually Biden ran on many concepts and programs to help every day Americans. On a fair tax rate for the rich and corporations. To expand the Affordable Care Act to make it easier and less expensive for people to get healthcare. For a huge infrastructure program. For cutting student debt. There are many other things but I think those are enough things to make the point. And he spoke out about all of those.
Biden wasn't my first choice among the Democratic candidates running for the nomination. He wasn't even one of my top 2. But the only people who claim he didn't have a platform and speak out about it were the people that weren't listening. One first must look to news sources that report what he is saying in order to hear it.
In all actuality it was the other side who chose not to even adopt a new or updated platform in 2020.............
Republicans will not adopt a new platform at this week's convention and will instead pledge to 'enthusiastically' support Trump
The Republican Party in a statement Sunday said it would not be unveiling a new platform at this week's convention, citing the scaled-back nature of the event. The party said it would instead stick with its 2016 platform, even though parts of it are outdated, and "continue to enthusiastically support the President's America-first agenda."
The move is highly unusual, with parties generally using their conventions to showcase a new set of policies and pledges to win over voters. Critics are accusing the party of abandoning its commitment to principle and policy in its uncritical support for President Donald Trump.
Trump's biggest election claim was how dangerous democrats were. How they would destroy America. And yes, if how if he lost they must be cheating. The same thing he said when running against Hillary in 2016. That's what not having a platform looks like.
As it pertains to moving on from Trump? That's a great concept I would hope everyone could wrap their minds around. But let me explain why that's not practical. Because as of this very moment he's the front runner to become the Republican nominee for president in 2024. Because at this very moment he's holding rally's around the country still spreading his stolen election lies that caused Jan. 6th insurrection. He's picking and choosing to endorse candidates who are the most Trumpian people you can find. Because at this very moment his brand of politics has infected the Republican party to the point it is beyond recognition.
I would love nothing more than to move on from Trump. And as soon as we can get them to do it, we can do it. Until such time he is still a clear and ever present danger to democracy as we know it.

You and I get along pretty well, so let me preface this by saying I'm not trying to offend, but my answer to your statement is, “So what?” You see, I don't give a damn that people, especially those on the Trumpian/Q right, are tired of hearing about Trump. He tried to overthrow our legitimate government and install a fascist authoritarian regime, with himself as dear leader. AND he is still out there doing it with the aid of top Republicans every damn day. So oober, who really gives a crap about people being tired of hearing it? I sure as hell don't.
That's fair... but that's also kinda the gist of TDS.
The guy is a stain on our democracy, but he's also in the reaview mirror. We're not so far removed that we're past holding him accountable, but using him as an excuse for current presidential decisions is weak.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
TDS? That crap ass nickname for a fake syndrome made up by Trumpians? Who cares if they say that ish? Not me.
That whole TDS BS thing was to downplay ridicule of Trump. WHO in American history deserves more ridicule than him? Who? Not even the previous traitors were as bad as him. He is our Hitler, and our shame.
DeSantis Is Playing 4D Chess With Florida Redistricting – And Dems Can’t Do Anything About It by Gen Z Conservative April 7, 2022
Democrats in Florida have had a bad run of it since DeSantis got elected. What used to be a 50-50 purple state has, under his wise leadership and immensely popular initiatives, become bright red.
As if that weren’t enough to give what Democrats in Florida that still hold onto Congressional seats heartburn, things might soon get a good bit worse for them: DeSantis is pushing a major redistricting plan that could harness the state’s population growth and use it to give Republicans yet more seats.
You see, the legislature had created and passed, along party lines, a map that was favorable to the GOP. However, because of certain problems with it, DeSantis thought the map might not survive a 14th Amendment challenge and so vetoed it. Describing why, he said:
“In their, I guess understandable, zeal to try to comply with what they believe the Florida constitution was required, they forgot to make sure what they were doing complied with the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.”
