I have to disagree with their pick, though. They have our biggest do-over as 2004, Roethlisberger over Winslow. That would likely have been a huge move, but I would pick a different year, and pick (s)

Cleveland Browns
2004 NFL Draft, No. 6 overall pick: TE Kellen Winslow

This choice isn't as much about the player the Browns drafted as it is about the player the Browns did not draft. Cleveland missed out on a golden opportunity to select Ben Roethlisberger, an Ohio native who was ultimately taken by the rival Steelers with the 11th pick. While he wasn't drafted by the Browns, Roethlisberger still held the record for the most wins by a starting quarterback at FirstEnergy Stadium until Baker Mayfield finally broke Big Ben's mark in 2020.

While that would be a good move, imagine if we had changed up the 2014 draft instead.

13 Aaron Donald
22 Derek Carr
35 Joel Bitonio (I hear he's become pretty good) wink

Just imagine if, instead of Justin Gilbert and Johnny Manziel, we had take Donald and Carr.

2012
3. Trent Richardson -> Chandler Jones
22. Brandon Weeden -> Russell Wilson

Yeah there is a reason why we sucked for so long and couldn't get out of that expansion team mode. We had some terrible personnel decisions. smh
Its not a coincidence...we earned it!

Defense wins championships. Watson play your butt off!

Imagine if we had drafted Josh Allen instead of Baker. I think we would have a Super Bowl ring and be the favorites to win even more.

You and I both would have had heart attacks if that would have happened. I remember that we disagreedon who we should take, (I wanted Darnold, and you wanted Rosen) but we did agree that Allen was the guy we absolutely did not want.

Most definitely. But, the thread was about biggest mistakes. I actually agree w/the original one of K2 and Ben. Hindsight is 20/20. Just throwing another one out there.

Here is an aside, bro. I actually have stopped evaluating college qbs--at least publicly--after the Rosen debacle. LOL

Here is another one I did not consider earlier.

The choice to trade the 12th pick in the draft away to Houston and allow them to choose Watson. Yet another great move by the genius Sashi. Think about having Watson and not having to trade 3 first round picks for him. We probably would have won a Super Bowl w/him in 2020.

So much...

we could have had Rodgers... Wilson... Watson... Allen... so many potential QBs we missed....
