Gaylord Perry has died at age 84. He was the best pitcher I ever saw in a tribe uni. Rest in peace, big guy.

I read once that Gay Lord would load up his pitches with greasy substances.

He did, but was a great pitcher nevertheless. Weird to see the "censored" stuff.

I remember watching a video with Gaylord and he was talking about when he pitched for the Yankees. He was recalling that when they played in Cleveland, George Steinbrenner would comp their meals at the “Theatrical” restaurant. - Steak and Lobster of course. He noted that one time, him and Dave Righetti had finished eating and the waiter brought him a check. He was confused and thought it was comped. - Steinbrenner only paid if they had won that day. 😆 I think he made Righetti pay for the meal.

RIP, Gaylord. Got to see him pitch once when i was younger. The love for GP from the Muni crowd was amazing. A true wizard about where he hid it and how for loading the ball. One battling pitcher. Thanks for the great memories. Tribe pride.

Probably my favorite player of that era.

I believe he won Cy Young award as an Indian and as a Padre.

Messed with batters mind by touching the cap.

There will be no playoffs. Can’t play with who we have out there and compounding it with garbage playcalling and worse execution. We don’t have good skill players on offense period. Browns 20 - Bears 17.

RIP to a legend

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
