I'm sure they can find a way to even it out...I've seen guys play Halo and stuff, and they seem to move pretty quick, but I see your point.
it would be nice to have that option, though, with something identifying it as a cross-platform server. I have several friends with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

I just got it Monday evening, finished the single player by midday Tuesday. Not all that indepth, but quite engrossing and some really fun missions.
The graphics are superb, but in keeping with CoD tradition, the audio for the weapons is cheesy.
The online play is pretty good as well, and the more you play (and the better you do) the more 'XP' you earn. With more XP you go up in rank and as you do you unlock different "perks", such as Martydom where you drop a live grenade everytime you are killed (great fun for when you get whacked at close range, you take them with ya, hehe).
CRAZY..  ....Picked this game up Sat and finished it Monday morning.  .Loved the graphics but a little disappointed in how fast I finished it for what it was worth (gift from shop stewards on job)........

Um, it's meant to be a multi-player game, the single player is basically just an elaborate tutorial.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

just finished the regular game, fun stuff
started playing online a little bit yesterday, i love it, and it's very smooth for an online game

just built a new pc, have been playing COD4 for about 4 days now.
i am getting ok in the multiplayer stuff.
i find i like playing in the hardcore search and destroy servers...less shenanigans.
Every Cleveland fan is a diehard fan...everyone else quit watching

Look for the FlatlinersClan ( -{FC}- ) COD4 server. 206.212.243.254:28960 There shouldn't be any shenanigans on that one. That is my COD4/MOH Clan, we just got the server running a couple of days ago. Here is the GameTrackers info for it: web page

As for Good/Bad times, I dunno... we just got it up and running.
Evenings across all four time zones were typically the best times for the MOHAA servers, so COD4 will likely be the same.
We used to have a pretty good following on MOHAA and the servers were always packed, so eventually this should get that way as well.

I stuck to our Rifles-Only, Freeze Tag server, so there weren't too many ... and we ran ForeSight on our server.... kept the number of hacks to a minimum.

are you talking about how to get to that server?
if you are you open up multiplayer, hit join game....click on favorite servers hit add...and type in what purp put on there
or you can hit the 'tilde' key at the main page, then type "connect" (don't type the quotes) followed by those numbers.....

OK, Tried last night, nowhere to type it in, am I missing something. I click add favorites, and it is wanting one selected from the server list.

ok... open up multiplayer... hit "join game"... on to where it says "source: internet" click that it will cycle to "source:favorites" and "source:local" goto source favorites then i think its "new favorite" (in the upper right under ther refresh buttons) from there you can manually type in an ip make sure you put it exactly like purp typed it xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxxx (whatever those numbers were in his post )

I have to admit I love this game.
I didn’t want to buy it, my friends begged me, so I rented it.
I loved it, and I went out and bought it.
I bought it last week and I am a Level 36.
I am working on my Sub machine gun challenges and I hate them.
I love the assault rifles.

yeah i didn't like the sub's until i got the p90...works great... i use the silencer alot with uv jamming....nobody knows were you are....then i use myarterdom....charge a building and if you get killed they are staring at a grenade boom! lol

Hmm, I'll have to look again, don't recall seeing the add new favorite in the upper right, just the add favorite at the bottom.

Well I played your -{FC}- server some this weekend.. Got my butt handed to me. I saw you guys use punkbuster, but I wondered about 1 guy, wasn't an {FC} member, but I layed an entire clip of my M4 into him and he just stood there, pulled out his pistol and 1 shotted me. Another time, I came around a corner, and about to shoot the same guy who had his back to me, next thing I know I am dead and it says he shot me with an AK-47, he never even turned around.

whats your name florida.....i'm BrownieElf i haven't seen much like that happen, but if he's using the health addon, sometimes they are hard to bring down....its possible you had some lag, and he has a super fast connection, and he spun and killed you before your computer even registered it... i can get 12-15 kills....but some of those guys are unreal....but when they kill me a i watch the replay....they can aim yesterday i sucked bigtime... more kills than that usually requires getting airstrikes and copters...

Yeah I just go my MP4. I am now a level 49.
The P90 was real nice. I hated the skorpian and am glad I have completed my marksman challenge.
I really like the MP4, I just sit on the top of a building and snipe people with it.
I heard that once you get to prestige mode that you lose all of your weapons.
I can’t wait to get to prestige.

I go by "Exospawn" it wasn't lag or anything, because I know when it's that, and I seldom if ever get log, only on poor servers. Everything else was fine, and those {FC} guys are good, and obviously use teamspeak or something because they were well coordinated. But this one guy was just too good, and for the 5 rounds I stayed on he was always #1 in the ranks. And If I recall, {FC} server doesn't have killcam. Which I don't mind, it works both ways, allows you to stay hidden, rather than giving away your position with each kill. Killcam kinda negates being a sniper with a silencer. And there are mod programs out there that are not detected by PB. It's just a shame some people feel a need to cheat, it kinda ruins the fun. but the {FC} guys were cool, was on their side a few times, and they are very efficient and seem to have a good group of folks playing. here's my stats that could very well be....i haven't looked for mods, because it takes all the fun out of it.... i can remember when i first started MoHaa people were killing me left and right.... then i noticed some were shooting at me before i even opened doors... well i did some looking and found a skin cheat that showed enemys all around you thru walls and everything...took all the fun out of the game.... i got alot better, and even had some people accuse me of cheating, when after you know the maps so well, you know where people are likely to hide, so you see them... i like sniping the most so far, but i don't like that i don't have a silencer for the sniper rifle...should be an option to get one, although it might be impossible to kill them then... the m14 does work well for that but the scope isn't as good as the sniper rifle scope... i hope that if there are mods getting thru, that they find a way to shut them down cause this is a great game.... problem with going that route, when there are only a few players on the server is they always get around you....and it sucks trying to shoot a guy coming at you with a shotgun, or sub machine gun, when you have a single shot assult rifle lately my scores have dropped because i've been trying different guns out....the mp5 isn't bad, but i don't have the silencer yet...same with the carbine assult rifle..... i don't like the m16 cause the 3 shot burst sucks...wish there was a way to change those settings.... it also would be neat if you could add more options to your gun... like the grip, and the red dot sight..... should have made those bonuses if you entered prestige mode....

I think I know the wanker you're referring to.... we've recently had discussions on an individual ("Crazyredneck") that has shown up on the PunkBusted list that was on our server.... we've perma-banned him, so he shouldn't be a problem. Glad you enjoyed playing there though. The clan is all older folks... there aren't any young mouthy punks among us. I need to get on and play more often... haven't played COD4 in weeks.
There are some people though that are just sickly good. I'm *really* good in MOHAA on our Rifles Only server, and we get people every now and then that just outright light me up. Speaking of which, if you ever enjoyed the Freeze-Tag mod for MOHAA, you should try out our server for that too ( 206.212.243.253:12203 ).
As for cheats... it's like most anything. For every method created to stop something, someone is going to find a way to bypass it.... and I agree, it totally sucks. It completely ruins the game.

Yeah I saw on your clan website that they say you have a public teamspeak channel that others can join in to listen to and get to know folks. Can you give out that address? I'd be interested in it, as I much prefer working as a team than being a loner. I don't even mind being the bait.

You need to be set up with an account. It's "public", not open. From the TS thread over there: Quote:
