So you're in favor of OSU getting in by way of everyone else screwing the pooch but are against LSU getting back in to the picture under the exact same circumstances?
I don't agree with propelling LSU over Kansas... I can see Virginia Tech because LSU beat Tech early.... same with Georgia...
but my big quesiton is for voters would be why would you rank LSU behind Tech and Georgia last week if you are going to vote them ahead of them this week....
I hate the polls....
It happened to UM last year and will happen to Georgia, Virginia Tech and Kansas this season.
I disagree on Kansas. Their close loss to Missouri was diluted by the Tigers getting their doors blown off by OU.
Still Kansas has only one loss to a team that was ranked 4th in the nation on a neutral field... they play in a BCS conference and I find it hard to believe that a one loss team in a BCS conference would be jumped by a 2 loss team... just my opinion though. Doesn't mean much.

I understand but the biggest knock against Kansas is that they haven't beat anyone. Sure, they played Missou tough but they still lost. Their best win was what...Texas A&M? Maybe Kansas State? They avoided both OU and Texas and didn't win their conference. I don't think that should qualify you for anything.

WOOOHOOO!
I'm so happy right now, GO BUCKS!
I think we will play LSU. Especially after ESPN has been pimping them all night. Although I would looooove to play Va-Tech, they would also be deserving, thought not as much as LSU obv.

And that's why many people don't think they're one of the top 2 teams. The only team on their schedule that is currently ranked beat them.
This season is the perfect example of why College Football is killing it's own product. The BCS was put in place to put the best 2 teams against each other. So who the **** is that this season?
In what has been the craziest season maybe ever, wouldn't a playoff be the icing on the cake? Too bad the Big Ten's own Jim Delany is the most prominent waste of life holding it up.

Gladly accepted, since you owed us one,..if Tressel's only loss to Michigan in the last seven years hadn't happened you wouldn't have had to go on to get your ass kicked by USC,....we would have,....

I think it's really setting up the possibility of a split national title. Lets say LSU beats OSU in a close game and USC blows out Georgia. Then what?
That's the problem now. Unless OSU wins, I don't see how anyone will consider it an outright title. It's gonna have a little * next to it for a lot of fans. Which is obviously bad for the game.

Halftime Washington 28 - Hawaii 21. Terrible start for Hawaii, 3 turnovers. Hawaii with ball after halftime. Go Hawaii!

Can we not make the same statement about LSU ,....?? Kentucky and Arkansas ?? Oklahoma just beat the Number One Team In The Nation AT CRUNCH TIME,...at crunch time, LSU LOST to Arkansas,......

I think USC is the least of your worries, though they are playing good right now. LSU is the team you have to worry about. If they get put into the NC game, you're in for a long night. When it comes down to it, the two games LSU lost were both triple overtime. People are suggesting Georgia and they didn't even win their conference championship. If the BCS puts them in, it will be a joke.

They also played 7 teams who were ranked in the top 25 and they also absolutely DESTROYED the ACC champion and top 5 team Virginia Tech.
When Dorsey went down the defense was never the same. I think LSU, when healthy, is the best team in the country.

No,...it's dfifferent this time -- back then they all had 1 loss, so it was indeed difficult to pick out "the best two." Today, clearly, we have a (poll-voted) Number One, and the Number Two 's all have 2 losses,...not so clear.

how was it difficult? OU lost their conference title game, last game of the season... then got voted to the NC game... it was a joke... and when they got WHIPPED it showed what a joke it was... should have been USC and LSU
I think this year is ridiculous.

I don't disagree with that it was a joke, but it happened,...the system is what allowed it to happen,....I don't remember who USC lost to that year, but in some voters' minds, it must have been worse than Oklahoma losing to Kansas State (whom Ohio State subsequently DESTROYED,...)
Yes, this year is a mess, ...and there are people who say EVERY year is a mess. I just go with it. I didn't bitch when Texas played USC, and I didn't complain when FSU beat Oklahoma,....you go with the cards you get dealt. It's Ohio State's turn AGAIN, and it ain't their fault. So be it.

It is what it is guys. So I wouldn't worry how you got there, just that you did. We all know the current system sucks but it's the same system we started the year off with and every team had their chance to stake their claim.

Not only that, but the LSU D started going down hill before the Auburn game when Dorsey got injured. They really didn't play a good game on D since the Hokie game. Abiding here in SEC country I was able to watch all of LSU's games, and when they play to their potential they are the best team in the country. Problem is that hasn't happened since October. Since then their tackling has been sloppy, and there pass D has been less than desirable.
Again if we see LSU playing up to their potential they will kill us, but if they play like we saw from October on then we can beat them.
Against logic, the most effective armor is willful ignorance.

hells yeah to OSU this team was predicted to finish 3rd...IN THE BIG 10! Instead Tressel has this team primed for another national title run. Looking back now I'm actually somewhat glad we lost to Illinois, it humbled us. Im also glad we wont be playing WVU, because the thought of facing a scrambler like Pat White scared me. I honestly don't know who will be #2. I can see LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma, Kansas, or even USC. No matter hwat the outcome, you can bet tat whoever doesn't make it is gonna be complaining and seeling their story to the media as to why they should be there.
In other news, the mens basketball team had a 10 point lead (20-30) going into the half against #16 Butler, but scored only 16 points in the 2nd half and lost by 19. This team is really missing Oden and Connely right now
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Nope. Georgia.
Georgia better have a ZERO percent chance of getting in.
Same with Kansas.
Va Tech got HAMMERED by LSU.
It's LSU or Oklahoma if they win.
This could be the end of the BCS. What a freakin mess.
Ditto that...
Georgia loses the Conference on tie breakers...They CAN'T possibly be in it...Although they will be #2 ranked outside the BCS...lol...
Gotta be LSU or Oklahoma...
What a MESS...
Go Browns!!!

Right now I just want to see the best games. The top four teams (my opinion) being OU, OSU, LSU and USC, whatever combination, these four should play each other.

How is it bad for the game???? It wouldn't be the first time it has happened, nor would it be the last. All that will happen is it will spur more conversation around the country as to whether or not the current system is an effective tool for determining the #1 team in the nation in a given year.
The game will not go away, people will not stop watching college football as they did with baseball during the strike. (see, that WAS bad for the game)
College football is played for two reasons:
1) Prep league for the NFL, which is a business 2) Money
With yet another "controversy" more and more people will be hearing about it and reading about it and taking a look at it.
Cha ching......
