One of the reasons I believe you're not seeing an agreesive approach to this, is " they " can seem to figure out how to split the conference up to preserve the Ohio State-Michigan regular season rivalry.

All the other major conferences have figured out a way to keep thier rivalry games. We still get BlowU the same weekend same format. The problem is there are people holding up the process. I don't know who they are or why they stand for what the stand for, but if Notre Dame would join teh B10, that would give them 12 (I think that is right off the top of my head, if it's not I am sure we could find 1 more). Split it into two divisions and bam your done. Rocket Science?

Not going after you rpost, just the plain stupitity that is college football.

Fact is if teh Big 10 and Notre Dame would just get together already, make a super conferece (like everybody else has already done) it would help the Big 10 and Notre Dame out tremendously.

Notre Dame makes too much as an independent. They also have a freakin cake walk to the BCS if they're any good at all. I doubt they would be at all interested.

I would love for the Big Ten to extend an invitation to some of the up and coming programs though. West Virginia comes to mind immediately. I'm not sure how open they would be to the prospect of leaving the Big East but they would be a great addition IMO. Cincinnati and Louisville also come to mind.

I agree with your argument about ND, but I think they would see a boost in recruits if they would join the B10. I don't think they can return to the glory days of old staying ind. That is just my opionion of course, but I think if they stay as they are they will continue to make a lot of money.....Cake/walk thier way into a BCS game ever once in a while.....make more money from that....lose to a more athletic and more tested football team in eht bowl and try again next year. I think to compete at the National level, they need to be in the B10. But like most other things in our current world, it's not about that.....It's about money, and that is hwy your argument has so much validity.

The argument is that the "geography" of the Big Ten almost dictates putting Michigan and Ohio State in different divisions,.....

Bull Hockey. Do it anyway.

Back to the Big 12, does anybody know how the tiebreaker works if Okie State beats Oklahoma and Texas loses to A&M,...this put Okie, OkeState and Texas at 3 conference losses,....
