If people enter at designated areas and apply for asylum, I am for the process. The problem is the large majority don't. I'd be for extended Visas if they apply, but to just walk in and milk the system, screw that.

People confuse "immigrant", as in legal immigrant, with "immigrant", as in illegal immigrant. It's a constant calculated attempt at ..........well, you know.

And that’s what they’re doing even with title 42 in place. Freezing title 42 isn’t going to change a thing. We get more illegals with title 42 in place. They don’t apply for asylum because there’s a good chance they’ll be deported before they can apply. That was the purpose of trumps order with his version of title 42. Title 42 needs to go and a completely new reformed more humane immigration laws need to be written. But only a big beautiful wall will get the GOPers to the table.

Here is the basic problem…. No one knows what “comprehensive immigration reform” entails. It falls somewhere between “no one” and “everyone”

I would prefer a working visa system with registration, and application after a number of years and those who are high earners given a shorter waiting period.

I am frustrated by open borders, there are a lot of countries that you get removed or cannot work if you have the wrong type of visa or you stay too long.

The other point that has to be made is that fundamentally we are at near zero population growth and that in order to grow additional people are needed. So it is either immigrants or us…. and that is not happening.

They are freezing tonight on Christmas Eve looking for shelter. Hmmmm sounds familiar to a religion I’ve heard of.