“I think if you did a map along the lines that we had proposed, you will — that will be challenged and there’ll be plaintiffs that will say that that big district in North Florida, the District 5, that that’s diminishment and that must be put in and they’re going to ask courts, most likely state courts up to the Florida Supreme Court, to put that district back in and they will cite that provision of Florida constitution.
“We will obviously say it’s unconstitutional to draw a district like that where race is the only factor and so that will be a decision that probably is enough to resolve the map.“
So, the redistricting has been pushed back to April 19th, at which time the legislature will have to meet and quickly create a new map, one that will pass both state and federal constitutional muster. Politico, describing what could result from that, notes that:
Lawmakers approving a new map during a mid-April special session — just two months before candidates are supposed to qualify for the ballot — could give the GOP additional pick up opportunities as redistricting comes to a close across the nation.
Florida picked up one congressional seat in 2022 due to population growth for a total of 28. Republicans hold a 16 to 11 edge and DeSantis’ initial proposal would give Republicans a bigger advantage, boosting the number of seats Donald Trump would have won in 2020 to 18.
Giving the GOP two more seats could help make the red wave even larger in 2022. Redistricting plans in blue states, such as New York, are handing seats to Democrats, so DeSantis is only taking after their example and using the power of government to put his party in power.
That is, he’s doing so if the map he wants to be passed survives the almost certain legal challenges to it. Assuming the legislature gets it right and it can meet that hurdle, DeSantis could give the GOP a major boost and the Democrats a major case of heartburn.
Bidenflation Will Cost Each Family an Extra $5,000 Per Year by Warner Todd Huston | Apr 8, 2022 | Economy
Joe Biden’s disastrous economy will cost every American family dearly by the time 2022 is over. Indeed, it’ll sap more than $5K from our pockets.
According to a new review by Bloomberg, Bidenflation will end up costing American families at least $433 extra a month in higher costs for gas, food, utilities, and other expenses. That’s $5,200 a year.
Bloomberg tried to make it sound better by claiming that many Americans would be able to rely on the money they saved during the recent pandemic lockdowns. But even with that, the left-wing news site was forced to admit that Bidenflation will wipe out those savings (if any were even amassed in the first place).
Inflation is a “tax” on the American people, ad what we’ve seen from job reports is that increased wages are being eaten by the accelerating inflation.
The excess savings built up over the pandemic, and increases in wages, will cushion those costs, and allow spending to expand at a decent pace this year. But accelerated depletion of savings will increase the urgency for those staying on the sidelines to join the labor force, and the resulting increase in labor supply will likely dampen wage growth
Bloomberg also floated the fantasy that wage increases will help alleviate the Bidenflation trap. But, again, there won’t really be any wage increases. What company will give wage increases when people fear losing their job because prices for goods have soared?
Breitbart News explains:
Inflation-adjusted average hourly earnings for all employees decreased 0.8 percent from January to February, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on March 10. Compared with a year ago, inflation-adjusted average hourly earnings have fallen 2.6 percent.
According to a University of Michigan consumer sentiment survey, 32 percent of Americans expect their financial condition to deteriorate in 2022, likely because of inflation. Only 16 percent of Americans believe Biden’s policies will rectify the economic problems. “That will make fighting inflation harder because so much of inflation depends upon psychology and expectations,” Breitbart News reported.
Only one good thing might come from Biden’s destruction of the economy. We just might see a red wave bring hundreds of new Republicans to office in the 2022 midterms in November.
This doesn't surprise anyone that has a clue. But, some will come on here and say the wage increases didn't do it. It was the pandemic and the war. Not Biden's fault.
Some will say all the printing of money for stimulus checks didn't play a part. It was the pandemic, and the war.
Some will say paying people to not work didn't affect it, it was the pandemic, and the war.
Some people will say torrential spending didn't have an affect, it was the pandemic, and the war.
The Fed can't keep up now. Such experts.
Be prepared for, at a minimum, a recession. A possible depression, or close to it, is coming as well.
That is the Communists plan for wealth redistribution. Sap the people with money and give it in benefits to others. If you have a government credit card you can use at the grocery store, you don't give a damn what groceries cost.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.
